Top 10 Best Years of 2010s

The Top Ten
1 2012 2012 (MMXII) was a leap year starting on Sunday of the Gregorian calendar, the 2012th year of the Common Era (CE) and Anno Domini (AD) designations, the 12th year of the 3rd millennium and the 21st century, and the 3rd year of the 2010s decade.

As of 2024, let me rank the years in the past decade best to worst. The 2010s was altogether a great decade and terrible depending on each of the 10 years.

1. 2012 (Best)
2. 2013
3. 2014
4. 2017
5. 2019
6. 2016
7. 2011
8. 2018
9. 2015
10. 2010 (Worst)

2012, 2013, 2017 were really good parts of the 2010s. 2019, 2011, & 2016 were okay. However, 2010, 2015, & 2018 were pretty dissapointing. 2012 was the best year of my life with 2006 on #2. 2023 was the worst.

This time i will tell you my opinions on these years, bot by ranking (my stupid iPhone made me spell wrong)

2010: Was improving in the first half, but the second half of the year was pretty horrible and I hated it.

2011: It was improving from 2010 though the first few months (January to March) was the same as 2010. Then it began improving when April came. It ended up for the best of 2012.

2012: Perfection! Nothing really had happened and it was an improvement of the past few years.

2013: Really good. But not good as 2012. January and February were harsh though.

2014: Good. But February, April, November, December were pretty rough. January, March, May, & the rest of the year were good.

2015: Lots of drama in the first few months. April and May came and it was better. But the summer was a torture for us just like the first few months. Fall and December came, it was a little better

2016: It was really dissapointing in late January to early March. When April and May came it was pretty good. However late-June, July, September, October, November were pretty harsh months. December was fine.

2017: January and February were dissapointing. March to September were pretty good. October and November were also pretty dissapointing but December was really good.

2018: January-March felt like the same as 2016. April came and I liked that month. June, early-July, mid-August, late-September, mid-November, late-December... more

2 2011 2011 (MMXI) was a common year starting on Saturday of the Gregorian calendar, the 2011th year of the Common Era (CE) and Anno Domini (AD) designations.

2011 was amazing for me for many reasons!

1. Osama bin Laden died (he was behind the 9/11 attacks in 2001).
2. I wasn't bullied. Everyone just accepted me as a normal, innocent person.
3. I had a lot of friends and had an excellent school year with nothing to be stressed about.
4. Music was amazing (or at least better than the music in the late 2010s).
5. All of my friends at school invited me to their special events, parties, etc. Nowadays in 2018/19, they just don't really care about me anymore.
6. Life was much simpler!

I love 2011 so much and will forever! Wish I could go back and revisit it again!

3 2018 2018 (MMXVIII) was a common year starting on Monday of the Gregorian calendar, the 2018th year of the Common Era (CE), the 9th year of the 2010s decade, the 18th year of the 21st century, and the 18th year of the 3rd millennium.

This year was just a full blessing to me. The holidays, vacation, the hottest summer, last year of school... I met a new girl at the beginning of summer, and she is just an angel sent by God Himself. So much good music dropped, and I was at a festival for the first time.

The 4 years before are nothing compared to this great year.

This year was the peak of late 2010s culture, and I have such great memories of it. Movies like Black Panther and Infinity War, and all of the great new memes that came out that year, will always hold a special place in my heart.

4 2015 2015 (MMXV) was a common year starting on Thursday of the Gregorian calendar, the 2015th year of the Common Era (CE) and Anno Domini (AD) designations, the 15th year of the 3rd millennium and the 21st century, and the 6th year of the 2010s decade.

2015 was so lit. Like, it was an amazing year for filmmakers (five films passed the 1 billion mark, three of them earning more than 1.5 billion at the box office). We also finally saw Jurassic World and Star Wars: The Force Awakens (my new favorite Star Wars now).

It was before the turmoil of the 2016 U.S. presidential election (Trump was a meme in 2015, no one cared about Hillary). This was the pinnacle of Vine, when we didn't worship our trends (although we might have overused them).

For me, this was an amazing year. My friends and I did the most amazing things during this year. It was before the huge letdown of 2016. I guess this would be the happiest year of my life.

5 2010 2010 was a common year starting on Friday of the Gregorian calendar, the 2010th year based on Anno Domini/Common Era designations. It is the 10th year of the 3rd millennium and the 21st century, and the 1st year of the 2010s decade.

