1 Yoshi
Yoshi, once romanized as Yossy, is a fictional anthropomorphic dinosaur who appears in video games published by Nintendo. Often appearing as a sidekick and helper to Marion, Yoshi is most known for his appearances in the Yoshi's Island and the Super Mario franchises. It is Mario's adorable dino companion Yoshi. He is one of the most popular Mario characters of all time and is extremely iconic to the Super Mario franchise. I'm surprised he has not been revealed for the movie yet.
2 Bowser Jr
Bowser Jr., or sometimes simply Jr., is a video game character who appears in Nintendo's Mario franchise as the secondary antagonist. He is the youngest son of the series' primary antagonist, Bowser. Bowser Jr is Bowser's only child and is usually always besides his father helping him kidnap Princess Peach. Is this movie going to go down the Mario Odyssey route and going to leave Bowser Junior out? Please no, we want to see him on the big screen with his papa.
3 Iggy Koopa
This item counts for all the Koopalings because since they are 7 separate characters I was not allowed to put them as one spot. I unfortunately doubt the Koopalings are going to appear in the movie because Nintendo doesn't really care about them anymore since they have Bowser Jr but come on it would be cool to see them along with Bowser Jr. This could be the time to develop their personalities even more.
4 Wario
Wario is a character in Nintendo's Mario series who was originally designed as an antagonist to Mario. His motives are driven by greed and he will take the side of whoever will give him the most pay. Although he may seem like just a mean man with no heart, he does have a very tragic past. He is the greedy, pink nosed garlic loving rival of Mario. Wario can add so much laughter to this movie with his gross and goofy personality.
Maybe he can be voiced by Jim Carrey!
5 Rosalina
Rosalina, known as Rosetta in Japan, is a major character in the Mario Franchise created by Nintendo. She first appeared in the 2007 Mario Game, Super Mario Galaxy for the Nintendo Wii and later returned for the game's sequel in 2010. Since then, she has been featured in many main-series Mario Games ...read more. I really want to see Rosie in the Mario Movie but I would not be surprised if she does not appear at all. Hearing the revealed cast with characters like Foreman Spike and Cranky Kong seems like this movie is going to be focusing on the really old games like Donkey Kong, Super Mario Bros. and Wrecking Crew. I would be very disappointed if the movie did not include later characters like Rosalina, Toadette and Bowser Jr.
6 Toadette
Toadette is a character in the Mario series. She is a female Toad who first appeared in the Nintendo GameCube video game Mario Kart: Double Dash. Same with Rosalina, I really hope they include her and hope they don't only include Mario Characters that existed in the 1980's.
7 Waluigi
Waluigi is a lanky self-centered, brusque young lad as he is considered evil and the main rival of Luigi. Waluigi is shown causing local havoc in most games he appears in alongside his partner Wario. Waluigi is not instinctively evil or the antagonist (not counting DDR), as a matter of fact, he shows ...read more. I'm not really a fan of Waluigi because of his lack of a developed personality and backstory and just being spammed in only spinoffs like Princess Daisy. This can be the time that he and Daisy are finally included in the story.
8 Princess Daisy
Princess Daisy is a fictional character in the Mario series of video games, in which she is the princess of the fictional region of Sarasaland.
Daisy debuted in Super Mario Land in 1989, after few other appearances she disappeared for nine years until she was brought back in Mario Tennis (2000).
Daisy is known for being a tomboy especially compared to Princess Peach and Rosalina and unlike Peach, Daisy has only been kidnapped once.
Daisy is also known for being Peach's closest friend and Luigi's crush. Same with Waluigi, I don't like Daisy because she is only in spinoffs and is never involved in the story ever. Please finally show off Daisy as a "tomboy princess" because in the games she appears in, she does not seem like a tomboy at all.
9 Diddy Kong
Diddy Kong is a fictional character in the Donkey Kong series of video games, first appearing in the 1994 game Donkey Kong Country. Since Donkey Kong and Cranky Kong are confirmed to be appearing in the Mario Movie, why not Diddy Kong? They can even go crazy and add Funky and Dixie but I doubt it.
10 King Bob-omb
King Bob-omb became a recurring boss in later games, specifically spin off games such as Mario Party 9 and Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam.
The Contenders
11 Pauline
Pauline, also known as Daniella Verducci, is the original damsel-in-distress whom Mario must rescue from the eponymous ape in the original Donkey Kong. Since she debuted back in the original Donkey Kong game, I guarantee that she is going to be featured in this movie.
12 Goomba
Goombas, known in Japan as Kuribo, are a species of sentient mushrooms from Nintendo's Mario franchise.
13 King Boo
14 Wendy O. Koopa
Wendy O. Koopa is a female villain in the Super Mario Bros. franchise. She is the only female member of the Koopalings and is usually found assisting Bowser on his wicked plans with the rest of the Koopalings. She first appeared in Super Mario Bros. 3 in 1988 and since then has been a reappearing foe in the Super Mario Bros. and New Super Mario Bros. series. She has also appeared as a villain in the Paper Mario series and similar games. She is a playable character in the Mario Kart franchise and other spin-off series and can be played as an alternate skin to Bowser Jr. in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U/3DS and its sequel Ultimate for Switch.
15 Ludwig von Koopa
Ludwig Von Koopa is a villain in the Super Mario Franchise. He is the self-proclaimed leader of the Koopalings and has a pompous and arrogant personality. He is said to have all the powers of the other six Koopalings. He can clone himself, cause earthquakes, teleport, and shoot lightning bolts from ...read more.
16 Lemmy Koopa
The youngest of the seven original children of the Koopa King. Lemmy has always been fascinated by the circus and acrobatic acts and so he's made it his life's calling. Lemmy dreams of showing the world his incredible physical feats and never passes up a chance to gain a captive audience. Though he ...read more.
17 Larry Koopa
Larry Koopa is the youngest koopaling. He first appeared in Super Mario Bros 3, which came out in 1990. He is known for his blue mohawk hair. He was created by Nintendo.
18 Morton Koopa
19 Roy Koopa
Roy Koopa is one of the seven Koopalings. In the DIC cartoons Roy is called Bully Koopa. Roy has a tough guy demeanor, but wears pink which is most likely a reference to real men wear pink. Roy also wears hot pink sunglasses and from an angle it looks like he has no eyes.
20 Donkey Kong Jr.
He is a good character in Mario Kart number one and Mario Kart tour
21 Kamek
Kamek is a common enemy in the Mario Bros. Franchise. He usually appears in New Super Mario Bros. Games, Super Mario Bros. Games, or other similar games. He also appears in spinoff titles, like Mario Party, in which he is not a playable character but creates an obstacle for the players on their way ...read more. I really do hope he is in the new movie, I would love to see what the movie would do with him.
22 Koopa Troopa
Koopa Troopas, or just simply Koopas, known in Japan as Nokonoko, are a fictional race of turtle-like creatures from the Mario series, as well as its sister Yoshi series. They most often appear as common ground enemies.
23 Birdo
Birdo is a dinosaur that is well known for her (or his) confused Gender. It was originally stated that Birdo was a male who believed he was a female, but this was changed in later games. Birdo is commonly referred to as a girl, however, they are in a relationship with Yoshi. Birdo first appeared in ...read more.
24 Luigi
Luigi, originally a palette swap of Mario named Green Mario, is a major character featured in video games and related media released by Nintendo. Created by prominent game designer Shigeru Miyamoto, Luigi is portrayed as the slightly younger, taller fraternal twin brother of Nintendo's unofficial mascot Mario, and appears in many games throughout the Super Mario franchise, often as a sidekick to his brother.
