Best Disney Channel Original MoviesA list of the best movies created by Disney Channel
I live and breathe this movie. I know every word to every song. I wish I had the friendship and relationship that gaby and Troy had. It's really perfect. This movie is the BEST ONE EVER in my book. I cry my eyes out every time I watch the first one in the first song because it's like they have no idea how amazing it this really turns out to be. It's tears of happiness and how Proud I am. Cry when they graduate and words cannot express how at home I feel when I watch it. My final words of my high school graduation speech are, "I want the rest of my life to feel just like my high school musical! "
This movie is too good to be true! 1st of all it has a great message about breaking free from the crowd and being you! I feel this is an amazing movie to watch at any age! Also has anybody else realized this is one of the only Disney Channel Original Movies to have a second and third movie made after it! I like the fact that it shows that one day all the high school fun will end! It's so true and realistic! Yeah sure no high school has everyone sing and dance in perfect routine to be honest I know I couldn't do that! But the story line is great!
High school musical is just a cute movie that is great for any age. There's something special about this movie that hits every other Disney Channel movie out of the park. You have great kids that you can look up to, amazing singing and dancing, and friends sticking together. And I don't think the amazing, blue eyed, talented Zac Efron hurts this movie in any way. Haha
These lists are confusing. This is the best of the original movies of what was Disney channel and is number two on the worst of Disneys original movies? I mean when I was six I obsessed over this movie and I still like listening to their songs laugh out loud but this shouldn't be one on this list. Maybe like 5? I still really enjoy watching it time to time... Brings back old memories right?
Right. I will admit, High School Musical is an iconic movie and was one of the first, or maybe the first Disney Channel Movie to become super popular and stuff. I mean they still play it on the channel nowadays and even small kids know about it. But most iconic and most popular doesn't mean best. That's what this list is, the BEST Disney Channel movies. And that is what Lemonade Mouth is. The acting is superb, much better than most acting in HSM. I can tell the actors really got into the characters they were playing, and they made me really like the characters. That was quite hard to do with High School Musical, as most of it was badly acted and I wasn't a big fan of any characters expect Ryan and Kelsi. Now, High School Musical had more songs. However I think the Lemonade Mouth songs were better and had more meaning. With an exception of Breaking Free, the HSM soundtrack isn't all that great especially compared to the songs in Lemonade Mouth. This movie is probably one of the last ...more
This movie is the best DCOM ever for a bunch of reasons. One of them is the acting. Bridgit Mendler does an amazing job playing Olivia, you can feel her pain and sadness. Adam Hicks's acting is really good too because when you watch Lemonade Mouth, you understand when doesn't like change and can get snappy about it but still has a heart of gold. Hayley Kiyoko brought just the right amount of fire and ambition and determination needed to play Stella. Naomi Scott played Mo perfectly, because you can definitely tell Mo is under much pressure from her father to be a perfect Indian girl but just wants to be herself. Nick Roux as Scott was an awesome decision, he adds just the right amount of caring and chill to Scott without going overboard. Blake Michael acts Charlie very well and with his acting you believe Charlie is very in love with Mo. Chris Brochu played a good antagonist as Ray. The supporting actors and actresses also do an amazing job. The music is great as well. All of the songs ...more
This is a great movie. I really enjoyed it. It's one of the best, especially considering the recent DCOM. This is coming from a teen who is well beyond her Disney years. It's really nice to see a great movie like this when it seems like Disney has lost it's touch. It has a true message. You don't see many movies like this anymore.
Great movie that incorporated music into a story that was interesting, serious, and innocent all at the same time. Had a much better story to tell than both Camp Rock and High School Musical with songs better than both of the mentioned movies. Should definitely be first place.
They are great. It's one of those Halloween movie you'll leave watching without having nightmares or thinking it was stupid. Good movie!
I'm voting for the FIRST one since all the sequels were nothing like the original (in quality, tone, and appearance).
I love this movie a lot since I was a child. It is a little bit scary but at the same time so adventurous. I love all its characters
I can't express how much I love these movies. Ever since I was a kid, I'd watch these movies every Halloween. (And I still do heh)
I love this movie, this might be the best movie of all time. Here is the way you like this movie. The characters are great, the animation are great, the adventure are great, the songs are great. I want this movie all time. This might be the best disney channel movie of all time.
