Most Overrated Cartoons

The Top Ten
1 My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic is an animated children's television series based on the fourth incarnation of Hasbro's My Little Pony franchise. The show follows a studious unicorn (later an alicorn) pony named Twilight Sparkle (Tara Strong) and her friends Applejack (Ashleigh Ball), Rarity (Tabitha St. Germain), Fluttershy (Andrea Libman), Rainbow Dash (Ball), Pinkie Pie (Libman), and dragon... read more

My god, people... stop judging a show by the occasionally sick/perverted fanbase (which is actually only a minority) and judge it by the show itself. I bet the majority of people complaining have never actually tried to watch the show. It's most certainly NOT only intended for little girls, for proof just look at all the references... there's a scene in one episode that parodies I Love Lucy, which the majority of young people today have never even heard of. There's a side character who parodies Indiana Jones and a villain/anti-hero who is essentially a cartoon version of Q from Star Trek (even with the same actor! ).

I have actually seen quite an abundance of animation errors in MLP, so let's skip over that. The morals are usually well-executed throughout the plotline of the episode. Sometimes, though, I wish the characters would show more, rather than tell us the lesson, if that makes sense. Aside from that, I agree that the fandom can be a bit... much. Honestly, I would just ignore those creepily extreme bronies and enjoy the aspects of the fandom that are safe and creative. The characters, I agree, are not always the most likeable (though Twilight will always be my favorite, no matter what). Still, don't allow an annoying fandom to turn you off from a good show or make you believe that it's overrated. I didn't let the god-awful Billdip shipping stop me from enjoying Sock Opera (Gravity Falls). In fact, I was pretty surprised to see MLP as #1 on this list- I was mainly expecting SpongeBob to be honest. Overall, I don't think this show is that overrated, or at least not anymore (though I have grown accustomed to seeing ponies scattered across the internet). Don't let the extreme fans stop you from enjoying good quality cartoons.

2 Adventure Time Adventure Time is an American animated television series created by Pendleton Ward for Cartoon Network. The series follows the adventures of a boy named Finn (voiced by Jeremy Shada) and his best friend and adoptive brother Jake (voiced by John DiMaggio)—a dog with the magical power to change shape and size at will. Finn and Jake live in the post-apocalyptic Land of Ooo. Throughout the show, they... read more

This show just fails on so many levels.

The humour is disgusting, stupid random and shows no sign of wit. I wouldn't mind it if it was just stupid, because I enjoy stupid humour. But due to the other flaws, the comedy in this show just doesn't work. I WILL admit however that Jake does have a few good lines.

The fantasy element I absolutely despise. It's imaginative, but there's no thought or originality put in there. Every place having a princess, the typical evil king that wants to capture them. The setting obviously had no work put into it. Dungeons and other things of the Fantasy sort.

Look, I give this show kudos for being successful at being random, which was its goal, but it's just not as good as everyone paints it out to be. It's not the funniest show ever, nor is it a masterpiece. It's just one of the bad cartoons that CN has taken to playing on their once great channel.

And don't say that it's just not aimed at people like me. This show should definitely be for me. It's Fantasy and Humour, my two favourite genres of anything. This should definitely appeal to me. But it doesn't because it's just not good.

3 Family Guy Family Guy is an American adult animated sitcom created by Seth MacFarlane for the Fox Broadcasting Company. The series centers on the Griffins, a family consisting of parents Peter (Fat, Idiotic Dad) and Lois (Nagging Bitchy Wife), their children Meg (Socially Awkward Daughter) Chris (Fat, Idiotic Son), and Stewie (Sociopathic and Genuine Infant); and lastly Brian (Anthromorphic Pet Dog). The show... read more

One of the most atrocious cartoons to be on television, yet it is somehow the most popular. People praise it for being "funny," but most of the humor is just stupid beyond comprehension. For example, a spitball in class being a horse that demolishes the room. Hilarious *sarcasm*. On top of that, the only remotely funny jokes or cutaways are stolen from famous movies. The rehash jokes from Airplane, The Naked Gun, Dazed and Confused, Wayne's World, and Many, MANY more! The show has horrible morals as well, and almost never has a good message to the audience. Like most shows, Family Guy also got much worse with age. Every characters antics were blown out of proportion and therefore less likable than they already were. The show attacks religion, which I am okay with; but it always does it in a cheap, distasteful, and unfunny level. Seth MacFarlane is just another persistent liberal getting his agenda across. Do yourself a favor: forget Family Guy and watch South Park, a show that is better in every possible way.

