Top 10 Best Years of 2010s

The Top Ten
2012 2012 saw significant advancements in science, with the discovery of the Higgs boson particle, providing key insights into the universe's fundamental structure. The year also marked a successful Curiosity rover landing on Mars, boosting interest in space exploration. Globally, progress was made on reducing poverty rates, showing a continued positive trend in development.

2012 was the peak of the good old simple days. Everyone was happier, cheerful, and just being their authentic selves. Music, movies, and society were pretty much thriving compared to, let's say, 2014 when things began to go downhill. But it was more subtly noticeable compared to 2016. That's when things got very ugly from then onwards, and it would be impossible to experience a better year than 2012 and backwards.

What I'm trying to illustrate here is that not only were music and movies amazing in 2012, it's not a matter of nostalgia if you notice years after go downhill due to social media and the rise of terrible music later on. The fact that 2012 had so many positives just goes to show that it was probably the best final year of the golden simple days. As we continue to hope that each new year will be better than the last (and that's something I will most certainly be hoping for despite a significant decrease in hope for humanity due to how many things have just completely flopped over the last 3-4 years), there will be nothing like 2012 ever, ever again.

2018 Medical advancements flourished in 2018, such as gene-editing technology CRISPR being used in pioneering treatments. It was also the year when global cooperation on climate change continued under the Paris Agreement, with countries reaffirming their commitment to combat global warming. Space exploration reached new heights, as NASA's InSight mission successfully landed on Mars.

This year was just a full blessing to me. The holidays, vacation, the hottest summer, last year of school... I met a new girl at the beginning of summer, and she is just an angel sent by God Himself. So much good music dropped, and I was at a festival for the first time.

The 4 years before are nothing compared to this great year.

This year was the peak of late 2010s culture, and I have such great memories of it. Movies like Black Panther and Infinity War, and all of the great new memes that came out that year, will always hold a special place in my heart.

2011 Major global strides were made in 2011, such as the Arab Spring which saw citizens in the Middle East and North Africa fighting for democratic reform. Significant progress was made in HIV research, leading to the possibility of new treatments. Meanwhile, Japan's resilience and recovery from the earthquake and tsunami displayed inspiring human solidarity and technological innovation in disaster relief.

2011 was amazing for me for many reasons!

1. Osama bin Laden died (he was behind the 9/11 attacks in 2001).
2. I wasn't bullied. Everyone just accepted me as a normal, innocent person.
3. I had a lot of friends and had an excellent school year with nothing to be stressed about.
4. Music was amazing (or at least better than the music in the late 2010s).
5. All of my friends at school invited me to their special events, parties, etc. Nowadays in 2018/19, they just don't really care about me anymore.
6. Life was much simpler!

I love 2011 so much and will forever! Wish I could go back and revisit it again!

2015 2015 was highlighted by the historic signing of the Paris Climate Agreement, where countries came together to take action on climate change. In the realm of medicine, new breakthroughs like immunotherapy offered hope in cancer treatment. Space exploration also made strides with NASA's New Horizons probe flying by Pluto, providing humanity's first detailed images of the dwarf planet.

2015 was so lit. Like, it was an amazing year for filmmakers (five films passed the 1 billion mark, three of them earning more than 1.5 billion at the box office). We also finally saw Jurassic World and Star Wars: The Force Awakens (my new favorite Star Wars now).

It was before the turmoil of the 2016 U.S. presidential election (Trump was a meme in 2015, no one cared about Hillary). This was the pinnacle of Vine, when we didn't worship our trends (although we might have overused them).

For me, this was an amazing year. My friends and I did the most amazing things during this year. It was before the huge letdown of 2016. I guess this would be the happiest year of my life.

2010 2010 saw humanitarian efforts in action as the international community responded to the devastating earthquake in Haiti with an outpouring of aid. That year also marked a significant milestone in wildlife conservation, with the number of endangered tigers increasing in several countries. Technological innovations flourished, with the release of the iPad, transforming the digital landscape.
2019 2019 was marked by considerable progress in environmental awareness, with millions participating in climate strikes worldwide, led by activists like Greta Thunberg. Technological advances included the first-ever photograph of a black hole, a major scientific breakthrough. In the realm of politics, women gained more representation globally, exemplified by a record number of women serving in the U.S. Congress.

