Top 10 Hell's Kitchen Contestants That Did Not Get a Black Jacket

The Top Ten

1 Anthony - Season 11

He was better than Zach, Susan, Mary and Cyndi.

Anthony without a doubt should be number 1. He was absolutely robbed of 5th place; much better than both Susan and ESPECIALLY Zach. Zach had MULTIPLE bad services, and Anthony had ONE MISTAKE ever, and he gets eliminated. It was pathetic.

Anthony was my favorite chef in all time Zach sucks how many times he got up for elimination

Anthony was without a doubt one of the best chefs in the 11th season. Zach, Susan and Mary were all pathetic. I think he had the best shot at winning Hell's Kitchen. It's pretty sad how one bad dinner service puts you below a lying, disrespectful chef with like three or four bad services.

2 Louross - Season 4

Why would he get eliminated over JEN.

Make love to the fish.

That moment Petrozza told Ramsay to send Louross home was one of the saddest moments for me. Jen should have gone home. - DaniMax7

Hey Guys you what funny Petrozza said he had Louross's back and yet he choose to eliminate him over Jen. He does get some karma after him making lose the season finale - princepretty

3 Randy - Season 14

He did deserve a black jacket but I don't think he is on Meghan's, Milly's, or T's level to win the competition.

How Josh Trovato got a black jacket in that season and Randy Bell didn't is beyond me. Simply having a lack of experience shouldn't override all of the errors that Josh made in that season. - RAWdonRamsay

Should won that season def

Best on da blue team in dat season

4 Natalie - Season 9

She was pretty much the female Vinny in season 9 where she was the one to beat in the beginning, and then she had an infamous downfall on episodes 7-11. It is a shame too, because she seems to be really likeable (more likeable than Elise).

She saved the blue team midway from collapsing like a deck of cards. She was the leader that the blue team of season 11 didn't have, and we saw what happened to them. - jimmy12lee

She was awesome, helpful, encouraging, everything that Elise isn't

A good chef and seemed like a nice lady, but apparently, sweet girls don't make great cooks. Clapping and wishing good luck to the eliminated chefs is just awesome, her only catty moment was her feud with Jonathon. She was the polar opposite of Elise. - RAWdonRamsay

5 Zach - Season 11

He might not be everyone's favorite, but he had good qualities too. He could cook, did quite well in challenges, left with class and had a good attitude in the finale. Unquestionably he had his bad moments, but I'd say he got eliminated at the right time.

Best performer up until the end? HA! His first service was a total fluke! He only got worse and worse as the season progressed. In episode 4, he wasted a bunch of salmon because he didn't cook it to order, and then he tried to cut corners and serve some of the salmon he already cooked, and then he lied when Chef Ramsay confronted him. In episode 10, he kept failing to serve enough portions of potatoes, and snapped at Chef Ramsay when confronted, and he acted childish after he was nominated that night. The next episode, he tried to sabotage Ray with cold sauce. In episode 15, he fell apart even more and even made excuses for his bad performance, and somehow didn't get eliminated. Then the next episode was the final nail in the coffin for Zach. He wasn't the best performer up until the end, he was only the best for the first service. His cooking and his attitude only worsened as the season progressed.

Eh, not really, from the second service on, he got worse and worse. - BlackAngel_ZombieBoy

Take him off this list right now!

6 Brian - Season 10

Robyn got his black jacket. Made me nearly rage quit the season.

Robyn the robber - She was kept on the show over an actually good chef (Brian) just because she's a dramatic loudmouth

By far one of the funniest contestants!

He took the piss out of Ramsay in the middle of a service, which may have been what pissed him off, but Brian was a good watch. And a good chef. It's just a shame that apparently Chef Ramsay was looking for passion over someone who could actually cook, hence his decision to get rid of Brian and save Robyn. - RAWdonRamsay

7 Vinny - Season 8

Vinny was my favourite right from the beginning. Was so sad to see him go.

He seems like a nice guy

He should have gotten the black jacket over Russel.

Should have gotten black jacket and eliminated Sabrina

8 Anton - Season 12

Male Marge Simpson voice. - OrbusXV

Very strong chef and his voice reminded me of Chef Scott

Take him off this list! Talent does not excuse or make up for high levels of arrogance!

9 Fernando - Season 13

He should have gotten a black jacket over Santos/Roe! He can cook better than those two chefs combined.

Really don't get why he was eliminated so early it made no sense

10 Hassan - Season 15

I'm still bitter about his elimination! He was easily better than half the field remaining, most notably Jackie, Dannie and Joe.

A service with a few mistakes, and he's eliminated?! - BlackAngel_ZombieBoy

One mediocre service and he gets the boot? His elimination along with Anthony's were the only ones that I thought were bull.

