Top 10 Best Family Guy Episodes

Family Guy is superb, but there are indeed episodes that stand out from all the rest.
The Top Ten
1 Petarded

I love this episode! There's this song they cut from the episode, which is on the DVD extended edition, on Hulu, and I think on Netflix, called "Peter is Slow," and it's amazing. You can just look up "Family Guy Peter is Slow," and it will come up. The song is short but great. The song got cut for the use of the word "retarded."

Honestly, this episode is just hilarious. It confirms everyone's suspicions about Peter. But why is And Then There Were Fewer on here? It killed the spirit of Family Guy, the nonsensical lolwut kind of humor like most of Season 10. It was good, but it wasn't Family Guy.

2 Road to the Multiverse

This episode takes an infrequently explored idea of going across far more than one other universe, venturing into other possibilities, and makes it fascinating by executing the idea correctly. This particular episode had me returning to explore more episodes like these, even after the fact I saw this show as an infant. It has the right pinch of humor to appeal to the audience they want to catch the attention of and also has a good amount of humor to appeal to more than just adolescents, to apply to those who want to see Family Guy after years and years of tuning in when they were adolescents themselves.

3 And Then There Were Fewer

This is literally my favorite episode in the entire series! I love survival/horror specials where people have to find a way to survive and investigate who could have killed someone. And now that they've recreated that with Family Guy, I had to watch it and I loved it! (SPOILER) And the ending was so unpredictable! Diane Simmons?! She was probably the last person you'd expect! For God's sake, Seamus would be more convincing. And then Lois finds out and Diane tries to kill her.

Now, this is where it got really unpredictable. When Diane was about to pull the trigger, she got shot, fell into the water, and the mysterious hero was Stewie. Of course, the only reason he saved his mom was because he wanted to be the first to kill her, but it's the thought that counts.

PTV should be first. Amazingly funny and creative, I mean the side boob hour and you cheeky bastard. It is even Seth MacFarlane's favorite episode.

Does this list get you turned on? Well, it's my list.

This is my all-time favorite episode! It should be at least #2!

5 I Dream of Jesus

This one is so funny when Peter Griffin does his little dance in the restaurant, and I also like when they scratch up the disc so he can't listen to it anymore. That was funny!

Peter's moment when he supposedly has a heart attack was hilarious! That song is really cool too, haha.

Everybody knows that the bird is the word!

6 Da Boom

This was the first GREAT episode of Family Guy. The end of the world theme is handled brilliantly, and who could forget about the debut of the chicken fight gag? This is a classic episode at the least.

First episode with Mila Kunis as Meg, funny how Meg is so ugly and Mila Kunis is easily one of the hottest girls alive!

A funny episode about the end of the world. I love Stewie in this episode, and who could forget the chicken?

7 Road to Rhode Island

I love all of the Family Guy episodes, but this one is a personal favorite. It reminds me of the good old days of Family Guy, where Stewie was actually diabolical and evil, and made the most hilarious wise-cracks about Brian's dead mother. Somehow, the fact that the two didn't even like each other and were thrown together on the trip made it fun, hilarious, and just overall awesome.

The overall episode had the funniest jokes (in my humble opinion) and the story somehow manages to mix the feeling of nostalgia, a would-be sad storyline (if it weren't for Stewie's constant jokes) and fun. That, in my opinion, is the making of a good episode. Also, the song blew me away as well.

8 Back to the Pilot

One of the best and funniest episodes ever is when Stewie and Brian go back in time to retrieve a ball he buried in the backyard. The plot takes a turn when Brian alters the past by informing his former self about 9/11, attempting to prevent it, but instead, he makes the world worse. My favorite part is when all types of Stewie and Brian's from different timelines start appearing, and one of them brings Peter along.

Awesome episode! It really reminded the viewers of how much the show has changed and developed throughout the years. Not only that, but the gag at the end, where a version of Brian and Stewie are spinning things saying, "This is life for some reason!" is one of the funniest in the show. The 9/11 gags were pretty good as well.