4 SpongeBob SquarePants SpongeBob SquarePants is an American animated television series created by marine biologist and animator the late Stephen Hillenburg for Nickelodeon. SpongeBob is currently the most popular show on Nickelodeon, as well as the longest running show, running for 23 years, and is beginning its 13th season. The show revolves around a sea sponge called SpongeBob SquarePants and his adventures under the... read more

So, what do I have against SpongeBob SquarePants?

Well, the seven main characters bear the seven deadly sins. (True theory)

SpongeBob - Lust (being friendly to anyone who doesn't care)
Patrick - Sloth (very lazy)
Gary - Gluttony (eats most of the time)
Squidward - Wrath (always angry to the world including SpongeBob)
Sandy - Pride (always proud about Texas)
Mr. Krabs - Greed (cares nothing for the world except money and also my most hated character
Plankton - Envy (always jealous about Mr. Krabs business. I feel a little bit bad for him. )

The Plot doesn't make any sense as well. Now my childhood's ruined because of THIS! Please get this show out of my face!

As much as I loved this show growing up, this is SEVERELY overrated. Especially knowing SpongeBob's current state, with its good-bad episode ratio being not-so-good due to Nickelodeon milking the show. It's getting hard for me to at least check out the newer episodes because of the overabundance of mediocre/uninteresting episodes and the worsening of every character (except Gary, Plankton, and maybe Karen). I downright disagree with everyone who said that Squidward didn't worsen because of episodes like Little Yellow Book.
However, it's simply a hyperbole for me to say that all/most of the post-movie/post-sequel episodes (the ones I've seen, at least) were "god-awful"; there had been some really good/memorable episodes, such as Krusty Towers, Squid Noir, Mimic Madness, Planet of the Jellyfish, and Gary in Love. However, some, if not most, had been overshadowed by the worst episodes, like One Coarse Meal and Ink Lemonade, which contributes to people's extremely heavy hatred towards post-movie SpongeBob (aka the majority of the show). I bet you that some people even refused to acknowledge the best episodes because of the worst ones. I mean, I get it, they're bad episodes, but at least attempt to find some gems instead of worshiping the first 3 seasons. Jesus.

5 Phineas and Ferb Phineas and Ferb is an American animated comedy-musical television series. Originally broadcast as a one-episode preview on August 17, 2007 and again previewed on September 28, 2007, the series officially premiered on February 1, 2008 and ended on June 12, 2015 on Disney Channel, and follows Phineas Flynn and his British stepbrother Ferb Fletcher on summer vacation.

This show is pretty much an overlay that tries to cover the rest of Disney Channel's unwatchable programming. And even then, it's still a very hard show to watch. I made a 2 page review on the show already on another blog, so here's a short summary.

The voice acting is annoying, the plot is monotonous, there are way too many songs, the characters are 1/2 dimensional, the designs are offputting, and it's EVERYWHERE!

It's the exact same thing every episode!
Boys have idea to build something.
Big sister tries to tell mom and dad
Perry goes and beats up weird guy.
Big sister fails and Perry comes back!
Also, the mother comes back with something she made like cookies or something.
Just a copy of Dexter's laboratory!

The plot line is always overused. The animation is ugly and the humor is so blind that it makes Its Pat get 1,000,000 awards! The characters are the worse part of this show. They are way to cliche and don't have any emotion EVER!

