Most Surprising NFL Teams of Week 13 (2019)
Ah yes it’s Thanksgiving Week in the NFL world. This week we were treated to Some Football on turkey day and then some more football on Sunday. It’s getting into critical times now with every game being more and more important
Arguably, the biggest statement made this week was by the Buffalo Bills. All season long, people have questioned if they were for real or not. They made a pretty big statement over Dallas in Jerryworld.
Josh Allen has shown strides of improvement. They're still a bit inconsistent, but overall they're looking better. Maybe they can make some noise in the playoffs if they keep that momentum going.

Dallas had their annual game on Thanksgiving Day, which has all but become a tradition. This year, they welcomed the Buffalo Bills to Jerryworld for what should have been a decent game. Instead, the Cowboys stumbled as Buffalo proved themselves.
Meanwhile, the Cowboys now have to face the music after their worst loss when Dak and Zeke both played. The Cowboys still haven't beaten a team over .500. Hey Jerry, at what point do you finally shove Jason Garrett out the door?
Apparently, Emperor Jones still defends Jason Garrett. Knowing this, the king of clapping should be safe as Dallas head coach for at least another five years. Good old Jerry Jones is not one to change his mind easily.

Houston made a big statement win over the Patriots. The offense was firing on all cylinders thanks to Deshaun Watson, and the defense kept the Pats offense contained and couldn't get anything going.
The Texans may have just further increased their grip on the AFC South division. They could be a tough out in January.

The Patriots once again had to play a tough opponent in Houston. The Texans dominated most of the game. Brady was harassed most of the game, and the offense couldn't do much of anything. Granted, they did make things more interesting, but still, this is what happens when you have to play a real team.
Here come the hot takes about how the Pats dynasty is over. These guys are winning the Super Bowl again, aren't they?

The Panthers' season has reached desperation mode, and they needed this one badly. Instead, they lost to the Redskins, one of the worst teams in the league. At this point, their season is all but finished.
Edit: So you guys finally got rid of Ron Rivera? Good. It seems like they saw the writing on the wall and did the right thing.

The Dolphins pulled a stunner against Philly. The Eagles had some confidence after Dallas imploded in Jerryworld on Thanksgiving Day. Unfortunately for them, Miami had other plans.
This is why you play the games, boys and girls. It turns out that Ryan Fitzpatrick still has some FitzMagic left in him. DaVante Parker also had a great game. Miami even pulled a touchdown out of a hat with a trick play. That's right, Miami actually scored on a kicker-to-kicker pass.

The Jets looked absolutely awful against a Cincy team that was all but dead in the water. It's almost like they switched roles. How do you not score a touchdown against the Bungles of all teams? I don't get it.
The Buttfumble continues to find more ways to Buttfumble.

Philly, you thought you had a gimme win, didn't you? Dallas had imploded at home, and you had a golden opportunity to get back in the race. Unfortunately, the Eagles beat themselves most of this game and squandered a perfect opportunity.
Now they're left on the outside looking in as their playoff hopes are on life support. Good thing you have Big Di... Oh right, you got rid of him. If you do miss out, this one will definitely sting.

In 2020, Washington after 87 years got rid of the Redskins trademark due to it being labeled racist to native culture. It was named the Washington Football Team until February... read more
The Redskins' season is all but over, but that doesn't stop them from playing spoiler to Carolina. The Redskins were able to go on the road to Carolina and hold on for a win. Derrius Guice also played a role in their victory.
Do you really want to know how bad the NFC East is? The Redskins are still somehow alive for the playoffs. Yes, there's a scenario where if Dallas loses out, Philly loses out but beats Dallas, and Washington wins out, they could win the division at 7-9. Extremely unlikely, I know, but the fact that they even have a shot in the first place is mind-blowing.
The Newcomers

Cincy is the only winless team in the league now, and at 0-11, the Bungles know 0-16 is a real possibility. It was at this point they decided that it couldn't hurt to win a game since everyone else in the tank bowl had already won. They even brought back Andy Dalton for this game, and he tore the Jets apart.
Now, sure, it's against the Jets, but hey, a win is a win.
