Top Ten NFL Teams Most Likely to Win Super Bowl 53 (2019)

Granted, they have a capable defense to carry them, but with Pat Shurmur gone, I have high expectations that this team's offense will be a massive letdown. They may squeak by if lucky, but in the end, whether Case Keenum can be consistent enough to be the premier quarterback is still unanswered, since Teddy is still with the team.
They have the defense, but what about the quarterback?
We just drafted the two most valuable free agents on the market. How the heck are we 6th?

The Saints now look more like they were long ago. While that loss against Minnesota was very devastating, it fuels the fire to perhaps make them even better and improve in the secondary. The offense is going to be a massive powerhouse, and you know that when the best #9 in the game knows how to pick apart a team when given a chance.
Atlanta may have one last shot, but after that, they may dramatically change. Carolina is more give or take, but will they be back? Probably not if they don't address the wide receiver position.

Seattle and Arizona have fallen. San Fran and Los Angeles are on the horizon. Amazing how much can change in just two years. Ironically, the two teams that have been bad for quite a while have now managed to bounce back tremendously. While San Fran got the biggest trade steal last year, the Rams have the better roster. The more they enter the playoffs, the more they will start looking like the greatest show on turf again and again.
All I see and hear is about the Patriots without really giving the Rams a chance before the game is played. Not only that, in their first meeting in the last Super Bowl, the Patriots spied on the Rams' practice (Spygate), and that is how they knew the plays, which in turn resulted in the interceptions. I hope to see the Rams win, and I believe they are the better team. Everyone root! GO RAMS!

This team is a quarterback, and maybe even a younger tight end, away from becoming a Super Bowl champion. I mean seriously, they gave New England one hell of a game. If they had pulled that out, it would have been the most unpredictable final two teams nobody saw coming. If this team could pull off getting Cousins to Jacksonville... oh man, this team is my lock for the season to go all the way.
They got EVEN stronger. This is why I'm thinking of this team!
Bortles had a wrist problem all year. Blake COULD become a Super Bowl champion!

Tom Brady already earned his millions as a quarterback for the Pats. Does anyone remember him donating a single penny or so to poor countries? Anyone? The impoverished and the needy beg for food on the table. The sick and diseased need medical healthcare to heal. The homeless need better shelter. The parched, thirsty people need clean water. People are suffering! They need help!
Father Time is going to struggle this year, and this may be the last ride for Tom Brady. He has accomplished a lot in his career, but age will catch up to him. They'll make the playoffs, but with a Bills team making strides, New England's dynasty days are going to be no more. Losing both coordinators, this may be the beginning of the end of the GOAT era of the NFL.

Philly could be in the talks for a while, and it's very intriguing to say since they looked bad. Now here they are, drafting all really good pieces just to make it to the end is remarkable. Wentz is the future of this team, and even if he goes down, Nick Foles has stepped up as if it's the combination of Steve Young and Joe Montana.
Then you've got Zach Ertz, who has massively leaped bounds. An offensive line that was the best last year all around - even with Jason Peters down, they still persevered. A fantastic front seven defense led by coordinator Jim Schwartz. This team has the recipe for sure.
The Giants may take some time. The Cowboys are a passing game away from becoming a threat again. Washington is going into mediocrity. It's their division to lose, honestly. In other words, they should go by easily on preview.

I'm not sold all the way here, but Marvin Lewis finds the strangest ways to stay with the Cincinnati Bengals over the years. The last few times he has done that, he goes to the playoffs. Does that mean he wins? Probably not.
But what must you look forward to exactly? An improved defense by Teryl Austin, who at one time had a #1 defense with Detroit in 2014 when he first started. Don't sleep on this team. They ended the hopes of both the Lions and Ravens to win in the last two games. That is a positive note.

On paper, the roster is still very unimpressive, but if John Lynch can find all the right pieces to support Jimmy Garoppolo, you bet this team will be on the right track. Be careful, Rams. You might have a challenger right behind you.
Let's just see how Jimmy Garoppolo plays for an entire season. I don't think they are ready yet. I'd give them a few more years, and then they should be there.
San Francisco should be number 1. They're 8-0, and they're definitely going to the Super Bowl and winning it.