6 Steven Universe Steven Universe is an American animated television series created by Rebecca Sugar for Cartoon Network. The show's based around a young boy by the name of Steven Universe, who is a hybrid of a gem and a human. He lives with his gem friends, Garnet, Amethyst and Pearl.

Honestly, it's sad how people are simply turned off from a show based on its fandom. Those people should formulate their opinions and actually watch the show. Steven Universe should not be judged based on bullies who were fans of it. Yes, they did a terrible thing to that poor girl, but their behavior in no way whatsoever relates to the show itself nor the messages it sends out to the audience. In no way does Steven Universe encourage such awful behavior, but you have to understand that there are extremists that exist in every fandom that simply must be ignored. As for those of you who have seen Steven Universe and disliked it- let me make this clear: SU is a coming-of-age cartoon; as in, Steven CHANGES. He may seem like a silly little boy at first (who cares about his weight though? ) but in the recent episodes he is a totally lovable and mature character. If you can't handle the first few episodes (which are mainly experimental) then you don't really deserve to see Steven Universe at its best.

7 Pokemon Pokémon, abbreviated from the Japanese title of Pocket Monsters and currently advertised in English as Pokémon: The Series, is a Japanese anime television series, which has been adapted for the international television markets. It was first broadcast in Japan on April 1, 1997, in the United States on September 8, 1998.

Alright, I really, really, REALLY, love Pokemon. Both the games and the anime... but... it's just so OVERRATED! But, yet again, it's so hard to hate due to it's creativeness, cuteness, and awesomeness... but it's all my opinion. I'm just kind of sick of hearing it everywhere over and over again. And about the anime, I like the anime but not as much as the games. There's just WAY too many seasons based on the games, when I feel like they should've put them all together. Some of the characters are quite annoying (Bonnie from XY&Z was the most annoying.). However, Ash and his Pikachu had unforgettable moments that made everyone love the anime, even the villains Team Rocket (Jessie, James, Meowth and Wobbuffet) are very likeable. I haven't watched the comics/manga, but I've heard they're good. I can't say much about the games since there is so much to talk about it. Really, Pokemon isn't a bad game, show, or comic, it's just plain overrated.

8 Ed, Edd n Eddy Ed, Edd n Eddy is a Canadian-American animated comedy television series created by Danny Antonucci for Cartoon Network, and the sixth of the network's Cartoon Cartoons. The series revolves around three preteen boys: Ed, Edd "Double D," and Eddy—collectively known as "the Eds"—who live in a suburban cul-de-sac in the fictional town of Peach Creek. Under the unofficial leadership of Eddy, the trio... read more

This show was great but some vicious haters said that the show has character designs are ugly, disgusting animation, annoying characters, and some negative opinions.

Those who hate the show probably watched Brothers Grunt. What is Brothers Grunt?

It's a show that aired on MTV and it's one of Danny Antonucci's bad work before creating a masterpiece called Ed, Edd, and Eddy.

Brothers Grunt is really a horrendous, God-Know-It-All, disgusting, Chutulu-sized cartoon show that is really hard to watch. The character designs are so ugly, terrible animation, the characters are annoying, terrible writing, and so on. This Brothers Grunt does'nt deserved to be on air but I'm glad this beast was slayed by a sword (or cancelled for short).

Ed, Edd, and Eddy is one of the best cartoon shows of all time and the sixth CN show to be produced (and a last cartoon that is made with cel animation before that digital ink and paint existed). This show has great humor, great character designs, better stories, great animation, and others.

You may hate the show for creating Danny's bad previous work but you people should need some respect. And this list was for haters only. HATERS ONLY!

9 Gravity Falls Gravity Falls is an American animated television series produced by Disney Television Animation that first aired on Disney Channel, and then on Disney XD from June 15, 2012 to February 15, 2016. The series follows the adventures of Dipper Pines and his twin sister Mabel in the fictional town of Gravity Falls, Oregon, while on summer vacation.

