Top 10 NFL Players Who Should Go to the XFL

I've made a similar list in the past regarding the AAF. Now that it has crashed and burned, here we are with another new league.

I hope the XFL finds more success because I've always wanted spring football.

The voting period for this list has ended.
The Top Ten
  1. Josh Rosen

Okay, to be fair to Rosen, he's only been on some of the worst rosters in the league. But he was also brought in to fix that, which he quite obviously didn't. When you're benched in Miami, you really need some help. Some development in the XFL could be what is needed to save Josh Rosen's career.

  2. Nathan Peterman

At least in this league, he's going to look average. Let's face it, he's not going to make it in the NFL. There's been poor quarterback play in the XFL, and this could be Peterman's only option.

  3. Brock Osweiler

Brock Alan Osweiler is a former American football quarterback who played in the National Football League. He was drafted by the Denver Broncos in the second round of the 2012 NFL Draft. Osweiler also played for the Houston Texans and Miami Dolphins before retiring in 2019.

He flashed with the Broncos before putting together a few less-than-stellar seasons for multiple teams. I honestly don't know where he is in the league currently. He could become a top quarterback in the XFL, and this is something that I want to see.

  4. Sam Bradford

Samuel "Sam" Jacob Bradford is a former American football quarterback. He was selected by the St. Louis Rams as the first overall pick in the 2010 NFL Draft. Bradford played college football at the University of Oklahoma, where he won the Heisman Trophy in 2008 as a redshirt sophomore.... read more

Due to his extensive injury history, I can't see him getting anything more than a backup job in the NFL, if even that. Again, he could look to revive his career in the XFL and prove that he is a quality player.

  5. Alex Smith

Alexander Douglas Smith is a retired American football quarterback. He played for the San Francisco 49ers, Kansas City Chiefs, and Washington Football Team during his NFL career. Smith made a remarkable comeback after suffering a life-threatening leg injury in 2018 before retiring in 2021.

If the Redskins decide to cut him after he comes back from his brutal leg injury, he could find himself out of a job due to his age. He has said that he still wants to play, and he was playing at a high level before the injury.

  6. Josh Gordon

Joshua Caleb Gordon, born April 13, 1991, is an American football wide receiver. He has played for several teams in the NFL, including the Cleveland Browns, New England Patriots, and Kansas City Chiefs. Most recently, he was on the Tennessee Titans' practice squad in 2022.

If he can play in the XFL and finally prove that he can stay out of off-the-field trouble, he could revive his young but troubled career.

  7. Jordan Reed

Jordan Reed, born on June 11, 1990, is an American former professional football tight end. He played in the NFL for the Washington Redskins and later for the San Francisco 49ers. Reed retired due to multiple concussions but was widely regarded for his athleticism and receiving skills during his career... read more

He has had concussion problems throughout his career and was recently cut by the Redskins. If he wishes to continue playing, the XFL might be the place to go. When healthy, Reed is a quality tight end.

  8. Joe Flacco

Joseph Vincent Flacco (born January 16, 1985) is an American professional football quarterback. He played college football at the University of Delaware and was drafted by the Baltimore Ravens in the first round of the 2008 NFL Draft. Flacco is best known for leading the Ravens to victory in Super Bowl... read more

If he wants to start, he might have to go to the XFL. Both sides would benefit, as the XFL needs quality quarterbacks, and Flacco will probably never be named a starting quarterback again in the NFL, barring injuries to other quarterbacks.

  9. Nick Foles

Nicholas Edward Foles, born January 20, 1989, is a former American professional football quarterback. He played in the National Football League from 2012 to 2024. Foles is best known for leading the Philadelphia Eagles to victory in Super Bowl LII, where he was named the game's Most Valuable Player.

Much like Joe Flacco, Foles will likely spend the rest of his career as a backup, rarely seeing the field. The XFL needs veteran quarterbacks, and Foles might just be the answer for one franchise.

  10. Philip Rivers

Philip Michael Rivers is a former American football quarterback. He played for the San Diego and Los Angeles Chargers from 2004 to 2019, and for the Indianapolis Colts during the 2020 season.

Rivers was selected fourth overall by the New York Giants in the 2004 NFL Draft. He was traded to the... read more

After being cut by the Chargers, it's hard for me to see him staying in the NFL and going to another team. He could put in another couple of seasons in the XFL, and since he was a longtime starter in the NFL, he could increase viewership for the XFL.

  11. The Newcomers
  12. ?

    Tom Brady

Thomas Edward Patrick Brady Jr. is a retired American football quarterback who last played for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the National Football League. 15. Colin Kaepernick

Colin Rand Kaepernick (born November 3, 1987) is an American football quarterback who is currently a free agent. He played college football at the University of Nevada, where he was named the Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Offensive Player of the Year twice. After graduating, he was selected by the... read more

Apparently, he has expressed interest, but his salary demands were too high for this young league.

  16. Antonio Brown

Antonio Brown (born July 10, 1988) is a former NFL wide receiver who played nine seasons with the Pittsburgh Steelers before brief stints with the Oakland Raiders, New England Patriots, and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He earned seven Pro Bowl selections and led the league in receptions, receiving yards, and... read more

He would need to prove that he wants to play football again.

  17. Marshawn Lynch

Marshawn Terrell Lynch is an American former football running back. He previously played for the Buffalo Bills, Seattle Seahawks, and Oakland Raiders, winning one Super Bowl with the Seahawks. Lynch initially retired from professional football in 2016 but returned in 2017 to play for the Raiders. He... read more

  18. Dez Bryant

Desmond Demond "Dez" Bryant, born November 4, 1988, is a former American professional football wide receiver. He played for the Dallas Cowboys in the National Football League, where he spent eight seasons from 2010 to 2017. Bryant was known for his physical playing style and was selected to three Pro... read more

  19. Hayden Hurst

  20. Charles Harris

  21. Reuben Foster

After the torn ACL and legal troubles, this could get his career back on track.

  22. Kevin White

Kevin Romone White Jr., born on June 25, 1992, is a former American football wide receiver. He played college football at West Virginia, where he earned first-team All-American honors in 2014, and was selected seventh overall by the Chicago Bears in the 2015 NFL Draft... read more

  23. Vernon Hargreaves

  24. Josh Doctson

  25. Andy Dalton

Andrew Gregory Dalton (born October 29, 1987) is an American football quarterback who currently plays for the Dallas Cowboys of the National Football League (NFL). He was drafted by the Cincinnati Bengals in the second round of the 2011 NFL Draft and spent nine seasons as their starting quarterback.... read more

He should go to the XFL because of what he's doing in the NFL. His ratings are not getting high, and it's time for him to leave the Bengals because he could get replaced by Joe Burrow. The XFL would be better for Andy Dalton.
