Top 10 Most Interesting Years to Be Born In
Some birthdays come with front-row seats to cultural chaos, strange tech leaps, and the kind of shifting world that keeps life from ever feeling too predictable. You can grow up with one foot in an older rhythm and the other in a future that seems to rewrite itself every few years. That mix can make your age feel less like a number and more like a bizarre little passport.
The most interesting years to be born in are the ones that drop you into a life shaped by contrast, timing, and a few lucky oddities. You get a childhood, a coming-of-age story, and an adult perspective that can feel unusually stacked with stories.

1999
1999 was the final year of the 1990s. It came immediately before the Y2K changeover from 1999 to 2000. People born in 1999 were born under the Chinese zodiac sign of the Rabbit.
So I was born in 1999, with an older brother and sister born in 1998, a younger sister born in 2000, and a younger brother born in 2005. Thus, the 90s to 2010s were great decades. There's a song called Welcome To The Disco by Macross 82-99. I miss the 2010s, along with the 2000s too, while I hate the 2020s. The more I hear that song, the more I hate the 2020s decade. That song was released somewhere around 2008 to 2017, and I was 9 to a teen around that time. There was no pandemic, school was easier for me as a 1999-born, and I had a normal freshman and sophomore year at college from 2017 to 2019.
Me as a class of 2023 person, I'd rather go back to 2013 rather than 2023. Welcome To The Disco by Macross 82-99 is so nostalgic, and all the years from 2010 to 2019 deserve to be remembered by 2030. Take me back to 2004 to 2019, when everything wasn't impacted by COVID. Good actors and actresses, such as Jin Ji-hee, were born in this year. High school classes of 2016 and 2017 deserve to be praised. All years from 2004 to 2019 were good. Now, for me and my family, everything has been hell since 2020.
Remember those comments on 2020 in the worst years of the 21st century list, and Skibidi Toilet on why the 2010s are better than the 2020s? Yes, that was my older 1998-er brother who commented.

The best of everything. Black and white to color in all areas. Being there for the best music, being there through the most new technologies, and growing up in the 80s. Going from books to movies, from landline corded phones to smartphones and computers. Playing outside to living life inside at a computer. Experiencing the most advances and most memorable events in terms of great achievements and terrible tragedies of our times.
Being alive for the most important events, in my opinion, and hoping to live to at least 75 so as not to be here when life gets too hard and times get really tough. I wouldn't want to have been born at any other time. All just in my personal opinion.

Hi, I am a 1995-born person from Norway. My nephew was born in 2014, and he has been complaining all day that he wishes he was born in 1995. Also, he can't think before he acts, and he blames it on "his generation." Also, he says he hates his childhood because it was spent during a global pandemic. I was born in 1995, and I'm having a good life. COVID was avoided in my childhood, there was no social media, there were good TV shows everywhere, and there was good music. I'm pretty thankful I was born in 1995.
I just feel bad for my nephew because he was born in a time where everyone is using social media and people are losing the truth. I'm okay with being born in 2012, but not after. If I'm born in 2013, I would be the same way as my nephew. Thankfully, the year you're born in doesn't depend on what type your parents are. It's pretty awesome being born in 1995. Check it out!
