I know a lot of people will have their opinion of which characters they deem important to animation and if you see characters on the list who should be on it feel free to add them to the list.

A character who made specifically for the military in a series of war time cartoons, since a lot of the soldiers at the time were illiterate the best way to teach them the importance of following military procedures was by showing a cartoon about it, Snafu which actually stands for (Situation Normal All F-ked Up or Fouled Up) who was portrayed as the worst soldier in the army who always manages to screw everything up and usually ends with his own demise which was important to show soldiers how to avoid making the same mistakes everything from keeping military secrets to the importance of the gas mask as well as avoiding bobby traps and since it was made only for the army they didn't have to follow strict studio codes which allowed them to be as raunchy and risky with nudity and curse words. - egnomac

I might as well even consider him a modern-day Superman in a way, and possibly even better than the Man of Steel himself.
