Top 10 Common Warrior Cats Misconceptions

Here's a list of things that, surprisingly, a lot of people in the Warrior Cats fandom believe are true but aren't actually true. Some of these come from things fans made up, while others come from misinterpretations of what happened in the books.

  1. Ashfur's death was an accident

    I think that Hollyleaf was planning to pin Ashfur down and threaten him so he wouldn't spill the secret.

    Hollyleaf killed him. It's so obvious!

  3. Squirrelflight was carrying Ashfur's stillborn kits

    No! Bramble x Squirrel forever! What moron made up this lie? Bramblestar is cool, and Ashfur is terrible! She was never pregnant other than when she was carrying Alderheart and Sparkpelt. - xX_Laurel_Xx

    I will believe this forever because Ash x Squirrel is my favourite ship, next to Crow x Leaf. I feel like the kits would be named Brindlekit, after Ashfur's mother, Brindleface, and Spottedkit because Squirrelflight wanted to honor her father's dead ex. -FeirceheartOfThunderClan

  4. Dovewing "replaced" Hollyleaf

    She didn't replace her. The Erins just couldn't make a power for her.

    I feel like Hollyleaf and Ivypool should have both been in the prophecy because Firestar has been in too many, in my thoughts.

  5. Littlecloud, Icecloud, etc. secretly have crushes on Cinderpelt, Lionblaze, etc.

    This is mostly the shippers making this up, and then everyone thinks it's canon.

    There are a lot of these in the fandom, but I only put two here.

  6. Bluestar chased Thistleclaw out of StarClan

    Yeah, this is wrong. Thistleclaw died before Bluestar, though Bluestar could have chased him out when she died.

  7. Scourge took Firestar's first life by slitting his throat

  8. The true color of Scourge's collar is red

    Purple, not red.

  9. There are forbidden suffixes and prefixes in the naming system

    Like Amethyst is not a known Warrior Cats term, or Pumpkin, unless they are previously kittypets.

  14. Ashfur is the father of Ivypool and Dovewing

    No! Birchfall is the father of Ivypool and Dovewing. But Birchfall is related to Ashfur. Birchfall's mother is Ferncloud, and Ferncloud's brother is Ashfur.

  15. Jayfeather impersonated Jay's Wing physically

    Some people misinterpret this as Jayfeather dreaming or experiencing Jay's Wing's memories, and also whether Jayfeather and Jay's Wing are the same cat or two different cats.

    He was in Jay's Wing's body as a spirit.

  16. Thrushpelt is Mistyfoot's father
