Top 10 Fastest Naruto Characters
Speed is one of the most coveted abilities in the Naruto-verse. From instantaneous teleportation to bursts of lightning-like movement, a ninja's raw speed can make or break a fight. So, who are those blurs zipping through the world of Naruto? There are some obvious contenders, but plenty of others might surprise you. Help settle the score - which of these swift shinobi deserves the title of fastest in Naruto?
People often go with Minato, but the truth is he's not the fastest. When it comes to travel speed, Minato is the fastest because of his teleportation techniques. But when it comes to actual physical speed, Naruto is the fastest.
Throughout the series, Naruto shows incredible feats of speed - not reaction time, not teleportation, just plain physical speed. Minato can travel greater areas faster because he can teleport, and Sasuke has better reaction time because of his Sharingan, but in terms of physical speed, Naruto is the fastest.
Ok, so the Raikage is said to be as fast as lightning, which would be around Mach 2700 or so. Minato was able to react to that, dodging with teleportation (which isn't actual moving speed but reaction speed). Madara was able to blitz Minato, which means he moves a good deal faster than Minato can react to teleport away.
Even then, Madara could easily beat Sasuke and Naruto (who was at that point faster than Raikage, before his Kurama Mode or whatever one may call it) to the ground effortlessly.
After getting the power-up from Hagoromo, Sasuke was able to blitz Madara, who was moving in the same direction, barely able to react to Sasuke's speed with Kamui.
While Sasuke doesn't need a Bijuu power-up to have the same speed as Naruto before the Hagoromo buff, which makes him, in my opinion, the fastest character in Naruto.
Minato was able to warp away Ten Tail Madara's Truth Seeker Orbs right in front of his face while Gai was unleashing the Night Guy. This shows he is a lot faster than Eight Gates Gai.
Ten Tails Madara couldn't dodge the Night Guy as it was bending space-time, while Minato whizzed past Eight Gates Guy, removing the Truth Seeker Orbs in the process. This proves Minato is faster than both Six Paths Madara and Eight Gates Gai.
Minato Namikaze is second on the list. Why? Even though he has one of the fastest, probably the fastest teleportation jutsu ever created, Naruto, his son, is faster because of his Bijuu form.
In the first form, he was fast enough to dodge the Raikage, whose Lightning Armour is second only to the Yellow Flash. Then, he was compared to the Yellow Flash. Now, he has received another speed boost. Come on, people. He's second.
Guy is probably the fastest ninja in Naruto. His true speed was shown when he fought Madara. When he opened all the eight gates, I think his speed even surpassed Naruto's.
We have to remember that running is a physical activity, so in the end, specialized taijutsu users who have trained their bodies a lot more than usual ninjas will have an advantage. Sure, you can be fast by using abilities similar to Sasuke's, but in the long term, a taijutsu user can keep up with his speed and can probably be faster over short distances as well.
Obito at fourteen is much faster and stronger than his lame sensei who resorted to FTG every time he gets caught. He knows he can never beat Obito in taijutsu. He will only meet with air as Obito's intangibility is automatic.
Though Minato's ruse worked temporarily, it was Obito however who brought home the beacon for indirectly killing Minato and his wife. (Good for him! He's a useless sensei, and his nonchalance had cost him his wife's life, the blood of his two students, and his term as Hokage. Really stupid sensei. Good thing Minato died early.)
He is faster than everyone on this list, though arguably not faster than Minato because of Minato's level of mastery with the Flying Rajin. That said, he was able to react to both Minato and Tobirama, and it really depends on which type of speed you count.
But, if you consider speed in terms of combat, I think he easily takes this one home.
Even though the Fourth Hokage is thought to be the fastest, once Madara obtains the Ten Tails, he becomes faster than anyone before. He has power that rivals the Sage of Six Paths. (Naruto chapter 668)
Lee is Guy's student, and in the current era of the shinobi world, Naruto is an adult, making Lee an adult as well.
Don't forget that Lee often out-trains Guy after the time-skip to Shippuden, already making himself stronger and faster than his sensei. Pre-Shippuden, he dropped his ankle weights in the Chūnin exams, and they created an explosion of rock about 15 feet tall when he was fighting Gaara. (I'm saying 15 feet tall because the explosion was about three times taller than Lee, but only reached up to his head because he was standing on a rock about ten feet high.)
If Lee's leg weights weigh that much and he can move at supersonic speed without them, what would happen if he dropped his leg weights and went Eight Gates? He would only lose to Naruto in Six Paths Sage Mode by a few feet if they raced.
I also think that a lot of the people saying Sasuke is the fastest have quite biased beliefs due to not being able to articulate themselves.
