Top 10 NFL Teams Least Likely to Win Super Bowl 54 (2020)
I've compiled a list of the most likely candidates to win the Lombardi Trophy. Now, let's take a look at the flip side. Here's who's currently at the bottom of the barrel.
-
Miami Dolphins
They're just too inconsistent for my liking. I really don't like the direction they are going in. This team is looking to be bad for a while.
It's tank time in South Florida.
I guess no one watched football this year. They went 10-6, while the Jaguars, who are ranked lower, went 1-15.
-
Arizona Cardinals
Arguably the worst team in the league, they will likely stay that way for a while. They literally drafted Josh Rosen 2.0 instead of someone to rebuild around.
-
New York Giants
There's really nothing going for them outside of poor Saquon. You know they're bad when they decide to stick with Eli and then get Daniel Jones over, oh, I don't know, Dwayne Haskins? They're clearly rebuilding and going to start from scratch.
You guys better not ruin Saquon's career. He doesn't deserve this.
-
Cincinnati Bengals
Honestly, this team is so mediocre. They really haven't done anything notable this offseason to convince me they're a playoff team. They're arguably the worst team in the AFC North now.
Have fun in the basement, Cincy.
-
Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Okay, you got Bruce Arians as your new coach and managed to get Ndamukong Suh in free agency, which is great, but I don't see you guys getting to the playoffs, at least not yet. I say wait at least a year or two and then come back to me.
You're on the right track, but it's just not enough right now. You've still got Famous Jameis Winston to worry about first.
-
Detroit Lions
I can't see them going anywhere this season. The Lions are the definition of mediocrity. I can't really tell what they're doing. It's like they have one foot on the competing for a Super Bowl side and the other foot on the tanking side, with a gap in between.
That gap is this team. Not good enough to win but not bad enough to tank. Matt Patricia better complete that culture change or else he might be shoved out the door.
-
Oakland Raiders
Interesting offseason, but this team still looks bad on paper. It's almost like they just put a band-aid on over last year. They're kind of better, but not really. Combine that with the fact that they are in the AFC West, which is one of the most competitive divisions, and you're looking at another season of tanking as they prepare to move to Vegas.
-
New York Jets
I still don't think they will make the playoffs, even with all the additions they have acquired. Yet something tells me they will be different this year.
They're definitely going to be the better New York team, I'll tell you that.
-
Denver Broncos
I can't see Denver making the playoffs until they find a good quarterback. I am not convinced that Joe Flacco is the answer. Knowing Elway's luck with quarterbacks, Flacco and Drew Lock will likely be sent to the QB graveyard, just like Case Keenum was a year ago.
Even with a solid defense, I can't see them getting over the hump, especially with KC and LA in their division.
I think the Broncos will be big underdogs next year and may surprise some people.
-
Pittsburgh Steelers
Well, the war is over now, but the recovery process sets in. The Steelers now have to deal with the nuclear fallout of the B trio splitting up. Last year, they barely missed the playoffs. Now it will probably not be as close. It is the end of an era.
Have fun being in third place in the division now.

?
Houston Texans
-
?
Indianapolis Colts
-
Seattle Seahawks
They are obviously one of the top 5 teams in the NFL. How can they be bad if they have Russell Wilson, Bobby Wagner, Tyler Lockett, K.J. Wright, Chris Carson, Greg Olsen, and others? They make it to the playoffs almost every time.
I think they have a 21% chance of winning Super Bowl 55.
-
Washington Redskins
-
Jacksonville Jaguars
Jags, you're going to have an interesting year. You still have most of your young talent. It's just a matter of performance.
Make the playoffs again, and then we'll talk.
-
Cleveland Browns
With all that talent, there's at least some hype surrounding them for once.
-
Atlanta Falcons
-
San Francisco 49ers
-
Buffalo Bills
I just don't think they have enough of anything. They don't have a good enough QB or defense. And, even though I hate them, they're in the Patriots' division.
-
Los Angeles Rams
-
Carolina Panthers
-
Chicago Bears
-
Green Bay Packers
This was an interesting year, but right now, I'm not convinced they're a playoff team. Aaron Rodgers can't continually bail you guys out.
Come back when you make the playoffs again, then we'll talk Super Bowl chances.
-
Minnesota Vikings
-
New England Patriots
Shouldn't be here until someone in the AFC steps up and proves they're a better team. Until then, you can't deny this team.
-
Dallas Cowboys
-
Tennessee Titans
