Top 10 Countries With Best Football (Soccer) Fans

You can feel great football support before the first whistle even blows. It is in the songs rolling through the stands, the flags snapping above the crowd, the painted faces, the nervous pacing, and the full-body commitment of people who somehow believe yelling at a television can influence a left-back 4,000 miles away.

This list is about the countries where football fandom becomes part of daily life. You are not just watching a match. You are stepping into a culture built on loyalty, heartbreak, superstition, local pride, and the occasional argument that continues long after everyone involved should have gone to bed.

Vote for the countries whose fans bring the loudest voices, the sharpest chants, the wildest matchday scenes, and the kind of devotion that makes football feel less like a sport and more like a national nervous system.

The Top Ten
  1. India

We should be in the top position, actually. Even though we are improving ourselves to get into the world of football competitions, we are the best. How many people in all those European and South American countries wake up at midnight to watch a football game? I don't think there are a lot. But we Indians wake up at midnight just to see a match that is going on in some other part of the world, only because of the love and respect towards this sport.

Now, Indian football is rising slowly. And I believe that the support the players get from fans like us is an inevitable part of their rise.

Maybe due to corruption and policies, Team India is not up to the mark. But surely, they have a craze for football.

  2. Brazil

Brazil is the gods of football. Best national team, best league teams, best rivalries, game vibe, and more. Football is life, passion, and all.

I live in India, but my second love country is Brazil. Brazil football is my half heart.

Brazil is the best football nation in world history.

  3. Argentina

I've never seen such passionate people when it comes to football as Argentinians. The feeling when they win the World Cup is indescribable. For the people that were in Qatar for the World Cup the day of Argentina vs France, when Montiel scored, there was not as much noise as expected since most of the people were crying with their souls with joy about the victory.

And afterwards, you come to find out that four million people are out in the streets of Buenos Aires celebrating a game.

Argentina is the best team in football. I support team Argentina from Bangladesh. I love Argentina football for everything!

  4. Netherlands

The greatest football country that has not won the World Cup, unfortunately. Small number of people, yet they outperform the U.S.A., Germany, France, Spain, Brazil, etc. Go Netherlands!

  5. Germany

    Germany is the best.

  6. Croatia

  7. Spain

Play football in the school outside with the sun when you were little. Play football in the halls of your house. Play football at the beach. Play football in the streets. Play football in the parks. Talk about football in school, at your job, in the streets, in the bars, at any social event. Football is life in Spain.

Not the biggest football fan myself, but this country is full of football fans.

  8. Italy

Long, proud, and glorious soccer pedigree and history, almost unmatched. On the international stage, Italy boasts four World Cup titles and six finals appearances, on par with Germany's four wins and just one behind Brazil. Its club sides, playing in one of the best leagues in Serie A - arguably the most tactical of leagues, have been among the best in the world from the onset.

This includes the great Bologna teams who won a Mitropa Cup, a precursor to the Champions League, with some of the most fervent fans around, including those of Napoli and Roma. Fiorentina and Lazio have also seen tournament and league successes. Of course, its big three sides are giants in world football, with Juventus, AC Milan, and Internazionale (Inter Milan).

Its national side and club teams have given soccer some of its most dramatic, cynical, and beautiful players and matches ever witnessed. Italian soccer is a wild ride of ups and downs, bitter disappointment, and pure celebration. And it's only natural that this would be joined by the fact its fans, who were often pioneers with their chanting and dedication to their clubs, would be as fanatical as most fan bases around the world.

  9. Ireland

The only fans that do not boo and try to put off opposition penalty kickers. They show the best sportsmanship and respect for opposition teams by a wide mile. Really good-natured fans that enjoy a bit of craic and like to include the opposition in the fun.

Good-natured and friendly. Unlike the Eastern Europeans, they don't need pyro and violence to make their mark.

  10. France

    Macedonia

  13. ?

    Bulgaria

  14. The Contenders
  15. Mexico

No matter when or where Mexico plays, you will always see the stadium and city packed with Mexican fans. Just look at the crowd.

We literally made an artificial earthquake when Mexico scored during the 2018 World Cup.

They literally cheered so hard that the earth shook. I mean, what else is there to say?

  16. England

The English lads sure do love the banter.

  17. Denmark

I think Denmark has the best fans by far. Look at the Euros 2020. They support Denmark on another level before and after the circumstances with Christian Eriksen. At the match between Denmark and Belgium, the Danish fans showed yet again how incredible they are!

  18. Portugal

Ronaldo is the best! I love watching all the Portugal soccer teams. They are amazing with awesome techniques.

It's a very underrated team. Yes, they have many flaws, but so does every team. I love Portugal!

Because Ronaldo is in there, and Portugal is the best team in the world.

  19. Indonesia

Indonesian football fans are really passionate. In any country competing, there are always those who support it.

Sporty, win or lose, they still give support and always remain friendly to other team supporters.

Just visited this country. I have watched a football match here, and it's so amazing.

Visit Indonesia, watch football, and you will enjoy it. Amazing fans.

  20. Chile

  21. Sweden

The Stockholm derby is intense as hell. Some of the loudest fans in the world, comparable to that of Red Star and Partizan.

  22. Iran

I'm Iranian, and my family and all of my friends are really football fans. Football is in our blood.

Iran has just now, sadly, been eliminated in the World Cup, and seriously, I was crying.

  23. Nigeria

  24. Peru

When Peru qualified for a World Cup after 36 years, the fans caused an earthquake in the capital and sang all night outside the players' hotel.

  25. Bangladesh

Most of us like Brazil or Argentina. Mostly we debate Maradona vs Pele: who is the GOAT. Nowadays, it's Neymar vs Messi. But I love Cristiano Ronaldo most of all.

Bangladesh has a huge audience for football during the World Cup.

  26. Pakistan

Who says Pakistan has the worst football fans has to know that we stay up until 3:00 AM just to watch a single match!

  27. Serbia

The Eternal Derby (Crvena Zvezda vs. Partizan) is proven to be the best derby in the world.

  28. Scotland

How is Scotland not at the top? Literally everyone other than the English says Scotland has the best fans. We've got the passion of the South Americans with unmatched banter to add. We make friends everywhere we go. Christ, the Germans wanted to adopt us after Euro 24. Win, lose, or draw, we have a party, don't cause trouble, and tidy up afterwards.

They love their country and they love the countries they visit. Great for the local beer economy.

Best behaved away fans, win or lose.

  29. Turkey
