Top 10 New York Jets Players of the 2017-2018 Season
The Jets were one of those teams where, right off the bat in 2017, it felt like they were trying to tank the season. Still, could they at least compete in those 16 games without being so predictable?
I mean, they did have some players who weren't all bad.

Muhammad Wilkerson
Muhammad Wilkerson, born October 22, 1989, in Elizabeth, New Jersey, is a former American football defensive end. He was drafted by the New York Jets in the first round of the 2011 NFL Draft and played for them through the 2017 season. In 2018, he joined the Green Bay Packers for one season before exiting... read more
A solid player that deserves better from a team that just isn't good all around, even defensively. I consider that he is the leader of that front.

Leonard Williams
Leonard Williams is an American football defensive tackle who currently plays for the New York Jets. He was selected sixth overall by the New York Jets in the 2015 NFL Draft and has earned two Pro Bowl selections during his career. Known for his strength and versatility on the defensive line, he has... read more
I can see him having a third-year breakout. Last year he was pretty good, racking up seven sacks. For a first-round pick, it's time to really become a nightmare for opposing lines to deal with, the likes of Leonard Williams.
-
Jamal Adams
Looks like the real deal, but was that their biggest need in the draft? I guess so since Calvin Pryor left, but more important than a quarterback, no less. I mean, Josh McCown may be old, but not when he's in his late 30s and potentially finished real soon.
Meanwhile, back to Adams. He will probably be the only exciting thing about this entire team, just to see how he plays in general.

Kelvin Beachum
Kelvin Beachum Jr. is an American football offensive tackle who has played in the National Football League. He was drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2012 and has also played for the Jacksonville Jaguars and other teams. Beachum is also known for his philanthropic work, particularly in the areas of... read more
One of the few bright spots about the Jets this year is bringing in Beachum from the Steelers and the short-lived Jaguars. He can block decently, a lot better than Luke Joeckel ever will.

Matt Forte
Matthew Garrett Forte (born December 10, 1985) is an American former professional football player who was a running back in the National Football League (NFL) for ten seasons. He played eight years with the Chicago Bears and finished his career with the New York Jets. Forte was selected to two Pro Bowls... read more
Forte has to pray that Powell screws up, otherwise his career will go downhill quickly in New York. Sure, he still had 800 yards, but it was done unjustifiably. They benched him near the end of the regular season.
-
Darron Lee
Needs to step up this year badly since he did poorly his first year, even suffering through injuries. He has potential to be great, but what sucks about the Jets is, look who's gone and tell me who's capable of stepping up in the middle. A chance for Lee is now, before it's too late.

Bilal Powell
Why was Powell put in over Forte near the end of 2016? Powell was good and all, but is he going to stay consistent? I mean, I'm predicting it gets flipped the other way once again because the Jets don't know what to do or who is best for the first-team chart.

Austin Seferian-Jenkins
Austin Seferian-Jenkins, born on April 14, 1992, is an American football tight end who was selected by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the second round of the 2014 NFL Draft. He played college football at the University of Washington and also spent time with the New York Jets and Jacksonville Jaguars. Though... read more
He had his ups that one year in Tampa Bay, but with how bad that offense is, he might as well be the only guy to pass to aside from your two running backs, an aged Forte and Powell. Speaking of.

Morris Claiborne
When I heard the team would sign Claiborne, I initially thought this was your replacement for Revis Island. Morris has shown he is not a No. 1-caliber corner, and he is not always on his game. You saw it in Dallas. The Jets clearly don't see that. The sad thing about it is he's one of their better players.
