Top 10 Biggest Problems with the Nintendo Switch
I wouldn't have a problem with paying for the service if it actually provided value for the money. I don't like paying for an online service that offers an unreliable connection. And don't get me started on the voice chat via the mobile app or how not all games support cloud saves.
It shows Nintendo is becoming greedy.
The main controllers are even more expensive. Joy-Cons cost 90 bucks despite being faulty as heck.
Breath of the Wild technically shouldn't count as a port.
To fix that, get a screen protector. That's why they exist.
There are ways to remove Joy-Con drift from the controllers, such as using a straw to blow dust out of the control sticks. However, this method has its flaws because your spit can get into the controller. Additionally, the cartridges can sometimes cause issues. For example, my Breath of the Wild cartridge became faulty, so I tried using hand sanitizer and a paper towel on the connector pins. Surprisingly, it worked. So, why can't the Switch controllers also need cleaning to fix Joy-Con drift? Thankfully, the Skyward Sword HD Joy-Cons seem to have resolved the drift issue, so why can't all Joy-Cons be like that?
Why am I expected to pay $60 (600kr) for games like Super Mario Party, Mario Tennis Aces, or Yoshi's Crafted World when they don't even offer that much content?
"A bit pricey" is an understatement. I could buy two 3DS games for the price of one Switch game!
The Newcomers
Every game is either a bad remake, a sequel to an older game, or an older game with DLC added that gets a deluxe title. Nothing unique.
Out of the launch titles, only one of them is amazing. It should be fairly obvious which game I'm talking about here.
Hopefully, this will improve in a year's time or so.
There are numerous news reports, polls, and YouTube videos of people experiencing various technical problems with their Switch consoles. Even one of my friends got a faulty one.
The infamous Joy-Con drift affected my playthroughs of Super Mario Odyssey.
Hopefully, they'll manage to fix this issue.
I think they mean when you press a button, the Switch doesn't receive the command or "disconnects."
The left Joy-Con, to be specific.
It kinda sucked for me because I was really excited when I got a Wii U for Christmas, and then the Switch came out the following year. But that was just my experience.
I am planning to get a Switch soon. I hope they don't release another console just three years after its release.
I wish they hadn't rushed the Switch out to immediately replace the Wii U. I understand why they did, but I feel bad for the Wii U. I think the Switch should've been released in December 2017.
I think this means that it doesn't run games from older consoles like the Game Boy, GameCube, and N64.
Yeah, that kinda sucks. I'd rather have Mario Kart 9 than Mario Kart 8 all over again.
You can't stand your Switch up while charging - very big flaw.
I can't stand it up when charging.
Well, there is YouTube and Disney+. The weird thing is that one of Nintendo's staff, Reggie, guaranteed Netflix would be available on the Switch, but it never happened.
The Switch is dull. Other modern consoles have it. Why not the Switch?
So that's a good thing. Red and blue Joy-Cons are nice. I also have green and pink ones, and they are even nicer. Plus, I have four Pro controllers.
If you shake it around in someone's face, it could give someone a seizure!
At least ones not made by Nintendo.
