Top 10 Things that are Low Art but are Seen as High Art by Their Fanbases

PLEASE NOTE: This list is not the same thing as "Top 10 Fictional Works That Have The Most Overrated Amounts Of Artistic Merit/Value", since "overrated" is NOT a word that means the same thing as "bad"
The Top Ten
1 Fortnite

Honestly speaking fortnite isn't the worst game ever. I'm not saying it's the best game out there. Just a decent game that got overran by 9 year olds.

2 The Marvel Cinematic Universe

The cinematic games are quite boring and 1/2 of the boss fights are usually just some giant insectoid robot. Also they are kinda easy.

3 Pop Music

I hate ed sheeran music. it's so overrated. It's just the cliche teen/young adult with a guitar. his lyrics are dumb.

My mom plays it all the time. maybe it's because I just like something with more instruments or something. If you like ed, that's fine I won't harass you over it

4 Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt is a Japanese anime television series produced by Gainax, as well as a series of tie-in media developed around it. The series ran from October to December 2010 on BS Nittele.

While this show actually is QUITE good (although mostly as a result of it intentionally being hilariously bad and somehow completely succeeding at doing so), its fanbase is utterly-ludicrously obsessed with it and sometimes even takes its plot rather-impressively seriously despite said plot literally being about a pair of impossibly hot girls removing the clothing articles that their names are the names of from their bodies in gratuitously detailed and fetish-fueling ways in order to then utterly destroy their enemies by using "the power of sex" while the show that it belongs to is both even more vulgar and literally even more ugly than South Park and barely has any of South Park's hidden sophistication

5 Radiohead's Music Radiohead are an English rock band from Abingdon, Oxfordshire, formed in 1985. The band consists of Thom Yorke (lead vocals, guitar, piano, keyboards), Jonny Greenwood (lead guitar, keyboards, other instruments), Colin Greenwoood (bass guitar), Phil Selway (drums), and Ed O'Brien (guitar).
6 The Ren & Stimpy Show The Ren & Stimpy Show, often simply referred to as Ren & Stimpy, is an American animated television series created by John Kricfalusi for Nickelodeon.

Never heard of this show, I don't have much to give on this.

Ren & Stimpy being one of the first truly famous Gross-Out Shows absolutely does not excuse how pitifully shallow and completely overrated it is overall; it certainly does feature some pretty amazing moments (such as some of the mental breakdowns that Ren experiences during it), but if you want a show that actually is consistently good rather than just "having its moments", then you DEFINITELY should look elsewhere

7 Undertale

I feel bad for undertale, people who play it and the actually good and respectable fans of this game. It got invaded by crimminaly horrid fangirls and was oversaturated to hell on the internet. And I'm sick of hearing Megalovania! There are much better songs from undertale.

The Fangirls that have swarmed and terrorised this game have messed up the characters. They ship sans with his brother and make gross porn! They also ship them selves/ their ocs with sans and say cringy stuff like "Hi I'm *insert cringy name. And Sans is my gf/wife. And if you lay a finger on him... Ill... Burn you alive and kill your friends and family. Their ocs are horrible looking and they can't be taken seriously.*" If only they had a fandom that was at least mostly cleansed of its rabid fangirls.

8 Spongebob Squarepants SpongeBob SquarePants is an American animated television series created by marine biologist and animator the late Stephen Hillenburg for Nickelodeon. SpongeBob is currently the most popular show on Nickelodeon, as well as the longest running show, running for 23 years, and is beginning its 13th season. The show revolves around a sea sponge called SpongeBob SquarePants and his adventures under the... read more

I don't know, I think that this is enjoyed by more than its fandomaniacs. Casual people like this show too and is very popular on nick. I know a lot of people who aren't necessarily huge fanboys/fangirls of the show, but still enjoy it very much

9 Super Metroid

Crimmilarly underrated and ignored by Nintendo. Along with F-zero (racing game at 1000 mph) and Star fox (sci fi furry wars.) But I can see how the fans could be annoying sometimes. Plus, how many of them simp on zero suit samus?

10 Rocko's Modern Life Rocko's Modern Life is an American animated television series created by Joe Murray for Nickelodeon. The series centers on the surreal life of an anthropomorphic Australian-immigrant wallaby named Rocko as well as his friends: the gluttonous steer Heffer, the neurotic turtle Filburt, and Rocko's faithful dog Spunky.

I love this show too! I'm not the biggest fan of it nor have watched many episodes, but I know that I can enjoy this show when it airs on nick