One of the biggest what moments of all hell's kitchen when he was eliminated one bad service and he was out when some get 3 even 4 chances...

The Contenders

11 Ben - Season 4

Why Ben? He could barely cook and his attitude was crap.

12 Koop - Season 16

He at least helped Ryan win when Wendy was struggling.

His elimination was unfair because Paulie did worse than him and was less consistent!

One of the only good blue team members that season. - BlackAngel_ZombieBoy

Was the most consistent on a dysfunctional team and had potential to be a leader, sadly he could have used it more though. Also love the hair and the tatoos. - ColinA

13 Chad - Season 15

Again, Chad was a strong chef, but Chef Ramsay is looking for an egomaniac who just displays passion and nothing but passion. - RAWdonRamsay

Ramsay kept going after him but I thought Chad was great, the most vocal out of all of them by far and he reminded me of Scott a lot

One of the only good guys of his season

Should finish further than Jackie or (especially) Frank

14 Jamie - Season 9

Another good chef eliminated because of "entertainment purposes".

Eliminated because she didn't do drama and add to T.V. ratings. - jimmy12lee

Jamie was a strong chef.

15 Sabrina - Season 6

I would have given her the black jacket instead of Suzanne

She is the worst female contestant at cooking meat by a light year

16 Brad - Season 3

Brad had more skill than Josh so I think he should be further up the list.

Way better than Josh the Best of the Best in the final

17 Patrick - Season 10

He has a ton of good leadership qualities but if he cooked better he would have a good chance of winning the competition

18 Sterling - Season 13

He should be number 1

This guy definitely deserved a black jacket. He was a good chef with a positive attitude always being 100!

French toast crepes Florentine how long

- Sterling

There's a reason he kept his jacket how Sade didn't get out early I don't know

19 Ji - Season 5

I feel it was absolutely magical that she got to keep her jacket. I felt she had a lot of potential early on. I wonder if her ankle healed it?

Ji was very strong but unfortunately, her injured ankle got in the way.

She showed some dedication.

Very sad. I bet she could beat Danny and win the competition. But the injury. Ji lives matter. - spodermanfan1000

20 Bret - Season 14

He came back as a veteran

Easily a black jacket if he hadn't busted his back.

Bret's attitude only appeared after challenge losses, but in dinner service he was easily one of the best.

He was the best chef of the men's team in season 14, if he didn't hurt his back, he would the winner if hell kitchen season 14. I hope he returns in season 17 or 18 and win hell kitchen. Doesn't what happened in the blue kitchen, he found a way to step up every service

21 Eddie - Season 15

He so shouldn't have been eliminated! Does Chef Ramsay seriously see Joe and Jackie as better chefs and/or leaders?

He's good all right

Frank and Chad was worse than Eddie on the service that he was eliminated. How come he was eliminated?!

22 Elizabeth - Season 9

She deserved it more than Elise

She was not very bright natlele deserved a black jacket more than elise and Elizabeth combined

Elizabeth didn't get a black jacket cause big lips and weird hair Elise had to get in the way. - spodermanfan1000

Should have been in the final 3

23 Alison - Season 14

Alison had ONE bad service. Josh had FOUR.

She's my Jamaican sister. I think she should have been black jacket instead of Josh as he had too many chances, plus she had more talent, passion, attitude and other qualities in a chef - EJLEE0602

If only she didn't mess up on that last service. Still can't believe she was eliminated over Josh, though.

I can't believe if she didn't ger a black jacket

24 Rachel - Season 2

Better than Virginia and Sara combined considering Ramsay gave up on her too early in my opinion - aceboogieog

She was one of the hardest working contestants in Hell's Kitchen. RIP :(

She had passion and she worked hard but still was crap. - spodermanfan1000

25 Devin - Season 16

Chef Ramsay clearly had a soft spot for Paulie. Devin could cook for sure, but passion always wins out over talent and experience on Hell's Kitchen. - RAWdonRamsay

He was way better than Paulie

Devin made a lot of stupid mistakes, Paulie isn't used to working on the line, as stated on a previous episode. That explains why Paulie got a black jacket since it was a challenge and not a black jacket service. It was nice to see him pull back for Heather in the finale. - ClashingWizardWill92

26 LA - Season 5

Why LA? Like someone said on the Best Hell's Kitchen Contestants list, she was a merely sub par performer throughout the season.

