Top 10 Best Phineas and Ferb Episodes

Summer vacation peaked back in 2007. Two stepbrothers waking up every day with a brand new plan to bend the laws of physics and common sense? Iconic. Whether they were building a rollercoaster in the backyard or launching themselves into space just for fun, Phineas and Ferb somehow made every single day of summer feel like the best one yet. And of course, poor Candace was always one step behind as she tried, and failed, to bust them.

But honestly, half the fun was watching the same formula play out in a totally different way every time. The A-plot was the boys' wild invention of the day, and the B-plot followed Perry the Platypus going full secret agent against Dr. Doofenshmirtz and his latest -inator. Every once in a while, the show hit you with a banger of a song that got stuck in your head for the next 12 hours.

The people behind this series didn't just throw jokes at the wall. They somehow made each episode feel fresh, even though the setup stayed the same.

Now, of course, not all episodes are created equal. Some had higher stakes, deeper storylines, or just funnier moments. A few even made you pause and think, "Wait… why am I getting emotional over a cartoon platypus?" Fans definitely have their favorites, and this list is here to settle the debate.

The Top Ten
  1. Phineas and Ferb: Summer Belongs to You!

Phineas, Ferb, and their friends attempt to travel around the world in one day to make the most of their summer. Meanwhile, Candace struggles with her feelings for Jeremy while trying to bust her brothers.

I liked Summer Belongs to You because you see the different personalities of the characters. You get to admire them more and realize their hidden talents. For example, Buford's French, Baljeet's weird family, Stacy's wide Japanese roots, and Isabella's singing.

Also, you get to admire the beauty of this show and their innocence. Not to mention the songs!

The best Phineas and Ferb episode of all time. It's just great, with all the songs and traveling around the world.

It is amazing how they travel across the globe, seeing the Taj Mahal and the Eiffel Tower.

  2. Act Your Age

Set ten years in the future, this episode follows the characters as they prepare to leave for college and reflect on their past relationships. It reveals the development of Phineas and Isabella's relationship.

To be honest, Last Day of Summer was a bit disappointing. It just didn't have the same emotional impact as many other great episodes. When that gets me down, I fall back on this episode. This is the chronological finale to the show (barring Quantum Boogaloo, the events of which might have been erased), and, as Swampy and Povenmire admit, the true emotional finale to the show.

Obviously, it was wonderful to see Phineas and Isabella finally get together, but it was also great to see where everyone else is in the future as well! It was a very satisfying way to end the show.

I am surprised this isn't number 1 on the list. If you haven't seen the episode, watch it and you'll know what I mean.

I hope this isn't the last episode though. I want to see more of this, especially Phineas and Isabella.

  3. Dude, We're Getting the Band Back Together

Phineas and Ferb reunite their dad's favorite band, Love Händel, to help their parents celebrate their wedding anniversary. The episode includes original musical performances by the band members.

I love this one! I love the music and the song "I Ain't Got Rhythm." It cracks me up when I see the bass guitarist sing about how awesome he is. Oh, how I love Phineas and Ferb...

It has the three best songs in the show all in one. It has a creative Doofenshmirtz vs. Perry. It has a unique plot. Ain't Got Rhythm is the best song in the show and got nominated for an award.

Don't know why, but I seriously think that the songs are amazing! "It ain't got rhythm." It's just so, so, so, so cool! Phineas and Ferb are amazing!

  4. Night of the Living Pharmacists

Dr. Doofenshmirtz's latest invention causes people to turn into clones of himself, resulting in a city-wide crisis. The characters must work together to stop the spread of the "pharmacist" condition.

This episode has everything that you want:

    The action

    The high stakes

    The PHINABELLA

    Doofenshmirtz was awesome

    The emotions were awesome

    The story was awesome

Just everything about this episode was awesome, and it deserves more love.

Usually, zombie-apocalypse shows/episodes/movies don't appeal to me. I think it's been overdone. But THIS episode was just so amazing, and my GOSH! Just overall clever! I mean, Stacy, for example: she didn't do anything to contribute, but she remained the last girl standing, totally oblivious to what was going on around her. It was hilarious!

If that doesn't intrigue you, then maybe the fact that the main cast: Phineas, Ferb, Isabella, Doofenshmirtz, Candace, and Vanessa, all work together in this episode! They meet each other again and interact with each other--and they don't forget who they are!

Yeah, Phineas and Isabella (spoiler alert) forget their confession (spoiler alert end), but other than that, they still know that Doofenshmirtz exists! Makes me wish they had an episode where Phineas and Ferb hung out with Dr. D for the day!

If you want to watch a perfect PnF episode, then THIS is your go-to. It was fantastic. Now, if you excuse me, I'm gonna go watch it again.

