Top 10 Best Pokemon Designs

When it comes to Pokémon, their designs are as integral to their charm as their unique powers or endearing personalities. From the very first generation of Pokémon, we've been treated to a dazzling array of designs. Whether it's the simple elegance of Pikachu, the majestic awe of Gyarados, or the intricate complexity of Alakazam, there's a lot to love.

In a world that spans nine generations with over 1,000 Pokémon, each creature holds a distinct place with its unique design.

Maybe it's Charizard's fearsome appearance that stands out to you, with its fiery tail and dragon-like form inspiring a sense of power and awe. Or perhaps you appreciate the whimsical creativity behind Jigglypuff's round, soft, and charmingly simple design.

And let's not forget the newer generations, which continue to captivate us with Pokémon like Greninja, with its cleverly incorporated ninja theme, or Mimikyu, whose design poignantly reflects its own story and lore.

It's up to you to decide which designs truly capture the spirit of Pokémon. Is it the adorable first-stage evolutions, the awe-inspiring final forms, or the stand-alone Pokémon that have no evolution but still strike a chord with you?

Absol is honestly my favorite Pokemon. I choose him for every playthrough of the games that I do. In the Marriland forums, I always talk about how great a Pokemon it is. With its powerful attack stat, it packs a punch and looks awesome. And Mega Absol? Guardian Angels!

A stunning angel of disaster. The elusive white fur, piercing crimson eyes, intimidating claws, and horn. What's not to love?

No. 6 is okay... I guess?... NO!

Greninja deserves to be way higher. He should be number 1, and until that happens, this list is factually incorrect. Greninja should be number 1 forever!

Greninja is a sleek, dark frog ninja. There's nothing bad about it. Also, it uses its tongue as a scarf, SO SICK!

Ninja-styled Pokemon that uses its tongue as a scarf. What's not to like about it?

Vaporeon, known in Japan as Showers, is a Water-type Pokémon introduced in Generation I. It evolves from Eevee when exposed to a Water Stone. Vaporeon is known for its mermaid-like appearance and its unique ability to become invisible in water.

This guy is adorable. How can you not love that smile?

    My favorite Eevee evolution.

Lucario was created by Ken Sugimori and first appeared as a central character in the film Pokémon: Lucario and the Mystery of Mew. Lucario is just the most badass Pokemon that's ever lived. Its shiny form is just awesome. Its Mega is too. I could go on forever.

This is the best. There are some designs that are just for young children and babies.

Lucario is so awesome! Especially his Mega evolution!

  6. Lycanroc

Lycanroc, known in Japanese as Lugarugan, is a Rock-type Pokémon introduced in Generation VII. It evolves from Rockruff starting at level 25. Lycanroc has three forms, known as Midday, Midnight, and Dusk, and the form it evolves into depends on the time of day and the version of the game.

Extremely edgy, but a nice design overall! Gotta love them.

I don't like dogs, but this looks sick.

    This is sick, boys.

Once you see its Alolan form, you will all vote for this guy.

  8. Scyther

  9. Arcanine

Arcanine, known in Japan as Windie, was introduced in Generation I and evolves from Growlithe when exposed to a Fire Stone. It is a Fire-type Pokémon known for its speed and majestic appearance. Arcanine is often described in Pokédex entries as having the nobility and grace of a legendary Pokémon.

I love Arcanine. I've never used him on my main team, but he just looks so awesome. So worthy of being on this list.

Awesome design, and stats higher than Gyarados! Need I say more?

YAY! My favorite Gen 1 Pokemon and second favorite Pokemon of all time next to Sceptile.

  10. Leafeon

Leafeon, known in Japan as Leafia, is a Grass-type Pokémon introduced in Generation IV. It is one of Eevee's eight possible evolutions. Leafeon evolves when Eevee is leveled up near a Moss Rock or exposed to a Leaf Stone, depending on the game.

The Pokemon franchise has always been great at making simplistic designs look awesome, but they really nailed it with Eevee. He looks like he really suits his purpose, and his design makes sense.

Better than Pikachu, laughing out loud.

Very simple yet appealing. I like it.

  23. Houndoom

I wish Houndoom had a higher rank here. I mean, it's a demon dog. It's hard to make something out of that, and to make it this cool must be near impossible.

It looks awesome! I say that it has the best design, better than Vaporeon! (Not Absol because I like Absol!) Eevee is a cat, so Leafeon is a leaf cat, Jolteon is a volt cat, Flareon is a fire cat, Umbreon is an umbrella cat, and Vaporeon is a fish cat! How can a mammal change to a fish? And something above its head is like that of a shark. Houndoom's design is seriously the best!