Starting off with one that might be a bit surprising, but hear me out on this. Stafford will be 30, and he has proven he can't do it all. This means if Bob Quinn does everything right - getting a good enough running back to keep pressure off of Stafford and help on the defensive front - this team could finally snap a playoff curse.
Then you also think, wait a minute, no Vikings or Packers? Well, Green Bay is coming off of a very bad season in which I have seen crazy things with that organization. I mean, they let go of Brett Favre eventually, and if the pattern repeats, Aaron Rodgers may be reaching his decline with a very mediocre Green Bay team that is not nearly as good as they had been long ago.
Minnesota will at least have a defense that helps them contend, but the thing is, it's unknown who the starter will be by the time the season starts. Case Keenum had a great surprise story, but I can't see it staying consistent enough for them to go far again.

You know we had three teams from the NFC South make the playoffs. Next time around, it will be the opposite: the AFC South will have three teams make the playoffs. Bill O'Brien just came off his first year not making the playoffs, and this year, with a much healthier team, the Texans are going to climb back up.
With the upstart Watson and the defense returning to form, the Texans look strong. While the Titans may take a slight step back, they may know their former defensive coordinator very well when they face him twice next season.

Chiefs? No, not after choking at home five straight times in the playoffs. Raiders? Are you kidding me? No, Jon Gruden is due to fail. Sorry, but this is in no way going to work.
This leaves L.A.'s B team, who I was very impressed with. They bounced back from a disastrous 0-4 stretch and almost made it into the playoffs. That's how sneaky good they were last year. If they're a lot healthier on the offensive line, this team has a chance to run the gauntlet. Rivers has been through it a ton. It's time to give him his deserved ring. This is the best time to do it. The roster is there and assembled.

I really have a strong feeling this team will regress in a bad way. Trading Kelvin Benjamin will haunt this team. Devin Funchess, to me, is not yet a proven #1 for Carolina. You need more depth at the receiver position. I just don't see this working out for Norv at all. Even worse, Wilks has a head coaching spot at Arizona. So yeah, this is going to be very bad on paper, looking at it from my view.
How exactly did the Bengals wind up ahead of these guys?
I think the Panthers will win because they might train them before the season.

The offensive coordinator has a lot to do in terms of not performing poorly, as trailing and embracing the suck method surely didn't help them last season. It's time for a new philosophy: just put up the necessary points. Strange how the defense was the strength of the team. That's how much Matty Ice took a major step back. Yet you can't only give Julio Jones three touchdown tries a season. That's just terrible coordinating, period.
Matt Ryan does significantly better in even years than in odd years.
Just a random observation. Weird things happen in football.

They're still a heavy favorite, but priority #1 for this team is: Can you bring back the Triple B's? If not, they will not be nearly as good as they once were. Imagine Bell going to a team like the Jets. That may not go well. Since Big Ben has a fascinating record against Jacksonville, that could be the kryptonite for this team moving forward.
We start slow, but we're back. The points we put up on the Panthers should prove we're the best team in the AFC. The Pats have problems this year. STEELERS NATION.

Bills Mafia, where you at now? You have made your first appearance in the playoffs since '99. That's something to look forward to next season. Now all you need to do is improve a few things, and you may get more opportunities now that the Brady and Belichick saga comes to an end. Shady gives you a ton of life, but I think Tyrod has given you your limit. This means you have to find a quarterback, whether through free agency or drafting one at a cheap cost.
Shady is aging, key losses on the O-line, no pass catchers to take pressure off inexperienced QBs. 3-13.

Alex Smith is gone after his best season. Now enter young Patrick Mahomes. What we can expect from him is unknown, but what I do say is Andy Reid may have reached the ceiling for this team moving forward. Therefore, get ready to be disappointed. This defense is not getting better. That must be an upgrade if Reid has any chance to stay with this team as the head coach.
The Chiefs had a better record than the Patriots. Patrick Mahomes is breaking records. The Chiefs hold the most touchdowns this season by twelve and have over 5,000 passing yards, doubling a decent season.

