Australia is home to some of the best theme parks in the world, offering visitors a thrilling and unforgettable experience. From roller coasters to water slides, there is something for everyone at these attractions.
In this top ten list, let's explore the best theme parks in Australia, highlighting the unique features and experiences that each one offers.
-
Dreamworld
Dreamworld operates on the Gold Coast in Queensland and features themed zones that include thrill rides, wildlife exhibits, and family attractions. The park opened in 1981 and has expanded over time with additions such as Tiger Island and Dreamworld Corroboree. It also connects directly to the neighboring water park WhiteWater World.
I agree Dreamworld continues to add attractions and is just getting bigger and bigger.
Meanwhile, Movie World will shut down a good attraction such as the Looney Tunes River Ride, then wait 2 years before replacing it with Motor School. Closing a family attraction and replacing it with a tiny tots attraction makes me think they have lost the plot. Sure, add the mini Motor School for the kids, but don't go closing a good attraction for all ages.
If I could only visit one theme park and I'm not a big ride person, I would select Dreamworld. It's bigger, brighter, and has a larger choice for all ages.
Dreamworld is a lot better than Movie World. It's got rides for all the family. So does Movie World, but Dreamworld has a larger variety.
In the past 4 years, all that Movie World has done is Fright Night, White Christmas, and built the Green Lantern. Meanwhile, Dreamworld has done Shockwave, BuzzSaw, and Pandamonium. Soon, Dreamworld will be opening the ninth thrill ride, new food outlets, and the other world in one (WhiteWater World) will be opening a new water slide. So Dreamworld is making a lot better progress than Movie World.

I've been there before. It's great. There are thousands of rare exclusive things for sale there that you won't find anywhere else. There are mascots for kids to take photos with, a photo booth, roller coasters, and everything I want to see again, but my favourite part about it is the cola room.
One of the best theme parks I've ever been to. I've been to Disneyland, and I must say it was pretty amazing, but I enjoyed Movie World more than any other theme park.
I go to the Gold Coast every year and am here every year. I love it so much. Looney Tunes River Ride, Batman, Scooby Doo, Road Runner etc. Go to hell, Luna Park.
