Best Durarara!! Characters

Izaya Orihara...Now, I know every anime fan has seen at least ONE 'Arrogant Ass' that can piss everyone in the show off, and get loved by all the fans. But by god, Izaya is a 'Badass Arrogant Ass'! He plays around all the time when Shizou gets pissed off, and he can easily manipulate people, not only to believe him, but to completely change their view of life, which may result in changing their personalities. He can easily disguise himself and get away with it just fine (except maybe with a few haters), and he literally piss or scare people off 24/7. His sly and evil personality is just so lovable! I think they did a great job executing this character.
Oh, and also, the voice. It's just...It's just too perfect.
Izaya... The kind of character you hate so much you start loving him.
He is the proof that not all villains have an outstanding physical strenght. It is almost impossible to prevent his schemes, because he can find a way to prevent you from doing that or use your actions to enable his plans. He is so annoying but at the same time he has quite a lote of charisma. The only thing that really annoys me about him is that HE TALKS TOO MUCH. Like in other animes I have found characters with annoying personality traits but I have never came across such a talkative character. My favorite characters in Durarara are Masaomi and Rokujo but Izaya DEFINITELY deserves this #1 spot.
Now, prepare for the long character analysis (I tried to make it short. I really did, but his character just has SO much to expand on) of Izaya Orihara. Izaya is weirdly interesting and attractive as a character, and is that character that we love anyway though we seemingly shouldn't. He acts like a jerk (and he IS pretty much a jerk) but his actions, his schemes are really unpredictable and fascinating. He's manipulative and is strangely good at it. He's also funny, and TWISTED. He's a very complex character, he claims to love humanity but in actuality it'd be more accurate to say that he's obsessed with humanity considering how interesting their mindsets are. Their reactions and emotions are unpredictable and interesting to him. He's also especially interested in 'inhuman' humans like Shizuo or his twin sisters whom he claims he cannot understand truly like other normal humans. However, despite how manipulative he is, Izaya's manipulation actually causes benefits in the end. He kind ...more
Izaya all the way. His nature and personality is so strong end never changing, able to corrupt others through few and simple words. I literally thought he was a demon for a while. I love his straightforward way of thinking, never faltering in his love for humanity.

Ahh - the handsome and cool blonde wearing a bartender's suit, designer glasses, smoking some cigs: A total hot-headed guy throwing vending machines to his archenemy "I-zaa-yaa! ". Shizuo, the strongest man of Ikebukuro - has yet to show the niceness of his intentions. He hates VIOLENCE even though he has sweet cravings and that brotherly attitude. Those cute expression on his face when he's composed. His anger that's so hot to be managed that you can't handle at all. He's so cool yet so hot-headed! But everyone loves this guy, though. I love him!
It's always a blast when Shizuo enters the scene, especially when he gets pissed off like he always does so I dunno I feel I can relate to him to some degree since there was a time when the slightest thing could piss me off as well...glad I grew out of it, that's where the part where I can relate ends since no one on this entire planet could be as strong as he is.
Shizuo is awesome. He's bad ass; he defeated an army of zombie like people. I love his inner angst of deciding whether his is human or a monster because it makes me feel so mushy gushy inside.
I've only just started watching this show but this guy cracks me up and steals every scene... Mainly because of how in every scene he is launching a vending machine at Izaya.
Celty is a headless horseman who rides a motorcycle with no headlights. Need I say more?
I love her, she is amazing, if I could have her I would. I go Shinra for her every time I look at the screen
Out of all the amazing realistic characters in Durarara! I personally find Masaomi to be the most human and connectable of all of them. We've all tried to run from our past because we were scared, and we had no faith that we could overcome our guilt. Most try to cover up their past with the present, and so does Masaomi. The choices he make and the feelings he have are realistic to the point where realism can't catch up. Besides, his dorky awkward attempts to pick up girls is just hilarious, I laugh every time see them.
Masaomi is so sick, at first encounter of him he seems girl-obesssed, hilarious, and totally chill but the more you get to know this character the more you find out his complex life in the past which haunted him repeatedly. To be honest this character is definitely one if my favourites...and did anyone else notice how tough this guy is? Masaomi kind of reminds me of Tamaki from Ouran Highschool Host Club in a way as well.
Masaomi is just a lovable guy who learn to overcome his own insecurities to take up responsibilities.
His relation with Mikado is one of the best in this series, two best friends struggles between the wackiness of Ikebukuro to try to save each other.
Masaomi is such a cute dork, I honestly love his character.
Damn, Mikado is just the best! I love crazy characters and Mikado is one of the craziest! His thirst for the extraordinary and his hatred of the ordinary is just fantastic! I was almost sad that he decided to become an ordinary person by the end of it. Still, I'm hoping that he gets involved in SH even though he wasn't planning on it!
Honestly, Mikado should be higher up on the list. The timid friendly kid we see at the beginning of the story makes him likable but plain. But because of Mikado's goal of being extraordinary, it revealed his true personality. he's a complicated but a great character in the series. I was a bit disappointed that in the SH he turned out more boring then he was at the beginning of the DRRR! series though.
Mikado is such a good character, the thirst for extraordinary from being marveled by wonders of Ikebukuro make his arc such a natural one. When surrounded by the extraordinary, who will voluntarily stay normal.
Loved him the best when he reveled in his "crazy side" to finally participate in the city.
His character arc is one of the best in show and probably all anime. I liked him at the beginning, I loved him at the end. He becomes my favorite anime character of all time in last couple episodes of the series
"Shizuo! Are you finished with puberty? "
Simon's a friendly guy and adorable when ya think about it. He's a good fighter and he was hilarious in the special episode.
"Our sushi not made from human even at half price day."
This and many more quotes are the main reason why he's the best.
You by, it good
Everybody calls this guy a pervert, but he only makes perverted jokes-unlike some characters *Cough* Orihara Twins *Cough* He's also hilarious, and be honest here, you think the way he acts around Celty is sweet.
I mean who doesn't love him?
I love him he's so sweet
She's so cute and has a sad past. How could you not love her? (No spoilers if she actually isn't lovable)
My boy, my love, my hope
She's such an otaku, and I love her so much. I also like the fact she is also a shizaya shipper. How many time's do you see a character ship other characters?
She's cute and I love her interactions with Walker.
If she was real, and I knew her, we would totally be besties.
She is also a quality waifu.
I seriously love how she ships shizaya so much, whenever she starts to gush over their interactions, even though the other characters disagree though
That man has class! He looks scary and really is but he's also nice. Although he's a yakuza I think Akabayashi's a good person. He has his own code and takes care of the persons dear to him.
Let's have him closer to top 10!
So nice to the ladies, and a surprisingly strong and resilient fighter. He deserves more love!
She is just amazing l. She has her weaknesses and can be naive sometimes, but I think we need at least one character like that in the series.
Just for the burning van scene alone he's awesome.
He's a awesome character who uses a flamethrower fire exquisher.
I feel really bad for what happen in his past.
He has no emotion but he still cares about his brother and his smile is the same no matter what he would be the best at poker.Who would no like him!
She's such a bean
