Shrek is a fictional ogre and titular character of the Shrek franchise. He debuted in the 2001 animated movie of the same name. He is voiced by Mike Myers.
I'm definitely skipping the remake because of this reason. Also, it was very unnecessary to make the Shrek remake, like Disney did with Toy Story 4.
Someone should add Cory Baxter from Cory in the House because he is ruined by his show's memes about being called "the greatest anime of all time".
I remember seeing the 4th film in theatres... Now it's ruined by the Cory fanbase, which was bad enough.
It's also pretty sad to know that he's literally more famous than Mike Myers these days.
2 Knuckles the Echidna
Knuckles the Echidna is a fictional character in Sega's Sonic the Hedgehog series. He is a red anthropomorphic echidna who is determined and serious, but sometimes gullible. He has the ability to glide and climb up walls, and is a powerful fighter due to his spiked hands.
Knuckles is badass and it's a damn shame Ugandan Knuckles exist. Don't know the point either ( Sanic is a different story)
- Stakamakataka And Knuckles
3 SpongeBob SquarePants
SpongeBob SquarePants is a fictional character and the titular character and protagonist of the American animated television series of the same name.
I get sick to death of hearing this show get mentioned and referenced all the time.
SpongeBob Square Pantis is not the best cartoon ever because it's just a meme tool on entire internet facebook, instagram, twitter, and anything.
The memes didn't ruined him, they just overloaded him.
4 Mr. Krabs
Eugene H. Krabs, or simply Mr. Krabs, is a fictional character in the American animated television series SpongeBob SquarePants.
Actaully, I think the memes gave him more personality from his usual money obsessive stereotyping. For example, the time he let Squidward have a bowl or even the time he gave Carl Wheezer an MnM makes him more likable rather than him just being a cheapskate!
His greedy personality ruined him.
Are you feeling it now, Mr Krabs?
Oh yeah, Mr krabs!
5 Robbie Rotten
Robbie Rotten (played by Stefán Karl Stefánsson) is a lazy man who continuously formulates feckless schemes in which he masquerades in a disguise to lure the residents away from their newly-active lifestyles. He passionately abhors the influence of Stephanie and Sportacus on the townspeople. A number of his plans are intended to do away with them. Ironically, Robbie places so much effort into his schemes that he becomes one of LazyTown's most active citizens.
Since late 2016, Robbie Rotten became a pop culture phenomenon with the “We Are Number One” meme.
Actually, the memes got him much better off. The memes were made to make people aware of his cancer and to encourage people to help him get enough money to pay for treatment. The memes are also good.
The meme do opposite of ruined Robbie Rotten. They actually made him better
6 Patrick Star

7 Sonic the Hedgehog
Sonic the Hedgehog, trademarked Sonic The Hedgehog, is the title character and protagonist of the Sonic the Hedgehog series released by SEGA, as well as numerous spin-off comics, five animated shows, and an animated OVA.
The character and the entire franchise is seen as a joke nowadays. Doesn't help that two of the most despised video games ever made (according to Wikipedia) come from this franchise. Also, the trailer for his upcoming movie pretty much confirms my point.
Crossover shippers ruined Sonic more than anything else.
Ever since 2006, He hasn't been taken seriously.

Ok ima just say something about her rq. She deserves her fame, she is extremely talented.

Then got turned into a meme
Her popularity ruined her, I prefer Megpoid Gumi and Megurine Luka over her
16 Freddy Fazbear
Freddy Fazbear (originally known as Freddybear, as seen in the Kickstarter) is one of four main antagonists of Five Nights at Freddy's, who later appear as variations in the succeeding games.