From the looks of it, 2019 might be an interesting year. Hopefully, it will become one of the best of this decade.

Brought an end to the 2010s with a bang! This year was good, and I'll mark this year as the last great year before 2020.

I'm starting to miss all the years before 2020 now. I think I would vote for all of them on this list. 2019 was awesome.

2017 2017 was the year of monumental scientific breakthroughs, with the discovery of seven Earth-sized exoplanets in a nearby star system. It also saw the worldwide rise of the #MeToo movement, bringing attention to issues of gender inequality and sexual harassment. Furthermore, advancements in renewable energy continued, with solar and wind becoming increasingly cost-effective compared to traditional sources.

Epic! The Nintendo Switch got released. Most of the movies were either excellent or decent (The Emoji Movie can go to hell). Even though Hurricane Maria struck Puerto Rico, the hurricane brought so many changes to my life!

I started doing good comics. I started to come back to DS gaming. I played with my friends lots of times. This is a year to remember.

Last year wasn't that bad at all. The first half was a bit mixed, but the second half was pretty great. I'd say I want it above 2015 and 2012, but it already is on the best years list, so...

2016 The year 2016 marked the end of the Ebola epidemic in West Africa, celebrated as a major global health victory. In the tech world, artificial intelligence made rapid advances, particularly with the victory of DeepMind's AlphaGo over the human world champion in Go. Additionally, the U.S. saw a historic moment as the Paris Climate Agreement came into force, solidifying global commitment to fighting climate change.

Probably the best year in my opinion. It's hilarious that people think it sucks just because their president of choice wasn't elected. Like, grow up and stop being a baby. Music was great, movies were great and felt like original masterpieces (unlike the repetitive Star Wars and Jurassic Park movies of 2015). It was our last year before all this woke media crap really gained popularity.

My favorite year, to be honest. Sure, it wasn't great politically, but the bright side is that there was some decent music being played on the radio. My third year in college, and I made a lot of friends too, which was cool.

2014 2014 was a notable year for international diplomacy, as the U.S. and Cuba restored diplomatic relations after decades of tension. The world also witnessed impressive technological strides with the launch of the Rosetta spacecraft, which successfully landed on a comet. Additionally, significant health breakthroughs occurred with experimental treatments showing promise in controlling the spread of the Ebola virus.

I can definitely understand why lots of people on this site didn't like this year. As for me, it wasn't too bad. Disadvantages first, my mother was way too strict with me that year. Everyone paid too much attention to my sister instead of me, and my schoolwork was really hard.

Other than that, I felt myself maturing quite a bit that year. I had fun reading/watching some stuff on the internet, and it was probably the best year for movies in the current decade. I mean it's not the best year ever (I don't have a favorite year), but it wasn't bad at all for me.

2013 2013 was a banner year for LGBT rights, with several countries and U.S. states legalizing same-sex marriage, advancing equality. The world also marveled at scientific innovation, as 3D printing technology began revolutionizing industries from healthcare to manufacturing. Additionally, global poverty rates continued to fall, contributing to long-term positive trends in global development.

2013 was the best year ever. The Fridays that year were blissful, gleeful, elated, hyper, and euphoric. Me, my family, my friends, and everyone I knew had so much energy that year.

Every day of the week was great, and the year was great in general. But on Fridays, we all felt this energy in the air. It was like something we had never felt before. None of us said anything, but by the look on our faces and the way we were always so hyper and energetic, you could tell that something was happening. It wasn't just some regular happiness, too. It was something I can't explain and a type of feeling that felt so good that it can't be explained by mere words. But because of mainly this and a bunch of other cool and crazy things, 2013 wins the cake as the best year ever for me and everyone I was around during that time.