9 Blue Harvest

10 reasons these episodes are great:

1. It's epic.
2. It has some really funny jokes.
3. For the first time in the whole TV show, Peter is cool.
4. Chris finally gets to be the main guy.
5. After watching the first episode, you go on to watch the second, just to find yourself getting all nostalgic about the side characters from the previous episodes.
6. Cool action scenes.
7. Stewie was badass as Darth Vader.
8. Some secondary Family Guy characters are seriously hilarious in these episodes.
9. Good soundtracks.
10. Hilarious prologues.

Improvement: They could've broken new ground by adding more Megs.

10 Stewie Kills Lois

This one was good, and the ending wasn't exactly surprising. I knew even Stewie would have done all that. You know Stewie acts like he is going to destroy the world, but he actually tries to save it in his time machine with Brian.

Stewie is upset that Lois goes on a cruise without him, so he kills Lois. But she isn't dead. She comes back after Peter was framed by Stewie. When they get back home, the family is held hostage by Stewie, and he goes to Washington D.C., using Brian as his shield. He soon becomes world ruler.

The Contenders
11 Road to the North Pole

Love this one! All of the "Road to" episodes are great. "Road to Rhode Island" is my favorite, then "Road to Rupert," and this one is my third favorite.

The scene with Quagmire had me go to the doctor from blacking out due to laughing.

12 Emission Impossible

I loved the part where Lois chokes on a watermelon.

Brilliant episode! It was funny all the way to the end.

13 Three Kings

Love how they make fun of Stand By Me and also Shawshank Redemption. One of the funnier but more clever episodes, especially when Meg is found dead. Haha.

Stephen King and Family Guy? Those are 2 of my favorite things! I must be dreaming!

14 Meet the Quagmires

Seth MacFarlane singing Never Gonna Give You Up was amazing.

Is there such a thing as a character better than Quagmire?

Awesome episode! Quagmire becomes a wuss, haha!

15 Stewie Loves Lois

The "relax, I am a doctor" scenes were both crazy, creepy, and funny at the same time!

16 Stew-Roids

All I can say is, haha. This episode is sick, and when he starts flowing like that, Seth MacFarlane definitely went over the top.

I saw this episode last night, and it was absolutely hilarious!

17 Lois Kills Stewie

I like the part where Peter and Lois switched bodies and that the whole thing was a simulation.

18 Patriot Games

When Stewie beats Brian's ass, I nearly pissed my pants, I was laughing so hard! "Yeah, you got money for fake mustaches, so where's my money?!"

This one is so funny, Stewie being Tony Soprano against Brian. Underrated episode!

That's what happens, man... You got money to buy fake mustaches, huh? How much did you pay for the fake mustaches!

19 Road to Germany

I have no idea why this is so low. It should be top 10 for sure. The episode was so funny.

20 Forget-Me-Not
21 Stu and Stewie's Excellent Adventure

An awesome episode showing the future, although not as good as Road to the Multiverse.

22 The Simpsons Guy

If you love The Simpsons, I bet you're going to love this episode too!

Are you serious?! There will never be another episode like this!

23 Brian & Stewie

No cutaways, no music, and no other characters than the two in the title. It's very interesting to see Family Guy take such a serious tone with an episode, and I feel that this one does it the best. Plus, the conversation Brian and Stewie have is very heartwarming to listen to and ends on a beautiful emotional moment.

No music, no intro, no cutaways, and no other characters, just Stewie and Brian in a small room. The dialogue warmed my heart, and in that episode, you can really see that Brian and Stewie are real friends.

24 McStroke

This episode is honestly the funniest, in my opinion. When Peter has a stroke and crashes his car into a tree beside the river, and the rowers are going up the river shouting "Stroke, Stroke, Stroke," and Peter is like "STOP MOCKING ME!" Haha, awesome.

This one should be higher on the list. This is simply one of the funniest episodes, only losing to "Petarded".

It's a mustache kind of morning, Chris. I watched the sunrise in my jeans, jean shirt, and jean jacket.