For one, Da Bears, must I repeat, must redeem themselves this draft. First, find that dynamic WR. Kevin White is damaged goods. You must try again. Kendall Wright is not quite the guy either. Wheaton is another Mike Wallace product. The only guy that may have a comeback, though, is Meredith.
Other than that, the offense has a running game, and that's pretty much it. Next, find more pieces on defense. It's half and half. In other words, it's not consistent enough to win games.
The Bears are the best. Where else can you find Khalil Mack, Akiem Hicks, and Kyle Fuller playing defense on the same team?

Again, if there was a shot of a very competitive AFC South, then 2018 would be that year for it to happen. The thing is, with Vrabel coming in as Head Coach, I'm not so sure this team will be a step up. Making the elite eight, at the very least, is quite a tough follow-up.
Derrick Henry has a bright spot, yet DeMarco Murray regressed pretty badly after having an unreal season the year prior. Mariota has very good pieces around him, which to me means he has a chance to take that next step in this new generation of quarterbacks coming in.
The defense has got to be my biggest concern. That must be fixed because I was not impressed by how they handled it with LeBeau, who had a major step down a year prior.

They have a chance to bounce back, but here's the problem: you're in a division in which Philly is most likely going to steamroll. If you have no wide receivers to work with again, then this season will end in failure once more, and Jason Garrett should be shoved out the door.
The problem for Dallas is Dak Prescott is in a division with three better quarterbacks: Alex Smith (WAS), Eli Manning (NYG), and Carson Wentz (PHI). Yes, I called Eli Manning better than Dak, but it's because he is. WR and TE are also issues for them, as Dez Bryant and Jason Witten are gone.

The gap is thinning for the Legion of Boom in the backfield. They're starting to get beat up to the point they may never get to the Super Bowl again. Seriously, Kam Chancellor keeps getting hurt, and Cliff Avril may be gone. While they do fairly well, I don't approve of the hiring decisions Pete Carroll has made. This doesn't look like forward progress at all.
I don't like the look of this team. The Legion of Boom is basically gone, and there are not a lot of weapons for Russell Wilson to work with.
They are 6-2 and are standing pretty well. I do hope they can make their way to the Super Bowl. I just don't want another Seahawk-Patriot game.

Not sure who the quarterback will be by the start of the season, but if it's Lynch, Siemian, or Osweiler again, then the coach should be fired, and/or the GM, because that's ridiculous. Like the Legion of Boom, the Broncos' Orange Crush 2.0 has slowly gotten worse after their glorious victory in SB 50. Look at this epic fall from grace. It's unreal and brutal for John Elway to climb back up.
Peyton Manning retired. Now they are trash.

I'm sorry, but learning from the past, Josh McDaniels trying a second stint at head coaching is nothing but a locker room disaster. The guy got caught cheating his first year, rightfully missed the playoffs, and the next year he did even worse, only winning four games. What makes you think this will work out with one of the weaker offenses at your disposal?
They are 8-6 and shut out the Dallas Cowboys. Why are they at 32 after winning six in a row? How can a team at 32 be in the hunt for the playoffs? Whoever made this list doesn't know football!

The Packers did well in the free agency, signing longtime veterans like Jimmy Graham, Muhammad Wilkerson, and Tramon Williams. The draft was also decent for us, getting good corners like Jaire Alexander and Josh Jackson. We finally solved our punting and long-snapping problem in the draft as well.
Aaron Rodgers is back and healthy. Opposing defenses may have a hard time stopping us, as we'll have Davante Adams, Jimmy Graham, and Randall Cobb running routes. I know, I'm sounding like a cocky Packer fan, but I guess I have a lot of pride for my team.
Our only problem is still our defense. It's a big unknown right now, and we'll only know for sure what it's like going into the 2018 NFL season.

The Ravens are really going to start falling from grace now. I mean, wow, their offense is so abysmal to the point where, where are the weapons? Flacco literally has nothing as he is being wasted at a very down point in his career, and it doesn't help John Harbaugh that he may be gone if one more failure occurs (again).

It's a shame since this team was just on the verge of looking like a studded roster, and then what crashes and burns? Head coaching. Bye Del Rio, you never had a chance. Hello Jon Gruden? Gruden signed a 10-year deal. This would be the type of move with Al Davis written all over it because I see this epically failing.
