Top 10 Best Disney Movie Couples

There are many romantic Disney movies and there are also not so romantic Disney movies that happen to have a romantic couple. So here are some of the best couples in Disney movies.
The Top Ten
1 Belle and Beast (Beauty and the Beast)

Beauty and the Beast is the best princess movie of all time! What makes it so great is the relationship between Belle and the Beast. At first, Belle doesn't like the Beast because, well, he's a beast and locked up her father. But that doesn't mean he's a bad guy, right?

Beast tries his best to act nice so that Belle will fall in love with him and he can be free of the curse. It's kind of hard to believe a girl would fall in love with a beast, but it's still a better love story than Twilight. The ballroom scene really made an impact on their relationship. The song in the background and the scenery really set the mood, and we can tell that they really love each other.

If a girl can fall in love with a beast, then that means there's hope for me! It will be great to see Emma Watson and Dan Stevens recreate this relationship in next year's live-action Beauty and the Beast movie!

2 Aladdin and Jasmine (Aladdin)

Aladdin got to be with the love of his life! All it took was ending up in a dungeon for stealing bread, getting trapped in the Cave of Wonders while finding a lamp, meeting the Genie that grants him three wishes, becoming a fake prince, drowning, getting lost in a snowy place, fighting Jafar as a snake, and trapping Jafar in the lamp.

Not to mention that he takes Jasmine on a flying carpet ride, which shows that girls will fall for a guy who has a sweet ride. The flying carpet scene is brilliant and romantic. However, how did Jasmine not know Prince Ali was Aladdin? The only thing different about him was the clothes.

Nevertheless, their relationship is amazing and one of the reasons why Aladdin is WAY better than Frozen!

3 Rapunzel and Eugene (Tangled)

Rapunzel was able to trust a man she just met to take her to see the lanterns! He also was a very realistic man that a lot of people could relate to, along with some very funny lines and the fact that he didn't want to sing!

But anyway, I also enjoyed how sweet he was to Rapunzel. At the part where they were taking him to prison, all he cared about was Rapunzel. He even sacrificed himself at the end of the movie (even though Rapunzel brought him back to life afterward). Now this is a great relationship!

4 Wall-E and Eve (Wall-E)

As overrated as Wall-E is, Wall-E and Eve make such an adorable couple. They first meet each other on Earth while Eve is searching for life. When she does, she (along with Wall-E) gets on a ship, and some stuff happens involving robots and humans.

I barely remember much from this movie, but a scene that I really liked was when Wall-E and Eve were floating together in space. This is one of my favorite scenes in a Pixar movie. It's so amazing and it shows a true connection between the two of them. They even have the most painful kiss ever! They literally made a spark. So cute.

Also, how was the plant able to survive in space?

5 Aurora and Phillip (Sleeping Beauty)

They are cute, very underrated, and don't get enough screen time.

This is a great couple, but the anti-Frozen digs were unnecessary.

6 Jack Skellington and Sally (The Nightmare Before Christmas)
7 Lady and the Tramp (Lady and the Tramp)

We all knew this would be here. Lady and the Tramp! A female dog meets a male dog, and they fall in love. This is by far the cutest couple in any Disney movie. The scene where they eat spaghetti is just so adorable.

Fun Fact: Walt Disney originally didn't want that scene in the movie. I'm glad they kept it in. It's one of the most iconic scenes in Disney history!

8 Ella and Kit (Cinderella, 2015)

People talked about the lack of chemistry between Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson in the much-talked-about Fifty Shades of Grey.

Fortunately, while that romantic chemistry turned out to be a complete train wreck, Lily James and Richard Madden worked up some genuinely hot and believable chemistry in this adaptation of Cinderella. This should have been the hot Valentine's Day release of 2015, not that Fifty Shades trash.

In this version, Ella actually meets the prince by chance in the forest prior to the ball. What's more, she is oblivious to the fact he's a prince.

Kit falls in love with Ella for her kind outlook on life. When he's pressured into hosting a ball to find a bride for political advantage rather than love, he sends the invitations to everyone solely to be reunited with Ella.

9 Chernabog and Maleficent (Mickey's House of Villains)

They really look like a perfect couple compared to other villains. Maleficent really loves Chernabog's talent and the things he has done. They became a couple in House of Villains and in the novel series Kingdom Keepers. Best Disney villain couple ever!

10 Bob Parr and Helen Parr (The Incredibles)

Bob is super strong, and Helen is super flexible. They must have a lot of fun in their room, if you know what I mean. It must definitely be more entertaining than Fifty Shades of Grey.

Anyway, there's just something about two superheroes falling in love that I really like. There are comic book heroes that tend to fall in love with normal people, like Captain America with Peggy Carter, Superman with Lois Lane, Spider-Man with Mary Jane and Gwen Stacy. So it's great to not see that happen all the time. And yes, Mr. Incredible and Elastigirl are perfect for each other. They even had kids. Or in Syndrome's words, "GOT BUSAYY!"