His speed is highly underrated, but he has the most agility on this list besides Minato and Naruto!
Hashirama has more durability and agility than speed.
First Hokage, and had all tailed beasts under his control. Come on!
Shisui became famous for his mastery of the Body Flicker, which allowed him to move at supersonic speeds, faster than the eye can see.
Fastest Body Flicker ever. I think that counts for something.
Maybe he's not the fastest runner on the list by a long shot, but he can out-shunshin a runner any day!
The Body Flicker Technique is considered one of the fastest. He should be higher up on the list.
The Newcomers
He was able to dodge most of Sasuke's attacks, and he even dodged Gaara's sand. He also easily escaped from the explosives that Sasuke had thrown at him.
Deidara almost always escapes and gets away with his acts. He nearly got blown up, and Tobi/Obito thought he had died, but Deidara came out unharmed.
Deidara is fast and capable of escaping danger. He bombed places with ease, and he almost always got away with it.
Have you seen the speed with which he stirs that ramen? The large, burnt hands that make ramen great? He is so fast, I can't even keep up!
I bet he would've been the Fourth Hokage, but he concentrated on making ramen fast. What a god.
Yes, he is the fastest. I mean, have you ever seen someone make ramen like that?
Top 5 guaranteed, should only be behind Minato if not even tied. He was stated to be the fastest of his era, which included (but is not limited to) MS Madara, MS Izuna, Hashirama, the 1st and 2nd Kages of each village, etc.
Hiraishin is instant, so he can teleport as "fast" as Minato. He demonstrated all-around speed skills by snatching away a Bijuu bomb before Minato could grab it off his own body.
He did say that Minato's Shunshin was better than his, but it is unclear if he meant as an Edo (where his total ability is less than when alive) or in general.
Finally, he showed extreme speed in planting tags all over Jinchuuriki Obito without using Hiraishin or Shunshin, and did so in pretty much an instant.
Read the manga, people.
One of Itachi's core strengths is his raw speed.
It seems utterly egregious that Itachi was as fast as he was without the use of any external power-up, such as Chakra Mode, Sage Mode, or a Chakra Cloak, but he was that fast nonetheless.
Well, his hand techniques are so fast you can't comprehend or possibly even see them!
Plus, he has the illusions and the power to create a primordial space-time loop.
Itachi can move faster than the Sharingan can see and can react to even Minato, Naruto, and Raikage!
Izuna's speed was on par with Madara. Tobirama's powers gave him an edge. Otherwise, Izuna wouldn't have died.
He's very fast. Even Itachi commented on his speed. Plus, Minato's speed comes from his Flying Thunder God move, which Kakashi knows.
Oh, and he's able to use his speed to get out of nearly any move. Not sure if anyone saw the Kakashi and Guy race, but even Lee said Kakashi won the race.
Kakashi is really fast, but not faster than Guy. In the anime, it implies that Guy is faster.
Guy is also a master of taijutsu, which makes him faster than many other ninjas.
With two Mangekyo Sharingan, he had faster Kamui to warp and reappear in different spots.
Jiraiya, by far, with his special Sage Jutsu and mastery of infiltrating without being noticed.
You all forgot how fast Neji is. His body rotates super fast when he does Rotation. His hand moves super fast when he does 128 Palms and 64 Palms.
He also runs super fast. He should be in 5th or 6th place.
The guy is a beast. He was better than Rock Lee in everything they did, like seriously.
I believe he's the third fastest out of the rookies (slightly behind Rock Lee and Neji), so he definitely deserves to be placed higher.
Kaguya in the 19th slot? Wow. Considering the fact that she stopped an entire war, cast the Infinite Tsukuyomi once before, and was the mother of Hagoromo and Hamura Otsutsuki, she deserves a higher ranking. She even teleported Team 7 and Obito to a new dimension without Obito noticing, even with his Mangekyo Sharingan.
Besides, there was a brief moment in the fight between Tobi and Minato when Minato performed the Flying Raijin, Level 2, and Tobi's Sharingan followed his movement, but his body wasn't fast enough to react.
Sage of the Six Paths should be higher than this. He gave Naruto and Sasuke his power.
He's not the fastest, but he does have good speed with his Ice Mirrors technique. We saw very little of Haku because of his death, but I wonder what more we could have seen had he lived - what other techniques he might have had and possibly hidden potential.
Haku should be around lightspeed, being able to project images of himself behind him without using clones, much like Itachi. Base speed, he is not that fast, but with "Crystal Ice Mirrors," he should be able to hit the top ten.
Haku, in terms of short-distance speed, is hands down one of the fastest shinobi of all time. Moving at a speed that no other shinobi can boast - the speed of light. He kinda holds the land-speed record.