Me and my family has loved all the years from 2002 to 2019. Except 2010. Spring and summer were good but the first few months and September and November were pretty bad. There video games were crap compared to the games in 2000, 2003, 2006, 2007, 2014, 2016, 2017 or 2019, Justin Bieber's song Baby came out. I was in middle school and it the first year harshly sucked because I was sometimes bullied. This was the first bad year for me and my family in my opinion, my younger sister was 7, she said she loved all her childhood years except this year.

This comment was written in 2024 though, looking back at the 2010s

My ranking for the 2010s years

1. 2012 (it was awesome!)
2. 2013
3. 2014
4. 2016
5. 2017
6. 2019
7. 2011
8. 2015
9. 2018
10. 2010 (least favorite year of the decade, 2010s decade didn't start off that well)

Now 2020 2022 and 2023 which is outside the 2010s were far worse for me and my family. They sucked. Everything! Hope things get better soon its 2024 and it is not looking good 🙏

6 2019 2019 (MMXIX) was a common year starting on Tuesday of the Gregorian calendar, the 2019th year of the Common Era (CE) and Anno Domini (AD) designations, the 19th year of the 3rd millennium and the 21st century, and the 10th and last year of the 2010s decade.

Last good year in history. No more will there be a good year for me and my family after this pandemic as a person looking back at this year from 2024. There will be no more good year, not even in the 2030s :(

From the looks of it, 2019 might be an interesting year. Hopefully, it will become one of the best of this decade.

Brought an end to the 2010s with a bang! This year was good, and I'll mark this year as the last great year before 2020.

7 2017 2017 (MMXVII) was a common year starting on Sunday of the Gregorian calendar, the 2017th year of the Common Era (CE) and Anno Domini (AD) designations, the 17th year of the 3rd millennium, the 17th year of the 21st century, and the 8th year of the 2010s decade.

Epic! The Nintendo Switch got released. Most of the movies were either excellent or decent (The Emoji Movie can go to hell). Even though Hurricane Maria struck Puerto Rico, the hurricane brought so many changes to my life!

I started doing good comics. I started to come back to DS gaming. I played with my friends lots of times. This is a year to remember.

Last year wasn't that bad at all. The first half was a bit mixed, but the second half was pretty great. I'd say I want it above 2015 and 2012, but it already is on the best years list, so...

8 2014 2014 (MMXIV) was a common year starting on Wednesday of the Gregorian calendar, the 2014th year of the Common Era (CE) and Anno Domini (AD) designations, the 14th year of the 3rd millennium and the 21st century, and the 5th year of the 2010s decade.

I can definitely understand why lots of people on this site didn't like this year. As for me, it wasn't too bad. Disadvantages first, my mother was way too strict with me that year. Everyone paid too much attention to my sister instead of me, and my schoolwork was really hard.

Other than that, I felt myself maturing quite a bit that year. I had fun reading/watching some stuff on the internet, and it was probably the best year for movies in the current decade. I mean it's not the best year ever (I don't have a favorite year), but it wasn't bad at all for me.

9 2016 2016 (MMXVI) was a leap year starting on Friday of the Gregorian calendar, the 2016th year of the Common Era (CE) and Anno Domini (AD) designations, the 16th year of the 3rd millennium, the 16th year of the 21st century, and the 7th year of the 2010s decade.

Probably the best year in my opinion. It's hilarious that people think it sucks just because their president of choice wasn't elected. Like, grow up and stop being a baby. Music was great, movies were great and felt like original masterpieces (unlike the repetitive Star Wars and Jurassic Park movies of 2015). It was our last year before all this woke media crap really gained popularity.

My favorite year, to be honest. Sure, it wasn't great politically, but the bright side is that there was some decent music being played on the radio. My third year in college, and I made a lot of friends too, which was cool.

10 2013 2013 (MMXIII) was a common year starting on Tuesday of the Gregorian calendar, the 2013th year of the Common Era (CE) and Anno Domini (AD) designations, the 13th year of the 3rd millennium and the 21st century, and the 4th year of the 2010s decade.

2013 was the best year ever. The Fridays that year were blissful, gleeful, elated, hyper, and euphoric. Me, my family, my friends, and everyone I knew had so much energy that year.

Every day of the week was great, and the year was great in general. But on Fridays, we all felt this energy in the air. It was like something we had never felt before. None of us said anything, but by the look on our faces and the way we were always so hyper and energetic, you could tell that something was happening. It wasn't just some regular happiness, too. It was something I can't explain and a type of feeling that felt so good that it can't be explained by mere words. But because of mainly this and a bunch of other cool and crazy things, 2013 wins the cake as the best year ever for me and everyone I was around during that time.