Can't wait to see them together in the sequel.

The Contenders
11 Mulan and Li Shang (Mulan)

Shang and Flynn Rider are the hottest Disney love interests, and you know it.

12 Snow White and the Prince (Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs)

"Some day my prince will come." And so he did. The relationship between Snow White and her Prince is so much better than the relationship between Cinderella and her Prince. In fact, Cinderella and Prince Charming are one of the worst Disney couples. But who cares?

Snow White and the Prince are the very first Disney couple from the very first Disney movie! Snow White gets poisoned by an apple and gets revived by a kiss from her Prince. That would definitely land him in jail. We see that the Prince loves her to the point of saving her life, and they live happily ever after! So romantic.

13 Ellie and Carl (Up)

They have by far one of the best relationships. In such a short scene, we get to see such a beautiful relationship and how it lasted over the years. We got to see how they overcame all those bumps in the road.

Despite all that, even after Ellie died, we still get to see how Carl will always continue to love her. If that's not love, I don't know what is.

Ellie and Carl are the cutest and best Disney couple ever! They deserve #1, or at least higher than some dogs! The first five minutes of Up tell the story of this adorable couple and have even made me shed a few (a lot) of tears! Ellie and Carl win the cutest couple award in Disney movies!

14 Will Turner and Elizabeth Swann (Pirates of the Caribbean)

Orlando Bloom and Keira Knightley playing a romantic couple? Genius! Will Turner is shown to have a crush on Elizabeth in Curse of the Black Pearl, but he doesn't think that she's interested in him. However, they end up becoming a couple after Will saves her from Barbossa. How heroic!

They eventually get married, and at the end of At World's End, we see their son. Will Turner and Elizabeth Swann are two of my favorite characters from the Pirates films, so I really like seeing them as a couple. Can't wait to see Will Turner return in Dead Men Tell No Tales. Too bad Elizabeth won't be in it.

15 Ariel and Eric (The Little Mermaid)

My favorite couple of all time!

16 Cinderella and Prince Charming (Cinderella, 1950)
17 Anna and Kristoff (Frozen)

The thing about Anna and Kristoff's romance is that it was never the main focus of the movie. The main focus was always directed at the two sisters' relationship. That being said, I believe that the Disney team took the right approach in making this romance not feel forced.

Kristoff is initially annoyed with Anna, but by seeing her caring and determined personality for numerous days, he eventually warms up to her, and the two realize that they are meant for one another. The best part about this relationship is that the characters don't immediately get married at the end of the film. They just start their relationship and see where it goes from there.

I think it's great that Disney is correcting past mistakes with their romantic relationships by actually giving them time to develop. The same goes for Rapunzel and Eugene in Tangled.

18 Alice Kingsleigh and Tarrant Hightopp (Alice in Wonderland, 2010)
19 Giselle and Robert (Enchanted)

They are such a good couple. I'm so glad that Giselle didn't just marry Edward because he was a prince. She actually got to fall in love with someone who, despite not being a prince, still is a great man.

Because a divorced, goofy lawyer can still be your Prince Charming. My favorite Disney couple!

20 Megara and Hercules (Hercules)

They should be higher than Ella and Kit. This is amazing. If Hercules wasn't a god, he would die for Meg. Meg fell in love again right after she sold her soul to Hades for her ex, who dumped her. I am mad.

I love the sassy girl and cinnamon boy relationship they have. They are amazing. And I love Meg. The song I Won't Say I'm in Love is awesome.

21 Maleficent and Diaval (Maleficent)
22 Pocahontas and John Smith (Pocahontas)

I think they are the best couple. I can't get over the fact that she ends up with John Rolfe. I mean, what sequel?

23 Casey Newton and Frank Walker (Tomorrowland)
24 Tarzan and Jane (Tarzan)

Couple goals. Seriously. Tarzan needs an animated sequel about Jane. Disney also needs to make a live-action Tarzan.

25 Max and Roxanne (A Goofy Movie)

The song Stand Out has been stuck in my head for about a week. In A Goofy Movie, Goofy's son, Max, has a crush on a girl at school and wants her to like him back. I know how that feels.

He tries to impress Roxanne by convincing her that he's going to a Powerline concert. Again, I know how that feels. But instead, Max ends up on a fishing trip with his dad, and they later end up going to the concert. Later on, Max tells the truth to Roxanne, saying he wanted her to like him, to which she replies that she already liked Max. It's a little cliché, but it's still a better love story than Twilight.

Max and Roxanne are perfect for each other. But whatever happened to her? She didn't appear in An Extremely Goofy Movie. Don't blame her, though. That movie sucks!
