Best Ouran High School Host Club Characters

Honestly, I don't know why I think this so much but Hikaru is so cute! His looks, personality, everything about him is just amazing! It's obvious that he has a lot of troubles and has dealt with a lot, but he is very loyal to kaoru and to his friends. He also really cares for Haruhi which I LOVE and it really builds to his character. It's a shame that in the end of season one AND in the manga that Haruhi picked Tamaki but whatever, it's fate from the beginning. If there is a season 2, I certainly want more of his own screen time without him and Kaoru always being together.

I have found myself acting like him mentally more times than I can count, he is a very relatable character. How he feels when Haruhi was talking to an old friend and he felt left out, even though it was his own doing I still felt bad for him.

Even if him and his brother are the same, Hikaru simply draws more attention to himself and makes me feel as though he really cares about Haruhi. He just is one of my favourite character with his mischievous and funny personality!

I thought that the Hitachiin twins were strange, but at the same time they were also unique and creative! One thing I really admired about them was their kind hearts toward each other and their friends. Hikaru was a funny, mischievous, carring character!

Ouran was my first romance anime and I loved tamaki. he's really hot and I like the episode where they went to the beach and tamaki hugged haruhi and it was so cute. and it's my number one ship. he's really caring and he's kind of stupid but good stupid. and I think its really funny when he's deppresd he goes into the corner with the dark aura and makes little puppy sounds!(also sorry for my bad grammer english isn't my first language)

After all he's been through, Tamaki still has the strength to smile and make others happy. He brought together the entire Host Club by himself, bringing light into every member's life. All of these characters were hurting before he came to help them, and his incredible healing heart succeeded.

I am always amazed and inspired by Tamaki's love for everyone around him and for his strength, especially after losing the rights to see his mother.

He comes off as arrogant and self-centered but he really is the most caring club member. Without him there would be no host club. He befriends all the members easily and teaches them to accept their differences. He genuinely cares about the girls he hosts for and sees the beauty in everyone. Overall, he's just a loveable dork, I absolutely love him

He's super hot and kind of dim witted but in an endearing way. He is really dramatic so that's rly fun to watch. His romance with Haruhi is everything. He tries to excuse his feelings for her as fatherly feelings, but we can all see through that. He is the glue of the club, he's the one who started it all. He has gone through a lot of pain in his life, but still has a smile on his face. He doesn't let his pain keep him from living the best life he can. I also think that it's rly cute how he's so fascinated with how "commoners" or normal people live. His interactions with Haruhi's dad were hilarious too because he was trying so hard to make a good impression and it kinda didn't work out lol even though they r similar in their behavior.

Haruhi at first seems like a fairly emotionless, apathetic person. However as the story goes on it reveals that she is in fact very hardworking and kind yet isn't afraid to be straightfoward and share her honest opinion - she doesn't sugarcoat anything she says. She's strong, and she can stand up for herself and occasionally others. Also, she's confident in her abilities and doesn't fret over her looks which (in my opinion) makes her a very unique anime character. She's one of the best anime protagonists that I've seen so far.

As a girl I want to be like Haruhi. She is hardworking, cute and kind. She can see what other people can't see. She can understand which twin is Kaoru which twin is Hikaru. I think that's very important. She is not an ordinary anime girl who just cares about her look and love stuff. I can't just describe her in one or two sentences. She is very special she is the best.

Haruhi is a great character who isn't afraid to share her opinion. She is honest and she is also hardworking. But my favorite thing about her is that she views people on what their personalities are like rather than how they look. I wish that their were more people like her.

Oh my. Where do I even begin with Haruhi. She is beautiful and augh. She has an AMAZING...everything.
So lesbihonest. I'm very lesbian with her. Not even kidding. She has earned her right spot at number 1! We all chose wisely for once.

I loved his episode and how he felt trapped but broke free of his bonds and became a better person, even if he still is a bit selfish. but aren't we all?

Kyoya is my favorite anime character. I simply love his genius and love how he's so Slytherin! I myself am Slytherin and appreciate how he captures the ambiance of characters such as this. If I could only use one word to describe him I would use genius.

Kyoya is pretty cool in my opinion. He may seem pretty cold but really he can be pretty nice to some people. Check out the episode Kyoya's Recluctant day out if you don't believe me.

The moment I saw this show he was the first one who caught my eye I love how he is just honest. And such a Slytherin to be honest. I literally love Kyoya he is awesome!

A hot and mischievous rich boi, but also sensitive and caring for the ones he loves and keeps close. He doesn't is selfless, but also understands its fine to love yourself too. Tbh I have a thing for troublesome redheads. His (and Hikaru) have a hard past knowing the only one he/they liked eventually betrayed them, it is difficult to get close to another apart from his twin. He may have been rude and selfish to others in middle school, but knowing he acted like that and changed into this wonderful new person which probably took a lot of guts and hard work. He knows to have fun, and when you get to know him he is probably one of my favorite anime characters out there. Even though he is afraid to lose Hikaru, something tells me that he will be fine and he will have someone else to take care of him. I love how caring and logical he is, at times. I see him as a good person to be, mostley, in how he knows his flaws and wants his brother to notice them too. and how he puts hikaru first in going after Haruhi, but he doesn't want to get in his brothers way so he lets Hikaru take the steps foward.

I first thought that Hikaru was my "favourite" twin just because he had more quality time with Haruhi and screen time. I then reliazed that he not only acts more mature. But that he also decided to priorties his relationship that he has with him brother and help him TRY to win the heart of Haruhi (manga). He does kiss Haruhi on the cheek, but before she can say anything he quickly admits that he has feelings for her but says that his realtionship with him brother is more important. In episode 15, he is shown to be better at handling anger/ jealousy. In episode 16, he pretends to be Hikaru and makes it as if he actually is asking for forgivness. He plans a date for his twin and Haruhi since he is worried that Haruhi won't have the chance to open to someone else. I wish they had more scenes with him, but overall he still is one charecter who I believe deserves more recognition.

It's really hard to choose the best character in this manga, since - hands down - there are no bad characters in this series!
I also don't wanna play the "whose the better twin" game here as you can't with two magnificent characters like the twins.

To be honest when I first read the manga I was head over heels for Kaoru.
Normally in manga one guy is the interesting, outgoing one and the other one is just a prop. But not in this case! Hatori Bisco really knew what she did when she created him.

He totally is his own person and I'd really like to have a boyfriend like him. He is so much fun to be around, but also knows when to buckle up and act mature and calm. His personality is also very realistic: when it comes to his brother he (funnily as the younger one) is eager to be protective and generous, but while talking to Honey and Kyouya you can clearly see that he has a childish and insecure side to him.

He's a tall, soft spoken guy.
Incredibly loyal and cute as well! I don't like Honey very much but Mori is the best character.
While I do enjoy my homo twin pair, the way Mori is always so quiet and stone faced is cute because you see his emotions all poured out into his actions, showing how caring he is :3

Takashi is the most loyal of the hosts. No matter what he will never leave Honey's side and will always take care of him. Even though he is a man of few words, he had a big heart!

He should be higher up on this list. He's hot, tall, and strong.

The strong, silent type... Mori is awesome. Enough said.
