Top 10 Worst Female Disney Role ModelsThere are quite a lot of female Disney characters out there that can be bad influences. This doesn’t mean all of them are bad characters though.
The Top Ten Worst Female Disney Role Models
She got married and knocked up at the age of 15. what disney?
I don't hate her so much but she is not a good role model - Sugarcubecorner
I thought she would be number #1 before I clicked on it. - darthvadern
I like Ariel, but she's just too stubborn! - TheFourthWorld
Megara is also a jerk for betraying Hercules when he is always loving her.
Her face and her attitude is just unbearable! - Sugarcubecorner
She is such a (air horn)! She is my least favorite character in Hercules! And that says a lot! She pretty much does nothing but make smart aleck comments. She acts like she doesn’t care about anything. Susan Egan is a great actress, but this isn’t the kind of character people should imitate. I don’t think people would want to be around other people like this. I’ve actually met people like this and they get on my nerves. It’s not cool. It’s not funny. It’s just terrible. - MegaSoulhero
Only good thing I can say about her is that she has a nice butt. Also, she’s voiced by Katara. So that’s another thing worth noting. Tink has a lot of anger issues. She gets so jealous of Peter and Wendy that she actually tries to kill Wendy. Aren’t fairies supposed to be the nicest creatures alive? There have been numerous times when I have had a crush on a girl and I would often find out that the girl I have a crush on already has a boyfriend. But I don’t go out of my way to get rid of the boyfriend. I just try to get over it and move on. In some ways, Tink and I are kind of the same. She has anger issues and I have anger issues. At least I’ve been keeping my anger under control for the most part. As long as I don’t have to watch that awful Taylor Swift music video with her awful dance moves again, then I’m fine. - MegaSoulhero
Merida is so annoying to me. First of all, she never listened to her mother, she went to a witch, got a potion, poisoned her mother with that potion, and then her mother turned into a bear. She is just a moody teen that wants everything her way, and that is just not a good lesson for kids. You are not always going to have everything your way, and that is just how life works. She runs away from her problems too and she almost got her mother killed. I do like the fact though that she doesn't think that she needs a prince like every other Disney princess out there, and it makes me happy knowing that she can at least show kids that you don't always need a man or a woman to get through life. - PerfectlyPink1210
Almost killed her mom
Poisoned her mom
Is an extra moody teen
Makes dumb desicions
Made a bet with her brothers
Ran away from her problems
Over Lazy(there’s a difference from free spirit, and a couch potato)
Made a deal with a stranger
Tried to harm a wisp
Abandoned her family
Hates her family
AND EVERYONE LOVES HER
Not only does she have the worst name ever given to a Disney character, but she’s also a moody teenager. I can’t go as far as to say that she’s a bad character. I understand that she doesn’t want to be forced to marry someone she barely even knows. However, the lengths she goes through to try to stop this from happening are really uncalled for. I know she didn’t mean to turn her mother into a bear, but she shouldn’t have trusted some random witch. Hasn’t her mother ever taught her not to accept some magic food from a witch that carves wood for a living? - MegaSoulhero
Amy Poehler is the most annoying thing on the planet. It’s Joy’s job to make sure that Riley is happy. Which is good, but she doesn’t realize that sometimes people need to be sad to get through life. She pretty much tries to keep Sadness away at all times. There was even a moment in the movie when she decided to leave Sadness behind and not let her go back to headquarters. She managed to learn her lesson in the end, unlike Ariel, but still. She nearly tried to kill Sadness. Inside Out is still one of my favorite Pixar movies. Joy is just not a great character or a great role model. Especially since she’s voiced by Amy Poehler. - MegaSoulhero
This girl really gets on my nerve! - Sugarcubecorner
Someone keeps going to my worst things about Olaf’s Frozen Adventure list each day just to keep voting for Anna. As I’m being shown in the notifications section in my messages. I literally have no idea why. And I’m pretty sure it’s just one person who’s constantly doing it. So I mainly added Anna to this list to experiment. She is still not a very good role model though. She meets a handsome guy and then is immediately willing to marry him. Even though most people don’t get engaged until after a few months or more. And these two only met on that day, started dating that day, and got engaged that day. This doesn’t make Anna a bad character though considering she hasn’t left the castle in 10 years. So she got a little two excited. Plus, she learned her lesson at the end. Still, when someone asks you for your hand in marriage after only going out for such a short time, you shouldn’t immediately say yes. Just one day isn’t enough time to get to know each other. Also, ...more - MegaSoulhero
She is such a bad influence for kids. I remember loving this movie when it first came in theaters and I actually watched it in the theater. I thought it was a good movie, but I hate Else so much in this movie now that I think about it. I get that she ran away because she was scared, but you should really learn to face your problems head on and not run away from them, and that is not what she was teaching kids by running away. She almost killed her sister and put so many other people in danger because of her actions. I get that she was scared and felt she had to run away, but it really isn't a good lesson to learn from a Disney character. She is a bad role model, but in the end, I still think she learned from her mistakes, which is a good lesson to kids. - PerfectlyPink1210
Yeah sure. Run away from your problems. That’s definitely the smart thing to do. I wasn’t originally going to put Elsa on this list. I can understand why she ran away. She was scared and was afraid the people would attack her or something. I just needed one more character to add to this list. So I went with her. She should’ve just stayed in Arendelle and face her problems or at least try to fix what she caused. Running away doesn’t help anyone. But again, I can kind of understand why she did it. - MegaSoulhero
Bored? Destroy your home, forsake your friend, and join a violent gang.
First movie: bratty but at least still somewhat loveable
Second movie: straight up Tumblr radfem
She's even worse in the second movie, where she becomes a full-on manhating Tumblrina.
Mainly due to her behavior in "Ralph Breaks the Internet"
She is the worst!
She is horrible why does she need a man to save her?
Terrible she need a man to save her!
She excepts a apple from a stranger and needs a price to save her! Terrible she should be more like meg, kid the, esmeralda, etc
Fixed that earlier comment: I don't care if she's a lesbian! You don't convince little kids to join your violent edgelord gang! Especially not behind their friend's back.
Driving like a maniac and using assault weapons is cool. And anyone who thinks otherwise is just a stupid insecure manbaby. That's the message she sends.
I don't care if she's a lesbian! You don't convince little kids to join you violent edgelord game! Especially not behind their friend's back.
Yrs, blow up people who even look at your car. Yes, a life of crime is cool. </sarcasm>
Bored? Destroy your home, forsake your friend, and join a violent gang.
Selfishness is not cool.
Disney remakes suck. This movie for example ruins a perfectly good character. If you like this character, you probably haven’t seen the original movie. Ella is way too nice. She always sees the good in people no matter how mean they are. This is a nice trait, but sometimes you have to accept that not everyone is a good person. Just look at our current president. The original Cinderella was kind but still had a spine. Ella pretty much tells us that if you don’t do anything, something good will happen to you as shown when she gets locked in her room. Not only that, but she makes it seem like only looks matter. As if all women should care about is being pretty. The entire movie is sexist. I hate Ella. Terrible character. - MegaSoulhero
A perfect example of forced feminism. I can’t believe Disney/Marvel called her “the strongest avenger” even though we have stronger characters like Thor, Hulk, and Dr Strange. Her powers are lame and all she does is just blast things. She belongs with the ghostbusters reboot.
Disney, please stop with forced feminism. I mean, if Rey can become a Jedi without being trained, are you saying that it can happen to all female characters and male characters need training? I’m sure it’s a no. Rey is such a corrupted character so she deserves to turn into the Dark Side in episode 9.