Honestly, this show is overrated in the sense that it's only "good" as opposed to being "perfect" or "amazing". Any plot arc not involving Stanley, Stanford or Bill Cipher is predictable outside the super-creative concepts. And Mabel. Mabel Pines is not charming, funny or cute. She is obnoxious, annoying and clearly quite full of herself. She reminds of Papyrus from Undertale, except all the hammy charm has been replaced with the brand of tongue-in-cheek obnoxiousness that people thinks is cute for some reason.
It's the main reason I consider "Irrational Treasure" and "The Last Mabelcorn" to be the worst episodes of the series. They waste their time trying to shove Mabel's character down our throat, insisting that she is a good character. I honestly found it rather insulting.

Everyone loves this show a lot. But every episode can live up to the theme song.

Most episodes are standards with something supernatural forced in it. Dipper and Mabel could have given Stan advice for mayor. But oh wait, this is Gravity Falls, so have a tie mind-control him, or else it's not a real Gravity Falls episode. Now, everyone can be so happy about all the super interesting supernatural stuff in the show!

10 The Simpsons The Simpsons is an American animated sitcom created by Matt Groening that originally started on April 19, 1987 as shorts on The Tracey Ullman Show. It got its own series on December 17, 1989 and is still running as of 2023, making it the longest running animated sitcom. It is about a man named Homer Simpson and his family (wife Marge and children Bart, Lisa and Maggie and pets, Snowball II and Santa's... read more

This show was never even that great to begin with. Nearly no funny or memorable moments from any season, even in its "golden age" (1987-2005). Now it's low tier liberal propaganda garbage with too many guest stars and celebrities which is even worse. The plots are always predictable and dragged out. Everyone always says this show is the best cartoon ever made but it's not. Probably one of the worst. It needs to be at #1 on this list and this sad excuse for a show needs to die.

Lost its magic after Season 25 the jokes aren't funny and they are trying to make it a drama show with serious season premieres. I miss the days where Homer would sit down on the couch drinking Duff and watching a T.V. show like Itchy and Scratchy. What happened to Itchy and Scratchy?

I can say that it is one of the worst shows from Season 26 onwards. But the real Simpsons ended in Season 12.

The show was certainly good in its prime but compared to other shows like South Park, Family Guy or Beavis and Butthead, the show can be really tame & very mundane at times, I don't know why The Simpsons is ranked above classic Looney Tunes or any golden age cartoons since it stopped being good for 2 decades now.

The Contenders
11 The Loud House The Loud House is an American animated television series created by Chris Savino for Nickelodeon. The series revolves around the chaotic suburban everyday life of a boy named Lincoln Loud and his ten sisters, to which he survives as the middle child and only son in a large family of eleven children. Originally set to premier on January 2016, the series instead premiered on May 2, 2016, with the episodes... read more

Yeah! It is so bad! And here's 3 reasons why I hate it : 3. Boring characters : yeah the characters are so boring because all the characters are humans if not all characters were humans they won't be so boring but ALL the cha racters are humans! Oh come on! Did this shows creator wanted to create the world where only living organisms are humans? 2. Bad background art : yeah 3 words : bad. Background. Art. Worst background art one cartoon can have 1: boring plot : ok maybe plot of some episodes isn't boring but plot of the show itself is very boring its just about a boy with 10 sisters : sounds boring, right? (And sorry if my comment was too long because I'm going to end it right now)

How could this show have possibly overshadowed Harvey Beaks and post-sequel SpongeBob? It doesn't make any sense to me. In my opinion, the show is highly formulaic and the humor is very weak, compared to the 2 shows I mentioned. They say this show saved the network but how has Nickelodeon been saved when they are still:

- Cancelling their cartoons for not matching SpongeBob and this show in the ratings (just look at how they treated C.H. Greenblatt, creator of Harvey Beaks)

- Overrelying on their poorly-recieved sitcoms, SpongeBob, and The Loud House (and also Jojo Siwa now)

- Still trying to be hip with the kids (The Dude Perfect Show, for example) and more...