  5. Lawn Gnome Beach Party of Terror

Phineas and Ferb build a beach in their backyard after being denied access to the local pool. Candace attempts to expose them while Doofenshmirtz executes a plan involving lawn gnomes.

I love the gnome volcano and the flashback that the evil dude had!

One reason: Ferb in a hula skirt singing to reggae!

I love the whole beach they made!

  6. Where's Perry?

Perry the Platypus is captured by a mysterious villain, leaving his friends worried about his sudden disappearance. Phineas and Ferb begin investigating his whereabouts while Doofenshmirtz faces a new nemesis.

Both parts of this episode were utterly fantastic!

  7. Phineas and Ferb's Quantum Boogaloo

The boys travel twenty years into the future and cause changes to the timeline when Candace finally succeeds in busting them. Time-travel complications threaten the existence of their inventions.

I really love this episode. I love how they go back and forth in time. I also like future Candace. This episode is one of my favorites.

I love time travel, and this show is so awesome! I wish they would have it on TV all the time.

Only #13? I figured it would be higher.

  8. Phineas and Ferb Christmas Vacation

Phineas and Ferb create a giant thank-you card and a holiday-themed attraction to show appreciation for Santa. Doofenshmirtz unknowingly threatens Christmas by disrupting the Naughty-or-Nice system.

The last ten minutes made me cry, and not many movies can do that to me. Everyone gets what they wanted for Christmas. You'll be surprised what Buford asked for! Also, it's so sweet when Candace and Jeremy exchange presents. You HAVE to watch this one!

My favorite episode! Christmas is my favorite holiday! I used to watch this episode billions of times when I was nine.

Because Phineas and Ferb rock. Hey, have you seen Phineas and Ferb Brain Drain? I love Perry in this one. Perry is like the star of the show. He is like my best friend.

  9. Flop Starz

Phineas and Ferb become one-hit wonders after Candace unintentionally helps them perform their song Gitchee Gitchee Goo. Dr. Doofenshmirtz converts his building into a giant robot to terrorize the Tri-State Area. This episode marks the first time the boys complete a project without Candace successfully busting them.

    Gitchee gitchee goo. Enough said.

  10. S'Winter

Phineas and Ferb combine snow and summer to create a new season called S'Winter for everyone to enjoy. Meanwhile, Candace tries to gather proof of their creation.

In my opinion, Candace is the only reason why this is a great episode. Her cartoony slapstick and funniness made me fall in love with this episode.

The funniest quote from this episode: "As soon as he walks through the front door, no more Perry the Platypus!"

I love this episode! I love how they used fans and a SNOW CONE MACHINE to build a giant hill of snow! I also love how Dr. Doofenshmirtz's creations always take away their stuff before their mom gets home.

  11. The Newcomers
  12. ?

    The Baljeatles

Baljeet forms a rock band with Phineas and Ferb to pass his summer school music course. Dr. Doofenshmirtz builds a Babe-inator to turn the citizens of Danville into babies. The episode features the popular song Gimme a Grade performed by the newly formed band.

  13. ?

    Doofapus

Doofenshmirtz transforms into a platypus after accidentally zapping himself with one of his inventions. He struggles with his new instincts and behavior throughout the episode.

  14. The Contenders
  15. Phineas and Ferb: Star Wars

This special reimagines the characters within the Star Wars universe, with Phineas and Ferb living on Tatooine during the events of Episode IV. They cross paths with main Star Wars characters while uncovering a hidden Sith plot.

Definitely a favorite of mine, I loved every second of it, especially since I got every reference in it. I really love how Isabella asked Phineas, "Hey farm boy, we aren't related, are we?" and then kissed him after he said no.

If I had my way, this would be Number 1.

I really enjoyed how this one didn't conflict with the actual Star Wars movie, but more rounded it out in a behind-the-scenes way, with plenty of Star Wars humor.

  16. Roller Coaster

In the pilot episode, Phineas and Ferb build a massive roller coaster through the city. Candace tries to expose their activities to their mom, while Perry stops one of Doofenshmirtz's early schemes. The elaborate structure famously disappears right before their mother, Linda, gets a chance to see it.

This should be the trademark episode. The Roller Coaster isn't as creative as some episodes, but it is significantly better.

C'mon now, this was the most memorable and greatest Phineas and Ferb episode. Now it's getting worse, and I stopped watching it!

This was the best episode. It is the 1st episode of Phineas and Ferb. I enjoyed this episode.

  17. Rollercoaster: The Musical!

This musical episode revisits the events of the original pilot with an all-new collection of songs. It parodies the idea of Broadway adaptations and features exaggerated retellings of familiar scenes.

    Three episodes are perfect:

    This One

    Summer Belongs to You!

