Top 10 NFL Teams that with the Biggest Bandwagon Fans

Every NFL team has its die-hard fans, the ones who stick around through every losing season, heartbreaking playoff exit, and questionable draft pick. But then there are the bandwagon fans, the ones who jump from team to team, always riding with whoever is winning at the moment. You've seen them before. One year they're all about the Patriots, the next they're suddenly die-hard Chiefs fans.

Bandwagon fans are everywhere in the NFL. Some teams attract them more than others, usually because of recent success, superstar players, or a long history of championships. It's not necessarily a bad thing. Some people just like to watch good football, and if that means switching allegiances whenever a team is on a hot streak, so be it. But for fans who have stuck with one team through thick and thin, it can be frustrating to see the stands filled with people who just showed up when things started going well.

So which NFL teams have the biggest bandwagon fanbases? That's where you come in. If you think a certain team deserves to be ranked higher, cast your vote and help decide which teams have the most fair-weather fans.

The Top Ten
  1. New England Patriots

The New England Patriots are a professional American football team based in the Greater Boston region. They compete in the National Football League as a member club of the American Football Conference East division. The Patriots have won six Super Bowl titles, tying them with the Pittsburgh Steelers... read more

I live in North Carolina and have watched the NFL since 1982. The thing that bothers me most is Patriots fans. Before 2001, I rarely met anybody who was a fan of theirs. Now, they're everywhere beating their chests.

The Patriots have had an amazing, sometimes lucky run, but when Brady and Belichick are gone, the dynasty will be gone also. I guess they'll have to find another team to watch because most people want to pull for a winner so they can sleep well at night.

Only because of Tom Brady. Remember when he deflated those footballs? Yeah, that's why I don't like the Patriots, and I still see bandwagons. Stupid Patriot bandwagons!

I mean no offense to those rooting for the Patriots for years, by the way. I respect that you cheer for the team you love and will always be on their side. I just hate the bandwagons.

  2. Seattle Seahawks

Massive bandwagon jumpers. They have a local college teaching Football 101 to bandwagon fans. All of the 'We Are 12' banners in Seatac are annoying, like their bandwagon fans.

I live in Texas. When the Cowboys started losing, I started to see NFL jerseys from teams other than the Cowboys.

When Dak and Zeke came aboard, they got dusted off and put on, and you saw posters like "DAK TO THE FUTURE." When Dak proved to be a bust and when Zeke got suspended, they put away their Cowboy gear. Bandwagoners describe them to a "T."

All those fake people being bandwagons didn't live their whole life as Cowboys fans. I did.

  4. Pittsburgh Steelers

The Pittsburgh Steelers are a professional American football team based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, that competes in the National Football League. The Steelers have won six Super Bowls, tying them with the New England Patriots for the most in NFL history. Their championships were earned in the years... read more

I was born and raised in Ohio, but I'm surrounded by Steelers fans. It's always the same thing: "You're just mad because we got 6 rings" or "I've always been a Steeler fan."

I do this little test that no Steelers fan has ever been able to pass. I draw a rectangle on a piece of paper and say, "This is Pennsylvania. Point to where Pittsburgh is." Not one person has ever been able to show me where the city even is.

It's always women and junior high kids. Or it's some guy whose girlfriend starts wearing Pittsburgh gear because he does. They need to have pride in their home state and support their home teams. I know the Browns and Bengals are usually terrible, but nothing is worse than someone born and raised in Ohio rooting for the Steelers.

  5. Carolina Panthers

The Carolina Panthers are a professional American football team based in Charlotte, North Carolina, that competes in the National Football League. They are part of the NFC South division and began play in 1995 as an expansion team. The Panthers have appeared in two Super Bowls, in 2003 and 2015.

I vote these guys number 1. There are so many bandwagons because of Cam that everyone told me the Broncos were going to lose to the best team in the NFL over and over again. Then they lost.

15-1 season. Ask them how many players they know. Cam Newton, that's it.

I have been a fan forever and know that they have tons of bandwagons. #allmyfriends

I mean, I am here in 2024, and this is a fact for bandwagoners. The Niners are last in their division right now, and all their good players are injured. I have started to see that people stopped liking the Niners just because they were not doing well.

  8. Minnesota Vikings