Yes, Nickelodeon has improved somewhat but not a whole lot has changed and if anything, my first point was actually made worse by The Loud House. Nickelodeon now believes that as long as they overpromote a show and give it a late afternoon premiere week, like they did with The Loud House, it will become an instant success. When it doesn't meet their ridiculous expectations, they move it to some other timeslot, barely promote it, then shove it to Nicktoons. Bunsen is a Beast premiered less than a year ago, but with the way Nick treats it, you'd barely know it even exists.

12 South Park South Park is an American adult animated sitcom created by Trey Parker and Matt Stone for the Comedy Central television network. The show is about four boys, who are Stan Marsh, Kyle Broflovski, Eric Cartman, and Kenny McCormick, and their adventures in South Park, Colorado.

How did south park make it on here. It's not overrated it's underrated. Just because some religious asses find this show racist or satanic doesn't mean it's overrated. Obviously the people who commented here have never watched an episode of this show.

Shows like South Park, Family Guy, and American Dad just prove that "adult" animations really have nothing to offer outside of constant sex jokes and cussing, which is actually just really childish when you really think about it.

It hasn't gotten worse to the same extent as Family Guy, SpongeBob or the Fairly OddParents, but it's definitely been getting worse.

The other difference is that its fans refuse to see any slip in quality. Seasons 1-10 are better.

13 Ben 10 Ben 10 is a media franchise created by Man of Action Studios and produced by Cartoon Network Studios. The franchise revolves around a boy named Ben Tennyson who acquires a watch-like alien device, the Omnitrix, which allows him to transform into ten different alien creatures.

I hate all the Ben 10 shows. This pointless series will wash children's brains. It's all about this selfish clumsy lazy cocky spoiled kid, Ben who found a magic watch that transforms him in different aliens that fight with other aliens. Then, he became a hero and everyone began to treat him like a god. Not fair! He was just lucky to find the watch. This doesn't make him a hero. Anyone else could find it and become a hero too.
There are many problems with the show : the jokes are corny, th voice acting is bad, all the characters are unlikable, there's no pleasant character anywhere, the art-style is too dark, etc.
This show needs to disappear.

This is a shallow, boring, action show. The plots have always been weak, and the characters unlikable. I have only known one person over the age of 10 who possibly liked this show, and I'm no longer friends with them - as they are extraordinarily immature. Do yourself a favor and steer clear of this show at all costs.

14 Naruto Shippuden Naruto: Shippuden is the ongoing sequel to the original Naruto anime and covers the Naruto manga from volume twenty-eight on. The TV adaptation of Naruto: Shippuden debuted in Japan on February 15, 2007 on TV Tokyo. It is developed by Studio Pierrot and directed by Hayato Date.

"The only part that really caught my eye was the Akatsuki. So many great villains that should have great backstories! But, then, Naruto Shippuden fell for the same thing from the first Naruto series: Naruto's backstory, Naruto chasing Sasuke, Naruto awakening the tailed beast, Naruto farting... I love the whole Akatsuki concept, and the author missed some great points by not giving more importance to them. Poor Itachi's story happened only when he was almost dying. Kakuzu and Hidan had to wait for Naruto to do that stupid training in the waterfalls (BOOORIIINGG! ). We could only find out about Kisame's past when he was about to commit suicide. Deidara, poor man, hasn't got any backstory. Sasori had some stories in fillers. And then fillers. More fillers. More and more fillers. Killer B's dreams. Tsunade reading Jiraiya's book. Chikara Arc, with stupid little crying brats and a tiny little Mary Sue that's worse than Hinata. Poor Akatsuki...

15 Rick and Morty Rick and Morty is an American adult animated science fiction sitcom created by Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon for Adult Swim.

I honestly did not get this show at first. I fell into the overrated crowd very fast. However, I was determined to stick it out for both seasons. By season 2 I found myself hooked. The random plots and scenarios started to seem rather genius and beyond my imaginative skills. Now I'm hooked and able to enjoy season 1 upon revisiting. My best suggestion is stick it out and it will pay dividends.

