Top Ten Star Wars Prequel Trilogy Characters

These are the greatest characters from Star Wars' prequel trilogy.

The Top Ten
  1. Obi Wan Kenobi

Obi-Wan Kenobi is a fictional character in the Star Wars universe, portrayed by Sir Alec Guinness in the original trilogy and by Ewan McGregor in the prequel trilogy. The character is a Jedi Master who plays a pivotal role in the training of both Anakin and Luke Skywalker. Obi-Wan also appears in the... read more

He fought in more duels than any other character throughout the whole franchise. In the original trilogy, they may have not shown much of Obi-Wan's actions. But in the prequels, they showed Obi-Wan was such a skilled and fierce knight and he wins in almost all of the fights he's been. He is the reason why the prequels is so good. He fought and defeated Darth Maul, almost defeated Jango Fett (kicked his butt at least), survived his battles with Dooku, dueled and killed Grievous, and finally defeated Anakin Skywalker. I think he should be number one, and should even outrank Yoda cause we get to see him more in action and he wins at least in two or three of his many battles.

  2. Chancellor / Emperor Palpatine

Another overrated character in the prequel trilogy. In the first two films of the trilogy, Palpatine is boring for the most part. But people don't care for those movies as much as ROTS. People praise ROTS for having a dark tone, but Ian Macdiarmid's performance as Palpatine creates a serious tone problem. He's too campy and corny as the Emperor. In the original trilogy, Palpatine was treated as an intimidating presence. There is a discrepancy between the Palpatine shown in the prequel trilogy and the one in the original trilogy.

He should be first because in the end he won and took over the senate along with the galaxy and took "the Chosen One" as his apprentice. He played everyone and no one expected it. And don't forget he beat yoda in single combat, achieving dun moch.

  3. Yoda

Yoda is a fictional character in the Star Wars franchise created by George Lucas. He first appeared in the 1980 film The Empire Strikes Back and serves as a wise and powerful Jedi Master with deep knowledge of the Force. Yoda was originally performed by Frank Oz, who provided the character's voice and... read more

Yoda was almost ruined by the Prequel trilogy. Gone is the wise and spiritual Yoda of the original trilogy and we're given the dumbass of the prequel trilogy. He barely does anything useful in these films. Even the CGI is dated, I miss the puppet Yoda who didn't need a lightsaber to be a badass.

Yoda all the way, but he looked a bit weird in this movie prefer the original trilogy yoda to prequel yoda

Not so much my favorite. It should be Obi Wan THEN Yoda on my opinion.

  4. Anakin Skywalker

Anakin Skywalker is a fictional character in the Star Wars franchise created by George Lucas. He appears in the original trilogy as the main antagonist Darth Vader, serving the Galactic Empire, while his backstory and fall to the dark side are depicted in the prequel trilogy. Skywalker is portrayed by... read more

Such a complex character goes from "the chosen one" (I don't know which came first harry potter or star wars but one of them is copying the other) to dath vader the main villain but I love him coming back as an awesome force ghost at the end but... that leaves a question anakin was a teenager in force ghost why wasn't obi wan a teen? new star wars theory somone solve it I must know!

He should be number 1 the whole trilogy is based around him from when he was a boy to when he became vader he is very powerful but never gets credit for it he just wanted to save padme from death it's to bad palpatine sees the whole thing from day 1

  5. Darth Maul

Darth Maul is a fictional character in the Star Wars franchise. Trained as Darth Sidious's first apprentice, he serves as a Sith Lord and wields a distinctive double-bladed lightsaber. Darth Maul first appeared in Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace and later featured in Star Wars: The Clone Wars... read more

Everyone above him was an original trilogy character except Anakin, and Anakin is terrible. He should be 4 at least

He's the best in the prequels. Si thanks George Lucas for killing him after 10 minutes

If you've seen the Clone Wars, he becomes number one for anybody instantly.