    Phineas and Ferb Christmas Vacation

But this one showed that Phineas and Ferb was a show within a show, everything I ever wanted! So now, they got to have behind the scenes, not with Vincent, Thomas, and Ashley, but with Phineas, Ferb, and Candace! (and everyone else!)

    Whatcha doing? Whatcha doing?

    What's today's activity?

    Whatcha doing? Whatcha doing?

By any chance, could it include me?

    Whatcha doing? Whatcha doing?

    I don't mean to disturb.

    Whatcha doing? Whatcha doing?

You know, it's not really directed at Ferb when I sa-ay-ay-ay-ay... Whatcha doing?

  18. I Scream, You Scream

Phineas and Ferb build a giant ice cream maker to create a massive sundae for Isabella. Dr. Doofenshmirtz attempts to build a Space Laser-inator to destroy a billboard blocking his view. This episode features the first appearance of Vanessa's mother, Charlene.

Aww, this episode is so "sweet" (pun intended). Phineas and Ferb want to do the Trojan War, but since Isabella can't do it, they cancel all of their plans, and then they do it in a later episode! This is one of my favorites!

This one was the funniest episode yet. The song was one of the most fun to sing and dance to, and seeing Vanessa trying to "bust" her dad was hilarious!

This was a funny episode. Inverting the characters' usual roles is risky, but this one paid off big time. It should be higher on the list.

  19. Traffic Cam Caper

Candace retrieves a traffic camera video she believes will finally bust her brothers. Dr. Doofenshmirtz has built a giant robot named Norm to destroy all platypuses. Perry the Platypus ultimately uses the robot to destroy the evidence Candace collected.

This is my second favorite episode, and it deserves to be on this list. It is a unique episode, has a closer look at the OWCA, funny jokes, a great song (And the Animals Go), and good old Norm!

This episode showed how much Candace really loves her brother and how much Perry loves his dad. It's also very funny.

  20. Father's Day

Phineas and Ferb restore an antique biplane for Lawrence as a special Father's Day gift. Dr. Doofenshmirtz attempts to earn his own father's affection by recovering a beloved lawn gnome. Perry the Platypus helps Doofenshmirtz in his quest after realizing the emotional stakes.

  21. Last Day of Summer

Candace uses Doofenshmirtz's time-travel device to relive the last day of summer, unintentionally causing a time loop. The characters work to break free from the endless cycle before the universe collapses.

Greatest finale ever and their greatest masterpiece other than Summer Belongs To You from a masterpiece cartoon. We will miss you, Phineas and Ferb!

Great idea focusing on the main characters seizing their final day of summer vacation. Nice, happy ending to both plots.

Act Your Age was a bittersweet ending, but I really liked this as a big epic finish! Can't believe how low on the list it is.

  22. Meapless in Seattle

This sequel to "The Chronicles of Meap" involves the characters helping Meap rescue his father from the villain Mitch. The episode expands on Meap's backstory and includes sci-fi elements.

  23. Phineas and Ferb Hawaiian Vacation

  24. Split Personality

Candace: Mom, Phineas and Ferb made me! Mom: Um, I got some stretch marks that would say otherwise. Candace: No, I mean they split me in half. Well, not like I'm cut in half, but they made another me. Hear for yourself. It's for you! Other Candace: Hi, Jeremy! Candace: Not Jeremy, it's Mom. Other Candace: Oh, hi, Mom. Here's Candace. Candace: See? Mom: That was a very nice imitation of yourself, Candace. Love ya, bye. Candace: No, wait! Hello? Grr.

One of my personal favourite episodes! Every time Candace squeals like a pig, it makes me laugh. Oh, and whoever is writing negative reviews of these episodes, please stop? If you don't like these episodes, then put them in the worst Phineas and Ferb episodes list rather than upsetting people who like these episodes.

  25. Wizard of Odd

  26. The Beak

Phineas and Ferb construct a super-suit to safely complete an extreme skate track, but they are mistaken for a superhero. Dr. Doofenshmirtz accidentally takes charge of the Tri-State Area while his brother Roger is out of town. The boys inadvertently stop the supervillain Khaka Peü Peü during their adventure.

One of the best superhero spoofs I have ever seen!

  27. Phineas and Ferb Get Busted

Candace finally succeeds in busting her brothers, who are sent to a reform school that changes their personalities. A twist reveals the events were part of a dream sequence.

  28. Swiss Family Phineas

It was hilarious when Ferb said, "Yep, had to be done," while giving a monkey a shower.

  29. Ferb Latin

Phineas and Ferb create a new language called Ferb Latin that quickly becomes a cultural phenomenon. Dr. Doofenshmirtz attempts to use a Propaganda-inator to convince the public that he is their leader. The language translates words by moving the first letter to the end and adding erb.

You take the first letter of every word, put it in the back, and then say "erb."
