Top 10 Best Players in the 2019 NBA Finals
The 2019 NBA Finals marked an exciting matchup. Two teams, 33 players, one champion. The Toronto Raptors, in their first-ever finals appearance, faced the two-time defending champions, the Golden State Warriors. This list highlights the best players from that historic series.
I am convinced Kawhi is the best player on the court. He is an all-time great. He does whatever it takes to win and he is known for showing up against the Warriors. He has a vendetta against the Warriors and he will try to bring it out.
Curry had a great series against the Blazers and he will look to do it again against the Raptors. The greatest shooter in the game. If Curry does not show up though, the Warriors will have a problem. Plus, if Durant doesn't play, he might end up having to play against Kawhi Leonard.
Stephen Curry is the best player worldwide in history, in my opinion. Even the NBA says he is better than Michael Jordan, and Jordan is like a hacker in basketball.
Durant would be number one, but there are questions on whether he will play the beginning of the series, which could have a big effect on the outcome. If he does play, I can almost guarantee he will be guarded by Kawhi Leonard, which could pose a big problem.
Draymond was terrific against the Blazers. It will be interesting to see if he can do that against this staunch Raptor defense. On defense, he will probably have to guard Pascal Siakam or Kawhi Leonard.
The 2nd Splash Bro. He will be a tough matchup as we assume he will be facing Kawhi Leonard (Iggy is back). On the offensive end, he will probably be guarded by Green or Lowry, which should be very interesting.
Lowry had a great series against Milwaukee and he will be looking to do even better against the Warriors. Lowry will probably end up guarding one of the Splash Bros if Durant plays.
The matchup of Siakam versus Draymond will be a difference maker. They both play similar games and they motivate their teams.
A big shot taker for the Raptors. If he can cause some problems with the Warriors defense, that would be amazing. Plus, if by some crazy miracle the Warriors get DeMarcus Cousins back, I feel confident Marc Gasol can cause him problems on both sides of the court.
A difference maker on both sides of the ball. If he can just have a big performance in a few of these games, I feel like that could swing the series to the Raptors.
There is no guarantee Cousins will play, but if he does, he will have a huge impact.
Iguodala will have a huge responsibility if he plays. He will have the honors to guard Kawhi Leonard.
He has had a tough playoff run this year, but I feel like he will step up this series. He will be guarding one of the Splash Bros and he might be getting a lot of open looks on the other side.
Fred VanVleet had a great end to the Bucks series. Look for VanVleet to expose the Warriors bench.
