Top Ten Locations that Could Be Used for a Future Pokemon Setting
If you ever noticed that the Pokemon games always take place in locations that are modeled after real-world locations, you can probably understand what this list is about. We've already seen...The islands of Japan (Gens 1-4)
New York City (Gen-5)
France (Gen-6)
Hawaii (Gen-7)
UK (Gen-8)
What else is there? This may happen in Gen-9, or it may not? But we're also not thinking about location names either, just real-world locations that Game Freak may or may not use as their next inspiration or so.
What could be the odds? Most of the middle is desert, but the other parts of Australia can be populated well.
There's already been island hopping with the Sevii islands and Alola, the possibility of another one of these would work out pretty well.
Someplace in Scandinavia would be an interesting setting for a Pokemon game, considering there were already two European locations already done.
If Game Freak ever wanted to try something more with some sort of legend, what better inspiration than Greece or the area around the Aegean Sea?

This ought to be fun, and it may include the Balkans to the east or Iberia to the west for some extra flair.
With Spain coming, they may be too similar
Cuba, Hispaniola, the Bahamas, and maybe some bits and pieces of Florida. Would be interesting for a pirate-theme if possible too.
Lush jungles, some deserts, I can even picture Madagascar getting factored in here somehow.
This peninsula like Italy and Greece would be quite fun, and you could probably fit some parts of Morocco too.
For something more of a carnival setting, with tons of jungle life, this ought to be a fun one.