LA should have stayed for a bit longer...not worth of a black jacket but should have stayed a bit longer. - spodermanfan1000

I liked her attitude and her fight back but getting a black jacket I can't really imagine. - spodermanfan1000

27 Mary Ellen - Season 1

Why Mary Ellen? She was dull

28 Chris - Season 1

He was screwed out of a black jacket due to Michael's antics - Murphdog405

Chris was an executive chef. Jimmy was messy, useless and a horrible cook. Chris was also the best of the worst once and got rid of Dubbery Chris was a great cook who should have gotten a black jacket. But Michael turned his back on Chris to save Jimmy in the dinning room.

Why is he on here?

Chris should’ve stayed and got a black jacket. I don’t know why Michael’s nomination wasn’t overruled. Jimmy was the worst performer in the dining room and in the kitchen. Oh and Elsie also should’ve left over Chris since she did make mistakes that night whereas Chris made none whatsoever.

29 Louis - Season 8

I interject with this one. Just look at him in night four

Louis- 1 bad service and gets eliminated that early.
Sabrina, Boris, Melissa- More inconsistent and had like 3 bad services in a row. Boris or Sabrina deserved to get eliminated at that time.

30 Michael - Season 11

He was only eliminated because of being the worst performer of the night, there were worst contestants than him: nedra, susan and mary. He was consistent. - tadeo5678

31 Richard - Season 12
32 Louie - Season 6

Why Louie? He got kicked out during the FIRST SERVICE!

If you sell 5 gallons of SAUSAGE GRAVY OVER BISCITS I a week ment many people most likely would vommit and hand Louie's ass to him. Whoever put him on this list is mad and or high.

Are you high? - RAWdonRamsay

Who ever put this might make he posted it on the right site - princepretty

33 Nilka - Season 7

Her collapse on the 10th episode was sad.

Her exit was hilarious

34 Aaron - Season 16

Not one mistake in his final service and gets the boot? Absolute BS right there! He had potential to possibly get a black jacket over Paulie unless he showed more confidence.

35 Vanessa - Season 4

I interject with this one. She had a few good moments, but she had a lot of really bad moments.

Plus she was very emotional

36 Roshni - Season 10

I definitely agree she shouldve stayed longer

Maybe worth of a black jacket but there were way more talented people. Don't get me wrong, Roshni is an amazing competitor but there were better. - spodermanfan1000

Went to early

37 Andrew - Season 16

He was doing this for his family

Share your own opinion...

So what? He never owned uo to his mistakes at least Johnny owned uo to his mistakes,he cheated on his fiancee, never told Heather that he has a fiancee and he isn't the only one who wa doing this for his family...

38 Sarah - Season 14

Shouldn't be on here. While she's good in challenges, she's terrible in services.

She definitely had potential to be a black jacket in my mind.

One beautiful chick.

39 Amanda - Season 6

Why is she on here? She is an immature kid that can't cook to save her own ass and she tried get ramsay drunk for no reason. This gal clearly doesn't belong in Hell's Kitchen or this industry.

40 Mieka - Season 14

Why? she was hopeless. - ndog

41 Melissa - Season 3

She went hero to zero but she did drive her kitchen. - spodermanfan1000

42 Jim - Season 6
43 Ray - Season 11

I don't agree. Ray was a rather mediocre contestant.

44 Christine - Season 14

Eh... Not necessarily. She was rather inconsistent.

Shouldn't be on here. She's great in challenges, but horrible in services.

45 Steve - Season 13

Absolutely not! Steve was the biggest douchebag of season 13!

46 Melissa - Season 8

Why the hell is she on this list?! She's useless! She had little to no good moments whatsoever during her stay! Remember when she overcooked 23 filets and then wasted 7 pounds of scallops?

She is a terrible chef and was DEFINITELY the second worst competitor of the season (of course) next to Raj!

Melissa was a mediocre competitor, very few good moments and should NOT earn a black jacket. - spodermanfan1000

This better be a joke - princepretty

47 Briana - Season 10
48 Mike - Season 12

Seriously? This guy was the biggest douchebag in Season 12, and he's tried to escape from punishments

He was a total smartass to chef Ramsay the whole time. When he left, very predictably, he just shoved the jacket into chef Ramsay's hand with both hands to get out of handshaking him. Bigger than that, he had absolutely no talent. In short, what the Hell is he doing here? - RAWdonRamsay

49 Raj - Season 8

He was robbed - Murphdog405

Bugger off down to the bottom Raj you donky. If you can't cook salmon and you fire food too early you have no chance. Raj was an executive chef at the age of 49 and was the worst guy by a million miles.

Raj was amazing. Not only was he great at cooking, he was on his feet, helped everyone out and sought out his teammates' potential to be the best chef they could be. Shocking he got eliminated.

Culinary god

50 Sherkenna - Season 15

Sherkenna should not be on here. She sucked in challenges and gave up too easily in service.

She should've left first - princepretty