Adult humor, filled with constant belches, nonsensical humor that other shows have done better, all to the bland, dull, and trendy animation style that's mirrored in other shows like Adventure Time...a style that's beginning to overstay its welcome, this is a show I see no charm in. I don't see why others love it. I cannot see a lot of charm in it. At all.

Very lazy animation style that just does not appeal to me at all combined with a annoying whiney kid as the main character, a freaky old man who is a rejected copy cat cousin of Doc Brown. Need I say more?

16 Star vs. The Forces of Evil "Star vs. the Forces of Evil" is an American animated television comedy produced by Disney Television Animation for Disney XD. I like this show, but the fans set me off. So I was watching PhantomStrider's video on best American cartoons. SVTFOE was an honorable mention. And the butt-hurt fanbase of this show was complaining in the comments and saying that it was better than Looney Tunes and The Simpsons and South Park. And they said that it was a "revolutionary moment in cartoon history", and "a landmark of all cartoons". GOSH, I like the show but it's not THAT great.

For me, it was a toss-up between this and The Loud House. But at least I understand the praise for The Loud House. Star vs. The Forces of Evil on the other hand, dear god.

This is hands down THE most overrated Disney Channel cartoon of all time. And it is definitely the most overrated cartoon of both this decade and in my opinion of all time. Yes, MLP has been dethroned. Here is why I think this show is so overrated.

One reason why I think this show is overrated is because of the main character: Star Butterfly. First up, what kind of a name is that? A 3 year old could make a more creative name. My main issue with Star is that she is one of the most annoying cartoon characters I've ever seen. She is basically Mabel from Gravity Falls except without the redeeming qualities that make her likable. Speaking of Gravity Falls, why the heck is this below it. This show needs to be in the top 5 for sure. Anyway back to the point. Star is very unlikable. She is obnoxious, weird, defiant, and quite honestly a gigantic headache to sit through. Honestly I have no clue how Marco tolerates her. I swear, if I had to put up with her I think I'd go insane and move to Mars.

Another thing that bugs me is when people try to hype this show up as the best Disney Channel cartoon of all time (*cough* Gravity Falls *cough* Phineas and Ferb *cough*). Believe me, I have tried very hard to like this show. However every time I try to watch it, I have to stop after about 5 minutes because of the cringe. I honestly don't know how people can compare this to Gravity Falls. Oh yeah, and people say the theme song is catchy. I have to agree, it's catchy. For all of the wrong reasons! It's like one of those songs that gets stuck in your head like Rebecca Black's Friday or Jacob Satorious' Sweatshirt or even Justin Beiber's Baby to an extent. Ugh...

The third and biggest turnoff for me however is the shipping and romance. Good gosh. I'm telling you, the SVTFOE fandom is one of... more

17 Digimon “Digimon” is a term commonly used to describe a variety of Japanese anime series based on the Bandai virtual pet brand “Digimon” (Dejimon). As of 2017, there are 7 series: “Digimon Adventure” (1999), “Digimon 02” (a.k.a. “Digimon Adventure 02”) (2000), “Digimon Tamers” (2001), “Digimon Frontier” (2002), “Digimon Data Squad” (a.k.a. “Digimon Savers”) (2006), “Digimon... read more

Honestly, the Digimon anime/cartoon is better than the Pokemon anime/cartoon, at least from my opinion/point of view.

strange because I'm a pokemon fan and don't know anything about digimon, was forced to watch digimon cartoon/anime when I was younger because my siblings always hog the T.V.

Digimon is actually quite different from Pokemon... Just cause they have monsters that can fight doesn't mean it's a rip-off.

This show was already in the works when Pokemon came out, so they couldn't have "copied" it.

I'm starting to believe people saying it's a rip-off haven't even seen the show

Lamest anime I ever watch way back! These characters wearing helmets, gloves, and weird looking outfits are terrible and the monsters acts like a Winx Club pets with girly eyes! And why does every show ends with "mon"?

