Top 10 Worst Disney Renaissance Characters

These are the worst, most DESPICABLE characters in the Disney Renaissance movies.

The Top Ten

1 Terk (Tarzan)

She's super annoying and her design also sucks. - Vancedapurpleguy

Horrible character and evil Rosie - iliekpiez

Oh, she’s a girl. I thought she was a boy. - RadioHead03

I agree with what MegaSoulhero said. Honestly this character could’ve been alright in my book but he/she’s so annoying that it kinda ruins the character. - Randomator

2 Ariel (The Little Mermaid) Princess Ariel is a fictional character and the title character of Walt Disney Pictures' 28th animated film The Little Mermaid.

She is pretty cool. And it’s my moms favorite so it will always have a place in my heart. - Spacebar

I hate, I loathe, I DESPISE ARIEL! There is no POSSIBLE way anyone can defend her! She has a horrible personality and just doesn't deserve a happy ending! She should’ve been the one to get impaled! I feel bad for her parents! They wanted all of their kids to be normal, but then they accidentally gave birth to an idiot! She is the worst type of bad character there is! She is every negative trait of a character put into one! It’s amazing how Flounder continues to be friends with her considering she doesn't seem to care about him as she puts his life in danger! Not only that, but she also clearly doesn't care about her family! She ditches them and doesn't feel any guilt whatsoever! When she’s making that deal with Ursula, she’s told exactly what will happen but she still ends up agreeing to do it anyway! It’s not like she’s doing it to help her family, she’s doing it for her own selfish reasons! And what does she do to redeem herself in the end!? Absolutely nothing! Eric is ...more - MegaSoulhero

3 Megara (Hercules) Meg is a heroine from the Disney movie Hercules. Meg is the love interest for, the protagonist, Hercules. Meg sold her soul to Hades for her boyfriend's freedom. However, the (soon to be ex) boyfriend ended up cheating on her. Meg is scared of getting hurt again. However, once she sees how genuine Hercules's more.

I hate Megara so much. Why would anyone fall in love with someone with this kind of attitude? Almost everything she says is said in a sarcastic way. It makes it hard for her to be a character we want to care for. She also has the worst line in the whole movie. “People do crazy things when they’re in love.” As if it wasn't already obvious that she had feelings for Hercules. They didn't need her to flat out say it. She’s just so unlikeable. - MegaSoulhero

4 Hugo (The Hunchback of Notre Dame)

They were a blemish on an otherwise delightfully dark movie. - Cyri

Every time these guys showed up in the film, I rolled my eyes. They are not funny in the slightest. I would’ve forgiven them if they were part of Quasimodo’s imagination, but they’re not. They’re apparently really alive and that just makes me angry. - MegaSoulhero

Maybe if they make a live action film, they should make it like you want it - YanRocky

5 Victor (The Hunchback of Notre Dame)

These guys are so infuriating. They even have a really dumb song number that doesn't add anything to the film. So many great songs then they have this one bad song that drags the film down. The gargoyles are such a terrible part in an otherwise great movie. - MegaSoulhero

6 Laverne (The Hunchback of Notre Dame)

The addition of the gargoyles was really dumb. They don't make the movie better, they take away from the dark tone of the film, and they’re just overall annoying. - MegaSoulhero

7 John Smith (Pocahontas)

Who? Oh yeah this guy is just so forgettable and bland. I don't remember anything significant about him or what he did in the movie other than that he liked Pocahontas. That’s literally all there is to him - Randomator

An absolutely bland character with very little development. Seriously, I don't even remember a single line from him. He doesn't have any memorable moments. He’s just so dull. Pocahontas is kinda a dull character too, but she at least has moments where she shines. John Smith is so forgettable and one of the weakest aspects in this already weak movie. They could’ve even given him something insanely dumb to do and I would at least still probably remember it. They did it with Pocahontas herself. Like when she learned to speak English from THE WIND! - MegaSoulhero

8 Hercules (Hercules)

Hercules is the main hero of the film. Yet nothing about him really stands out. He’s just a stereotypical hero character. He does a bunch of heroic acts to prove himself worthy and he ends up with a girl at the end. This guy reminds me too much of Superman. This is far from being the movie’s biggest problem, though. I still think it’s dumb that even after saving hundreds of people, he still wasn't able to go back to Olympus until he risked his life to save Megara. So saving one life is better than saving hundreds of lives? You could say that it was because he was willing to give up his own life, but you could also say that about everything else he did throughout the film. I hate this movie so much. - MegaSoulhero

9 Chi-Fu (Mulan)

He always says SHES A WOMAN

I hate this guy so much. He’s so sexist. He’s so mean to Mulan for no other reason other than she’s a woman. Sure, he had a reason when they found out she was a woman since she lied to them, but then she saves China and Chi-Fu doesn't seem to care because she’s a woman. It’s clear he hates women. Just like Star Wars fans. Not only that, but he’s just cranky throughout the entire movie. He’s such a stick in the mud. I really don't like this character. - MegaSoulhero

10 Nala (The Lion King) Nala is a fictional character who appears in Disney's The Lion King franchise and is introduced in the animated film The Lion King in 1994.

Looks like the infamous TLK hater has found this list. - Vancedapurpleguy

The Contenders

11 Flounder (The Little Mermaid)

Flounder is very harmless and is nowhere near as bad as Ariel, but he does absolutely nothing. He’s only there so Ariel can have a sidekick, but he adds absolutely nothing to the movie. I mainly only remember him doing things in the beginning when him and Ariel are finding objects. That’s mainly because he’s whining and being afraid of everything there. However, I kinda feel bad for him because he has to put up with Ariel’s carelessness. He almost died because of her. Why he still remains as her friend is beyond me. Flounder’s not an entirely bad character, but he is a very pointless one. - MegaSoulhero

12 Mushu (Mulan)

He was a great character in the original Mulan, but the sequel ruined his personality and made him completely unlikable.

It looks like the Teen Titans Go characters messed up Mushu's personality for Mulan 2