"Wow, if I had a nickel for every time I was doomed by a puppet, I'd have two nickles."-Dr. Heinz Doofenshmirtz
So good! Phineas and ferb is a good show and the movie was also really good
This movie of Phineas and ferb is awesome, I recommend giving it a look
Camp Rock rocks, especially the sequel. The first one had too obvious of a plot, but the second movie was incredible with a great storyline of the two camps competing against each other.
The music was fantastic in both films, and Demi Lovato did an incredible job with her singing and dancing, especially considering how young she was at the time.
Brand New Day is a song that makes you just want to join along, along with many other great hits that are upbeat and catchy.
Having future stars like Demi Lovato and the Jonas Brothers truly made Camp Rock phenomenal, a movie you want to see again and again.
I find the music in Camp Rock much better than High School Musical, and Camp Rock should be rated way ahead of High School Musical.
The film is really awesome. However I how found a mistake, when Mitchie's mother finds a leaflet, when you look at the bottom of the page when it closes when they zoom out it closes again. It's been cut wrong.
Love Camp Rock, especially Demi Lovato! It has a heart felt message and I just love it! I wish there were more movies with the Jonas Brothers and Demi because when they work together, its magic
LOVE IT! Demi Lovato and Joe Jonas forever! I mean they are so good and I want Camp Rock 3! I wish that! Demi songs are perfect!
Wendu Wu is really entertaining. It gives you a message that you can do anything if you put your mind to it. It is in a Chinese accent that most of the characters speak so you cannot understand but is in English so you should be able to. I recommend this movie to anyone even old people.
Such a good movie, but I just wish I could find it somewhere, it is a really great movie and I suggest watching for anyone who hasn't, I grew up on this movie as a kid and I just know you will all love it.
This movie is great as me as a child.
But the scene where that stone statue is a bit creepy.
But why does souls possess in different people.
But Food Boy is great in my opinion.
Love Brenda Song. Saw her on the Suite Life and her acting was great. Wendy Wu: Homecoming Warrior has a decent plot and well-written characters. Vote for Wendy Wu!
Let's be serious. This is the 1st ever Disney series where the entire cast can act. Putting them in a movie? I cry every time at the end. Best dcom ever!
This is the best T.V. series to movie adaption Disney has ever made
Love you selena gomez
This movie is the second most watched after HSM2! It deserves 2 be higher
I watched this movie just now, expecting it to be good but nothing better. I absolutely loved it. It teaches the importance of friendship and not to judge people when you know nothing about them. I wouldn't say it's the greatest Disney Channel movie, but if High School Musical (one of the cringiest and definitely NOT the best DCOM) is in the top spot, then Princess Protection Programme deserves to be way higher than 10. I'm not saying that I hate HSM, it just isn't really the "best" like everyone calls it.
LOVE this movie SO much!
Possibly the best Disney Channel original movies along side High School Musical, Camp Rock, And Radio Rebel.
It's a really funny and super cute movie.
I can't help but smile when I watch it, plus Demi Lovato's smile is quite contagious.
And I love both of these girls so much, Demi is like my role model
This was my favourite growing up. I had nothing to do as a 10 or 11 year old, this happened to be on and I loved it! I watched it every time it was on TV and honestly now that I'm remembering this movie, I think I should rewatch it soon.
I just love the plot line. Country girl meets teen princess. Different, huh? Plus Demi Lovato, and Selena Gomez. Need I say any more than that?
16 Wishes should be the first. It really shows an amazing lesson which I will let you find out on you own. Watch this show it is the best movie ever. One the many lessons is that you want to live in the moment and be thankful that you have people with you now because sometime they might not be there. So, I highly suggest to watch this. It is great for any age!
It is the awsomest movie I have ever seen. The moral of this story is presented in such a way that if a normal person says it we will think he's crazy but is we have a look at this movie we will be like :o I should be happy with what I have. If this is the way to teach kids their lessons then it's the best way.
This movie is really good! The moral of the story is amazing. It's interesting for everyone and teaches a really good lesson of appreciating what you have, and the people around you because one day they might not be there.
I LOVED this movie! It was so interesting and intriguing. I loved it! One of my favourites! Especially in the end! I love the plot so much and her realising she needs her parents in the end! It's so exciting! A must see!
This movie should be way higher on this list. Really teaches you some lessons and also has amazing choreography, singing and dancing. And also featuring the amazing Zac Efron.
I like this movie because it change my future and I want you to play this movie on Live T.V.
I love it, it is sad when gabriella sings that song to troy and then leave because how the country club had changed him
I love this movie it touches my heart.
It was amazing.I love all the songs.
