Unfortunately most people that use this word as a label or insult for the littlest of things don't even know what it actually means. Similar to the word "F***" pretty much.
It is annoying when you are referring to someone's race (like "That black kid wrote it") and then people call you racist. Also, if someone asks you if you like the colors white or black more, people will call you racist if you pick either one.
Whenever I'm done speaking, I'm like "Just please count how many times I said like in that sentence, like" but come on it's natural for humans to say like!
Tell me about it even if you are talking about what your favorite color is and I'm not talking about skin color people will call you this word and it's so damn overused to the point where it has no meaning at all.
The correct word for a person who is not heterosexual is HOMOSEXUAL. Gay is a girl's name. It also means "happy".

Oh my gosh, so ANNOYING. I can't have a conversation with anyone with out hearing the word like every other word! It's actually rly distracting.
And I get it. Saying like is a bad habit that's hard to break. I used to constantly say like too, but then I realized how annoying it was to me when other people talked like that. So I cut the habit for the most part. And I encourage the rest of the world to break this habit too!