18 The Amazing World of Gumball The Amazing World of Gumball is a British-Australian-German-American-Irish children's animated television series created by Ben Bocquelet for Cartoon Network.

I don't know why you people say the animation si bad and it's lazy. I can tell that a lot of effort is put into this show and that the animation is the best I've ever seen. If you say this is bad, then try to think about the worse shows *cough cough Johnny test cough cough* this show is pure genius, please leave it alone, it's still new! Besides, at least it isn't as overrated as... ADVENTURE TIME and SpongeBob! And it is not overrated, but not underrated. It has just the right rating. A good show has to have haters and fans. If it doesn't, it's annoying.

Whoever said that Gumball is a rip-off of Katy Kat must be out of their mind! Sure look similar but personality-wise (which is what matters) they are extremely different! Gumball is more of a troublemaker but Katy Kat is loyal. My best guess to why they said that is that they're a troll trying to get people upset! Also the person who said that had really bad grammar! I am from Saudi Arabia and I know how to speak English better than that!

by the way: I am a Muslim!

19 Avatar: The Last Airbender Avatar: The Last Airbender is an American animated television series that aired for three seasons on Nickelodeon from 2005 to 2008. I'm sorry but I just can't get into this show, it's not terrible it's just, when I watch it I just lose interest and start doing something else. It's just kind of a lame show, it's not really unique, it's just like having superpowers. I just don't get why when people are praising this show they say it's such an original idea, cause it's really not, and I'm just not a fan of anime, I love regular cartoons though. I understand that people like it, but I just can't understand how it was Nick's highest rated show, cause they have had far better shows

Yes! I agree, it is 100 percent overrated! Everyone has it is a "Masterpiece" and the "Greatest show of all time", and if you say anything against it, the fans will say you are a horrible person." Azula is SO complex!" NOT REALLY. "Zuko's character arc is THE BEST! " NO, IT'S REALLY OVERRATED.
Aang's growth is AMAZING!" WHAT DO YOU MEAN! Honestly I have seen better. Plus, I am Vietnamese, and it gets on my nerves when they are blending ALL THESE ASIAN CULTURES! Like, lots of the show is heavily Chinese influenced, and I saw little Vietnamese and Korean things once in a while, but they are all blended into the Chinese cultural that they are considered "Chinese". It's teaching non-Asian viewers that Asian is only Chinese and Japanese! In one episode, everyone believes in fortune telling and stuff, and are like "Science sucks and doesn't exist". Asians believe in SCIENCE TOO!

20 Teen Titans Go! 'Teen Titans Go!' is an American animated television series produced by Cartoon Network. The show follows a superhero group called the Teen Titans, and shows what happens when they go home and have silly adventures. This show is Cartoon Network's revival of the popular 2003-2006 American animated television show, 'Teen Titans'.

This show completely and totally sucks, as it's over promoted and played, but the worst offense is the characters.
The Top Worst Characters-
1.Robin- A paranoid, bossy idiot. That's all there is to say.
2.Raven- The exact poser producing stereotype of a "goth girl" that so plagues the underground subcultures.
3.Starfire- While she's nice, many of the episodes show that she has almost completely absent to no moral values whatsoever.
4.Cyborg- His silly antics are very clever and well put, but when overused (and they are), they get annoying.
5.Beast Boy- The best Titan, but still annoying. His voice-actor put too much effort in to making him sound like an adolescent and the outcome was a high pitched, syrupy voice.

This show should have never been allowed to be created if possible, or should have been cancelled at the end of season 2.
First of all, a good portion of the audience is 5-11 year old children. Yet it completely fails to properly entertain children, nor displays somewhat morally correct lessons for adulthood? That is a sure sign that a cartoon is overrated. I've seen it back in 2016, and MAN! I could sense that it was pointless for everyone and overrated.
I mean who in the world would want to see people play cooties, promote gender preference, going insane over a yearbook, and many more stupid things should be dead by now, or at least be ended in 3 or less years. Once the show is cancelled, it should be replaced with undervalued or popular shows that is actually good like regular show, adventure time, or a show from 2004.

