Top 10 Reasons Why NFTs are Bad

Welcome! Today, we're going to talk about a very huge issue going on involving the internet. That issue, NFTs. For those who don't know what that is, it's a type of Crypto (similar to Dogecoin) that is said to be similar to a digital trading card. But despite the praise it got for that, NFTs have a very bad reputation. And this list will explain why they do. Keep in mind that I do not support NFTs let alone Crypto. Let's go!
The Top Ten
1 NFTs ruin the environment

Here, we have the most obvious reason why NFTs are hated. NFTs ruin the environment. The reason why is because they are infamously known to use way too many resources and energy then they're supposed to. It, along with Bitcoin mining have already generated over 38 million tons of CO2 (Carbon Dioxide). Which is more than quite a few nations. So if you thought some countries have huge carbon footprints, NFTs are worse. Carbon Footprints are why Global Warming is getting worse.

2 Most NFTs encourage stealing

Remember those old anti-piracy ads on Paramount DVDs? Well, you want to say that to them when you realize that most NFT "artists" typically steal other people's art and often seem to do other ridiculous stuff whenever somebody criticizes them. Saberspark is a pretty big example of someone who is targeted by so-called "artists". So Red Monkey Family? More like Belongs in the Trash!

3 NFTs are ridiculously expensive

Okay, you've seen the prices of some things: PlayStation 5s cost 500 USD, Giant barrels of Party Mix cost 6 USD, a typical Pokémon game goes for around 40 USD. But you'd say that I'm insane if I told you that many NFTs are said to have cost thousands. Now my biggest issue with this is that something as useless as an NFT doesn't really deserve that hefty price tag.

4 NFTs can become worthless after a while

Much like my previous reasons, NFTs, much like other forms or crypto are known for becoming worthless after a while because like I said previously on this list, the ultra-high price tags often make things more worthless because nobody is buying them. And if nobody is buying them, then you might have to ask yourself "What's the point of it?" when nobody's buying your Non-Fungible Tokens.

5 Most NFTs available are either poorly made or copies of other NFTs

Like I said previously, most NFTs in the market look like that people have taken little to no time to create them and it feels more like they were made on MS Paint for 35 seconds and given a questionable price tag. Now if you think about it, I wouldn't even pay a single cent for NFTs despite how good-looking some of them are.

6 NFTs can be easily copied

One of my fathers employee's trade's NFTs. It's a pity I have worked with him before and he seems really nice. I hope he doesn't end up losing all his money or anything. Edit I know he has traded them I don't know if he still does.

On with the topic of being ridiculously expensive, NFTs are also prone to being copied. So what was the point of spending an entire mortgage for just an image when most people just copy them in the first place?

7 NFTs expose the greed of companies

Hold up, companies? Yes, actual companies and famous people support NFTs. Namely Disney, Nickelodeon, Epic Games, and 6ix9ine to name a few. These companies are already making enough money from ads, subscription services, and merchandise, so why do they need NFTs? One answer: Money. These companies could care less if the Earth self-destructs if they get their 62 cents a day.

8 NFTs are overall a scam

No explanation needed as most of the list covers why these things are considered a scam. Why spend your money on stuff like this when there are other more serious things (I.e. Childhood hunger) that deserve more attention?

9 NFTs were the inspiration of "Red Ape Family", which is often considered to be one of the worst shows of all time to many

Now you might be wondering "What's Red Ape Family? Is it a fake show like Fred and the Nature Gang?" Well, for the latter, sadly no, and for the former, Red Ape Family is a real cartoon based on those ugly NFTs I made fun earlier. Well, the thing is, Red Ape Family has a solid 1/10 on IMDb and most of the reviewers, including the famous Saberspark have said myriads upon myriads of reasons why this show shouldn't exist. You should see them for yourselves!

10 There are more environment-friendly alternatives to receive money

In harmony with number one on this list, there are just better alternatives that give you more money than any NFT will give you. How about selling some stuff on Ebay or getting a job? Most people often get a good share of money (despite the gender difference) that most NFTs rarely get when you have a good paying job.