Specially gotta go my own way
When I first saw it I was like... How will it be, the show was good but the movies off the shows usually aren't... But it was surprisingly good. I watch it at Christmas, and not at Christmas.
Sure Amy was kind of... Weird... But still. I just don't like how in the movie she was "pregnant" but nothing of that in the show
I'd give it 8/10
First time I watched this I cried. It's so sad but really tells the true meaning of Christmas is being with family. The ending was amazing your in a simple cute little restaurant with Christmas tree pancakes and an Annoumcement of a new baby it doesn't get better than this
This movie is great for Christmas. Christmas is my favorite holiday. I love to watch great family movies like this one.
This had be the best movie ever you can't stand the awesome adventure a mother and her daughter has. It's an awesome movie of forgiveness and a star that goes on top of a Christmas tree
Geek Charming is kind of a similar story line to Cinderella but its backwards. You have this rich popular girl and this geeky nerdy boy. They meet up at school when this nerdy boy has toa project for class. They bond over time while doing the project and come to realize they like each other. It ends perfectly like it should have with them now together and a happy ending.
I'm not saying it was the greatest movie but it should definitely be in the top 5 if not top 5 for sure top 10. This was a great movie
Amazing and I loved the ending! Sarah Hyland was amazing and it just shows that no matter how different you are, you can still be friends and have social interaction with them!
Geek charming is nice story I don't know why it's number ten it's about a girl who is a shellfish person who has a sweet side to her self so now that I have told you about this fabulous movie put it up to 10 RIGHT NOW! Bye
I'm 15 and I love it! It's a great example and lesson about not judging people and giving them a chance.
This is way better than High School Musical and Camp Rock. This movie is amazing. It's one of those movies that will never get old.
I simply do not know why it's that low. SHould be much higher.
There 's cole and Dylan sprouse in here!
I think this movie is great, In my opinion I Think Suite Life Series deserves 100 of your votes
This is easily the best Disney movie ever made. Now, I can go on for hours explaining why my opinion is the only right answer but, ill just stick to the main facts. 1. its real it shows ethnicity 2. the music is banging 3. the acting pretty good 4. best storyline
This movie is the best Disney Channel movie that has ever came out. It teaches good lessons and is very inspirational. The songs are uplifting and the cast is perfect, they all brought a different part to the movie that made it great. The only thing I don't like is the fact they never gave this movie a sequel, yet High School Musical gets 2 sequels and a spin off.
This movie by far is the best Disney movie of all time. Finally there is a movie that reaches out for both Boys and Girls. The music is amazing and most movies that I've seen on Disney are kinda, "eh" saw that happening. But this movie keeps you watching it til the very last part. Great job Disney with this 2012 movie, best Disney movie of all time!
This move was awesome. It truly captures the essence of Black people and I loved it. It was not discriminating and it also portrayed blacks in a good manner. The music is amazing as well. Rap and Pop go well together. Great job on this film, Disney!
This is one of those movies that deserves a sequel and sadly they haven't made one yet. I would like to see Demi and Joe's relation develop more, as well as Nick and Dana and Tess and that guy she always argues with. Also, Kevin's character still needs a girlfriend, as well as some of the other characters who still needs true love. I wish the cast would all get together and make another movie.
Music was amazing and I wished there was a Camp Rock 3 because Demi and the guys are just amazing together. However the first one was better than the second. But it was still VERY good
I love the movie! I record it every time it comes on and it has my favorite singers in it Demi lovato Joe Jonas/the Jonas brothers
This film is amazing, the boys and demi are just so talented, they taught everyone to follow and chase their dreams, love you guys x
I like the main character. Although she spews that "be yourself" nonsense I despise, she's still quirky, strong-willed, good natured, and is actually a pretty relatable character. Even the principal's motives are quite solid. (If a radio program was encouraging everyone to turn lunch into a dance party, I'd be pretty ticked off as well) There are still things I dislike, such as everyone blindly following Rebel's advice, (that popular girl was the only one in THE WHOLE SCHOOL who disliked her?! ) those "ha ha, boys are quirky! Laugh at them! " moments, and the best friend's a bit annoying.
But this is definitely a film I can watch again. Several times.
This has to be one of my favorite Disney movies; and their are a LOT of them. The actor Debbie Ryan really shined when portraying her character, Tara. A shy girl, with her own radio station? What could go wrong? What could go right...!? :) Don't want to spoil it! This movie really proves the point of whoever you are, you have a voice, and that there shouldn't be and stereotypes, (in high school). We should all be considered the same, in our own special, unique way. Go watch it right now on Netflix, on demand, or Disney channel! 10/10 recommend! Enjoy!
