I like Los Angeles skyline better because the mountains are farther back giving it a more spacious look and feel.

New York is ok from some angles. But at time it seems to sardined. If Manhattan was twice larger in land area and the buildings more spread out it would look better. But hey it's NYC

LA's natural skyline (mountain range) is much higher than NYC and Dubai. Downtown just need two 100+ storey structures between 1300 to over 2000 feet. Los Angeles mountains tower up to over 10,000 feet.