  6. Mace Windu

Mace Windu is a fictional character in the Star Wars universe, portrayed by actor Samuel L. Jackson in the prequel films. He is a high-ranking Jedi Master and member of the Jedi High Council. Windu is known for his purple lightsaber and his role in leading Jedi missions during the Clone Wars.

Mace Windu was the Jedi Master who created Vappad. He was the second in command to Yoda. In a battle between Yoda and Mace, Mace would have an extreme edge. He also has the coolest lightsaber color out of any other Jedi.

It Would Have Been Hilarious If He Would Have Said The F Word To Palpatine Since Mace Windu Is Played By Samuel L Jackson

One of my all time favorite Star Wars characters

  7. Qui-Gon Jinn

Qui-Gon Jinn is a fictional character in the Star Wars saga portrayed by Liam Neeson. He is one of the main protagonists in the 1999 film Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace. Qui-Gon was a Jedi Master and mentor to Obi-Wan Kenobi.

He is great character that exemplifies what is means to be a jedi, plus he is the reason we have force ghosts in the original trilogy.

Such a calm and helpful character, felt so awful when he died

Qui Gon is my favorite character.

  8. General Grievous

General Grievous is a fictional character and antagonist in the Star Wars franchise. He served as the Supreme Commander of the Confederacy of Independent Systems' Droid Armies during the Clone Wars. Grievous is voiced by Matthew Wood and first appeared in Star Wars: Clone Wars (2003) before appearing... read more

Best design of the prequels and an overall cool character. He was a very good metaphor for anakin, subtle even. That's amazing for George Lucas anyway. His importance to the story was short lived, but he adds something to the sepertists and is still the most unique villain in all of the movies. No force, just four light Sabres and an iconic cough.

My favourite Star Wars character is Yoda, but in the prequels, Yoda was not Yoda, he bored me to sleep just watching him. My second favorite is Han Solo, Third Boba Fett and everyone hates baby boba fett so Grevious

  9. R2-D2

R2-D2, or Artoo-Detoo, is a fictional robot character in the Star Wars universe created by George Lucas. He appears in the original trilogy, the prequel trilogy, and the sequel trilogy. R2-D2 is known for his bravery, resourcefulness, and loyalty throughout the series.

I sometimes think that r2-d2 is the main character... I mean think about it: he has always been important in every episode and is still living... Take that anikan

If R2 wasn't in it PADME would have died in the fire (in 2 the clone wars) and LUKE and LEIA wouldn't have been born.

Solo's the first movie that R2-D2 or Threepio haven't appeared...

    OR did they?

  10. Count Dooku

Count Dooku of Serenno is a fictional character from the Star Wars franchise. He appears as a major antagonist in Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones and as a minor antagonist in Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith.... read more

I would have to say that besides Darth Vader, Dooku is beyond my favorite Star Wars villain. He defeated Obi Wan and Anakin and also managed to hold his own against Yoda all in episode 2. For a gent in his 70's, he moved around pretty quick. Plus, he has one of the coolest lightsaber hilts in all of Star Wars! He should at least be in the top ten.

Interesting character, great actor, awful execution and his death was a tremendous waste of Christopher Lee, by far this is the best Sith in the movie, since Darth Wader with his entire origin (I don't like sands is the tip of the iceberg), Maul dies too early and with Sidius I have no idea where to start

  11. The Newcomers
  12. ?

    Mon Monthma

  13. ?

    Hera Syndulla

Hera Syndulla is a fictional character in the Star Wars franchise, created by Dave Filoni, Simon Kinberg, and Carrie Beck. 16. Padmé Amidala

Padme is amazing she has no fear nor hate and she and anakin go so well together. Even though she didn't last very long in the saga I still think that she is one of the best! Thank you Natalie Portman for bringing Padme Amidala to life️.

Every time I see her I imagine myself licking her a$$ clean then feeling her breast while doing the hokey

She is one of of the Most important characters. Because she is the mother of luke and Leia.

