Top Ten Most Underrated Point Guards of All-Time

The Top Ten
1 Jason Kidd
2 Fat Lever

He was pretty much Russell Westbrook before Russell Westbrook was born. He was just such a underrated Point.

He was a triple double machine

3 Kyle Lowry Kyle Lowry is an American professional basketball player for the Toronto Raptors of the National Basketball Association.

Pretty underrated.

4 Patrick Beverley

So Beverly is really underrated. He is not even mentioned in the best defensive point guards ever conversation. Pat is probably one of the most gritty point guards ever.

5 Kyrie Irving Kyrie Andrew Irving is an American professional basketball player for the Brooklyn Nets of the National Basketball Association. He has played for the Cleveland Cavaliers, Boston Celtics, and the Nets.

Kyrie will probably go down as one of the best point guards ever. But he is still underrated he isn't even on people's list of the top points today.

6 Mike Conley Michael Alex Conley Jr. is an American professional basketball player for the Memphis Grizzlies of the National Basketball Association.

Being from Tennessee I might be a little biast, but still Conley doesn't even make the all star team even though he scores 20 or more points every year.

7 Steve Francis

Really underrated

8 Nate Archibald

Time to go on my annual "Nate Archibald rant." He is amazing. It's just he played in the dang 50's and nobody remembers him. He was the first good point guard besides Bob Cousy, who we will get to in a sec. Nate "Tiny" Archibald was so good.

Just to clarify, he did NOT play in "the dang 50's", he started in 'the doggone 70's", just a 20-year difference, and even won an NBA championship as a team-mate of Larry Bird in the "cotton-pickin' 80's".

Led the league in scoring and assists in the same season while playing for the lowly KC Kings.

9 Bob Cousy

I don't think Cooz is as bad as other players in terms of underating. Just like Nate he played in the 60's so yeah. He is probably the best passer ever.

10 Deron Williams Deron Michael Williams is an American professional basketball player for the Dallas Mavericks of the National Basketball Association.

D-Will took the jazz to the playoffs every year he was there except his rookie season. He averaged 21 and 10 in the playoffs in his sophomore year and took 2 games from the team that swept lebron james in the 2007 NBA finals. He was that good.

Peak Deron was the best point guard in the world. Dominated his arch rival(CP3) every time they played in head to head matchups. Pure skill and strength was his bread and butter.

In 2008, he did not make the all star team but made the All-NBA 2nd Team.
In 2009, he averaged 19 and 10 and took the jazz to the playoffs despite the fact that his pick and roll partner, Boozer, was out for more than half the season and he did not even make the all star team or an All-NBA team that season.
D-Will was criminally underrated.

The Contenders
11 Mario Chalmers
12 John Wall Johnathan Hildred Wall Jr. is an American professional basketball player for the Washington Wizards of the National Basketball Association.
13 Stephen Curry Wardell Stephen Curry II is an American professional basketball player for the Golden State Warriors of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He is widely considered to be one of the greatest shooters in NBA history, if not the greatest. He is one of the most beloved stars in the NBA today, as well as one of the most controversial.

No way he's underrated

14 Gail Goodrich

Even though he was the team leader on his college team, taking them to 30-0 and the NCAA championship, and no matter how great he played, when he got to the Lakers, he was always overshadowed by his team's Shooting Guard- Jerry West.

15 Norm Nixon
16 Damian Lillard Damian Lamonte Ollie Lillard is an American professional basketball player for the Milwaukee Bucks of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He previously played for the Portland Trail Blazers.

He is, in my opinion, the most underrarted guard in 2019, although his stats may not say that, but when the team needs him, he is there, he is also one of the most humble, he makes a big shot, he gets down the court for defense, he doesn't do all this showboating that 60% of the NBA Players right now do.