Very empowering movie. I was ready to go through the T.V. and yell that I was radio rebel. This is a must see movie and it will really make you happy.
This would be on my worst list. Plus, The custome designer needs to be fired. The main character had the ugliest dress out of everyone at prom.
No idea how High school musical got higher than this masterpiece.
This was my favorite movie for the longest time!
Best Disney movie ever! Can't believe its number 44! Its full of surprises you would'nt believe your eyes! Come on people vote it! Show your taste!
I love magic and witches and stuff, so this movie would be my favourite.
Excellent movie with lots of surprises!
Good movie. Love lasts forever
I was so torn because there are so many good movies on this list. Halloween town and twitches, camp rock, 16 wishes, I could go on. But I am shoched that this movie is in 71st place. I've seen many disney channel movies, but this is truelly the only one I can watch 50 times without getting bored. The plot is great, the main characters are cute and quirky, and it sends a good message about friendship. Plus it is so entertaining. For once, they didn't ask jason dolley to play the dumb guy, and he did a great job as vergil. Charlie and Zeke are also amazing. Ugh, wonderful movie, I never get bored with it
This is probably the best Disney movie ever made! I'm shocked that this is in 69th place! This movie has 3 main characters, Charlie, Virgil, and Zeke. Charlie is a genius who skipped a lot of grades. Virgil is a guy who was popular until he stands up to his friends for Charlie. Zeke is a guy who is kind of scary, but is good at building. I won't tell you any more so that I won't ruin the movie!
I loved this movie when I was 10 and I still love it now, I haven't seen it in along time but it was funny and it was suspenseful!
None of these movies should be considered "good" but this is the only one I remember actually working as a movie.
What?! Why is this 69 on the list? It has several really good meanings. 1) Anyone can change.
2) True beauty comes from within 3) Love is stronger than evil 4) Working as a team is better than going solo 5) Face your fears I could go on and on... Not to mention the acting! Each actor played there role perfectly. come on people get this movie to #1.
This is the best Disney channel movie ever. It deserves to be number one because it is the only thing Disney Channel has produced in the last decade that has a single original idea to it
It was good, but it literally came on everyday for an entire month, it was okay and they said it was relatable but it wasnt, I mean, when was the last time you did any of what they did?
This is easily the best one on this list! 96? Wow. I guess it's okay that Lemonade Mouth is number 1, but Descendants should be WAY higher than this!
Needs more recognition to be honest. A Great Movie. Better than some of Disneys newer work.
Cute movie! Makes everyone feel Irish
This movie kicks ass
I have a very strong connection to this movie . Growing up it really showed me how cruel people can be. It brings you to the real world.
This is one of the best movies I have ever watched even if it is not a dcom. The main actor and actress were so good together. I could watch this movie over and over and not get tired of it.
I love this movie, but it's come on Disney Channel a lot, it seems like a DCOM, but sadly it isn't.
I really like this movie, it's so fun and sweet. And I also like Selena Gomez and I LOVE Drew Seeley. TRY to see it
I love the songs, especially "Fearless", it's just so catchy!
I Love it! it sends a really great message that you'll have to watch the movie to see.
Pretty good movie, decent songs...
I just watched a little bit of it on YouTube, and it almost brought me to tears. It's so sad, and yet so deep in a non-Disney way. This movie and The Color of Friendship are honestly the best Disney has ever made! Shia does such a good job with the role of Eddie. He makes it seem like he's just like that character. The watermelon scene and when Eddie is on the floor crying just broke me down. And I think that the baseball scene was really cute.
You can't explain how great it is, all you can do is say it.
It sometimes comes on at like 2 or 2:30 AM, but I doubt I would ever be allowed to stay up that late. Ever.
My own brother has special needs and at the time that the movie aired on Disney Channel, I was an 11 year old who was going through my own emotional break downs. This movie continues to hit home not only for me, but for my whole family and I really wish Disney would bring back the original movies based on real life situations. This movie is really powerful. It is sad, but the sadness is overwhelmed by the the triumph of a family bond like no other. Definitely a keeper in my collection!
Great, inspiring, and it teaches us all a little something about life and love and family. It's definitely the best Disney movie. They need to make more like this to help guide this young generation
I loved the old movies when they would TEACH you something and have an all round great cast. I don't know why HSM is even on the top 10 this should be number 1, it teaches you about disabillities, being different and its touched me