  17. Jango Fett

Jango Fett is a fictional character in the Star Wars franchise, created by George Lucas. He made his debut in the 2002 film Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones, where he was portrayed by actor Temuera Morrison. Jango is the genetic template for the clone troopers and the father of Boba Fett... read more

Jango fett is my other favorite star wars character and iv'e been noticing that there has been video game about him called star wars bounty hunter that came out in 2002 but I never got to play it but I'm sure there will more video games about him and it would be so cool that he would have his own animated T.V. show called jango fett bounty hunter

Best character ever. Without him there would be no clone army, which means there would not be the Empire,WHICH means there would not be Darth Vader. Boba gets all the love that he doesn't deserve. Jango for the win!

  18. Darth Vader

Darth Vader is a Star Wars character who serves as the main antagonist of the original Star Wars trilogy and as the central figure in the Star Wars prequel trilogy, where he is known by his original name, Anakin Skywalker. Initially trained as a Jedi Knight, Anakin defects to the Sith under the influence... read more

Technically he's the same guy as Anakin because they are the same person so because of that technicality (even though Darth Vader is the best Star Wars character ever) get him off this list.

Darth vader never was killed he commited suicide just to see his son (Luke Skyywalker) in the 6th episode. But Yoda began to started to get weak in the 3rd episode which shows that Darth vader is the most powerfulist in the films.

Ummm... Why? He is a much better character in the original and had a bigger and better role.

  19. Darth Plagueis

Darth Plagueis is a fictional Sith Lord in the Star Wars universe. He was originally a Muun named Hego Demask and served as the apprentice to Darth Tenebrous. After killing his master, Plagueis trained a young Palpatine, who would later become Darth Sidious.... read more

He was only mentioned in Revenge of the Sith, but never appeared.

  20. Commander Cody

Best clone commander ever! He was Obi Wan's right hand man. Him and Rex were the best clones out of the Clone Wars series.

  21. Kit Fisto

Kit Fisto is a Jedi from the Star Wars universe. A Nautolan Jedi, Kit Fisto appeared in Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones, Episode III - Revenge of the Sith, and the animated series Star Wars: The Clone Wars, which originally ran from 2008 to 2014 and returned in 2020. He is known for his... read more

It says something about a character when they can win you over with grins.

A great charcter but not shown in the prequals that much if you want more of him go to the clone wars animated sereis there's a few episodes with him

    Fisto got fisted by Palpatine.

  22. Plo Koon

Plo Koon is a fictional Jedi Master who appeared in the Star Wars prequel trilogy and the animated television series Star Wars: The Clone Wars (2008-2014. 2020). He is a Kel Dor from the planet Dorin and serves on the Jedi High Council. Known for his wisdom and calm demeanor, Plo Koon is a respected... read more

Plo Koon was the Jedi master who could really kick some butt. He was the first Jedi to have a fist lightsaber. He also has 3 lightsaber colors: blue, yellow, and orange. Plo Koon would be defiantly be on my top ten favorite Jedi list.

Great Jedi. However, his character shone to its potential in the Clone Wars.

  23. Clone Troopers

They are the best, they made the best scene in all the prequels (order 66) and without them, palpatines empire wouldn't have existed

Their like droids, they die really fast and are really bad at shooting.

The best army in all of star wars

  24. Mas Amedda

    Palpatine's corrupted friend.

  25. Ki-Adi-Mundi

Ki-Adi-Mundi is a fictional Jedi Master in the Star Wars franchise who appeared in the prequel trilogy and Star Wars: The Clone Wars. He is a Cerean Jedi and a member of the Jedi High Council. He is known for his distinct tall head and his role in major Clone Wars battles.

Could whip anyone out there. He deflected some Order 66 shots.

  26. Watto

  27. Rune Haako

  28. Coleman Trebor

  29. Boba Fett

Boba Fett is a fictional character in the Star Wars franchise. He is a bounty hunter who appears in The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi, working for Darth Vader and Jabba the Hutt. Boba Fett also stars in his own series, The Book of Boba Fett, which premiered in 2021.

Boba in Attack of the Clones was cute but I don't think there talking about Clone Wars.

Yes he does, in episode 2 he appears as a child

What? Boba fett is not even in these movies
