Top 10 Best Offensive NBA Free Agents of 2019

Offense is extremely valuable. After all, you simply cannot score without strong offensive players.

There are several great offensive players entering free agency. Let's take a look at some of the best among them.

The Top Ten
  1. Kevin Durant

Kevin Wayne Durant is an American professional basketball player for the Brooklyn Nets in the NBA. He previously starred with the Seattle SuperSonics/Oklahoma City Thunder and the Golden State Warriors. He was named NBA Finals MVP in both 2017 and 2018 after championship seasons with the Warriors.

Kevin Durant can score from all three levels: close range, mid-range, and long range. He can score from the post in a variety of ways. He also has okay passing ability. He should be able to do all of this once he comes back. He should be better than ever once he comes back.

As a Warriors fan, I will definitely miss him. I think that if he had played during the finals for the whole series, we would have won.

  2. Kawhi Leonard

Kawhi Anthony Leonard is an American professional basketball player for the Los Angeles Clippers of the National Basketball Association. He has previously played for the San Antonio Spurs, with whom he won an NBA championship in 2014, and the Toronto Raptors, leading them to their first title in 2019... read more

Like Durant, Kawhi can score from all three levels. I am convinced Kawhi has reached the unguardable level that all elite offensive players can reach. Kawhi will be one of the great scorers next season and could be one of the greats of all time.

  3. Kyrie Irving

Kyrie Andrew Irving is an American professional basketball player for the Brooklyn Nets in the NBA. He previously played for the Cleveland Cavaliers and Boston Celtics. He was the 2016 NBA Finals MVP after helping the Cavaliers win their first championship.

Kyrie Irving is one of the best scorers in the league when he is hot. He is able to get to any spot on the floor with his dribbling ability. Kyrie also has a deadly jumper, and he can score from all three levels. Kyrie just needs to improve his leadership skills.

  4. D'Angelo Russell

D'Angelo Danté Russell is an American professional basketball player currently signed with the Dallas Mavericks of the NBA. He joined the Mavericks in July 2025 on a two-year, 13 million dollar contract. Russell has previously played for several NBA teams, including the Los Angeles Lakers, Brooklyn Nets... read more

D'Angelo Russell is one of the best isolation players in the league. D'Lo can get anywhere off of a pick-and-roll and get an easy bucket from all three levels. I hope he stays with the Nets so he can stay with Kenny Atkinson and the system and team he has developed.

  5. Jimmy Butler

Jimmy Butler III is an American professional basketball player for the Miami Heat of the National Basketball Association. Born in Houston, Butler grew up in Tomball, Texas, and attended college at Marquette University. He is a six-time NBA All-Star and led the Heat to the NBA Finals in 2020 and 2023... read more

Jimmy Butler gets big buckets. He can score from all three levels and is close to being unguardable. Jimmy Butler isn't unguardable yet, but he can certainly beat a lot of defenders off the dribble to get to a jump shot.

  6. Klay Thompson

Klay Alexander Thompson is an American professional basketball player for the Golden State Warriors of the National Basketball Association. He is widely regarded as one of the greatest shooters in NBA history. Thompson has won four NBA championships with the Warriors and was named an NBA All-Star five... read more

An elite shooter, and while he won't be able to play this year, hopefully, he can come back near the end of the season and next year be able to add more offensive power to his game.

  7. Kemba Walker

Kemba Hudley Walker, born May 8, 1990, is an American basketball coach and former professional player. He retired from professional basketball in July 2024 after playing for AS Monaco in France's LNB Pro A.

Following his retirement, he became a player enhancement coach for the Charlotte Hornets... read more

A great scorer at all three levels, he is a terrific scorer and is great at creating space. If a team can just surround him with the right pieces, then he could expand his offensive game more.

  8. Khris Middleton

Khris Middleton is a knockdown scorer at all three levels. He can go off the bounce and he can spot up. We saw him as a focal point of an offense last year with the Bucks. We will see what will happen next year.

  9. J.J. Redick

Jonathan Clay "JJ" Redick (born June 24, 1984) is an American professional basketball coach and former player who serves as the head coach of the Los Angeles Lakers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He played college basketball for the Duke Blue Devils and earned several major individual... read more

J.J. Redick is one of the best shooters in the league. He will be a very valuable commodity come free agency.

  10. Tobias Harris

Tobias John Harris is an American professional basketball player for the Philadelphia 76ers of the National Basketball Association. He was born on July 15, 1992, and played college basketball for the Tennessee Volunteers. Harris has been a consistent contributor in the NBA, known for his scoring and... read more

Tobias Harris is an excellent scorer, not as good as some of these other guys. Toby still has to improve in almost every category.