21 Regular Show Regular Show is an American animated television series created by J. G. Quintel for Cartoon Network that premiered on September 6, 2010. The series revolves around the lives of two friends, a blue jay named Mordecai and a raccoon named Rigby—both employed as groundskeepers at a local park.

Why is this show so like, along with Adventure Time, Steven Universe and Ed, Edd N Eddy. That thing known as "Regular Show" has a very bad influence on kids. What? Talking bird and raccoon who are technically best friends and co-workers of some talking gum-machine-like guy? This is absolutely! No maturity or logic, it's so stupid and disgusting, terrible animation, unlikable characters AND...the guy who created it up is some guy who's drunk while writing this. I'd rather watch paint dry than this, I'm basically losing faith in nowadays-cartoons.

What do I have against Regular Show?

Back in the days, J.G. Quintel used to make a short called 2 in the AM PM, which is a little bit explicit. But, as Cartoon Network becomes more awful and destroyed its good old name, they scrapped his ideas. Every episode doesn't make any sense. So unimaginative, lame, and every character, even Benson, is a total douche to Mordecai and Rigby. Seriously.

Wow this show is overrated but it isn't bad!? I mean season 5 and 6 were awkward and were not so good but I wouldn't really put it at the top 20 probably near the top 30 or 40.

Powerpuff is mediocre. Yet they're considered yo be the best thing since sugar spice and everything nice.

This show is So OVERRATED! Plus there's nostalgists who attack Chris Savino for making the bland seasons. They should shut up!

23 Sword Art Online Sword Art Online is a series of Japanese light novels written by Reki Kawahara and illustrated by abec. In 2012, it received an anime adaptation produced by A-1 Pictures and the SAO Project, and is directed by Tomohiko Ito . The first season is divided into two arcs known as "Aincrad" and "Fairy Dance". It has also received a second season, titled Sword Art Online II.

To the other idiot who commented, this is not even a cartoon. So, you shouldn't be surprised that it wasn't on the list yet, considering it is an ANIME. Who ever made this list is a total idiot.

This is an anime series! There is already a list for overrated anime series on this website. Anime belongs nowhere on this website!

Guys, Anime shows ARE cartoons. In fact, one the Japanese words for cartoon IS "Anime" ( it's short for "Animation"). The people who keep saying that animes are not cartoons honestly need to do their research.

24 Scooby Doo

Even though it is better than the modern cartoons, this show is not actually good. It has an interesting premise and character concepts but other than that it sucks. I am not attacking the classic cartoons. I love Looney Tunes and Tom and Jerry but this show is just meh. The writing is horrid. You can easily create a program to generate the scripts for this show. Other Hannah-Barbara cartoons were better. Cartoons such as the Flintstones, Johnny Quest, QuickDraw McGraw, and Tom and Jerry had better stories, characters that you can relate to, or better humor. This show insults a kids intelligence treating them like 4 year olds. This was also Hannah-Barbara's first step to being uncreative. They created a whole bunch of pointless Scoopy Doo rip offs such as Goober and the Ghost Chasers. Scrappy Doo did not ruin this show, this show was bland, repetitive, and bad from the start but he was a horrible character that made this show worse. Now it is a cash cow getting milked really badly. Every remake, movie, and spin-off are a disaster. The only reason why people watch it is for nostalgia. The humor did not have much wit. Scooby Doo and Shaggy are also useless and are little help to the Mystery Gang. The animation is cheap and terrible and so are the rest of Hannah-Barbara's cartoons.

25 Arthur

Why do people love this show? It's just a silly PBS cartoon. And PBS Kids sucks hard. Educational cartoons shouldn't even be a thing.

And as far as slice-of-life shows go; Recess, Doug and Hey Arnold are all FAR superior.

I saw an episode where Arthur wanted you to be him for a day. He kept staring at himself in the mirror in the beginning.

It's more underrated, if you ask me. Some people hate
It just for being a kids show.
