Top 10 Anime Siblings

The Top Ten
Edward & Alphonse Elric (Full Metal Alchemist)

It's pretty much impossible to put them anywhere lower on this list. They're the ideal pair. Most people say that Ed giving up his arm for Alphonse was proof of their bond (which it is, duh!), but that wasn't his only sacrifice. Edward became a dog of the military, giving up his innocence, pride, and dignity, all for the sake of his younger brother.

In fact, Alphonse is essentially Edward's only reason for existence - at least at the beginning of the series. Even as Edward subjects himself to this fate, Alphonse watches over him to make sure he doesn't go overboard. Throughout the entire series, Edward goes through low points, and it's Alphonse who talks him out of it. It's Alphonse who reminds him to keep going.

The most admirable thing about the Elric brothers, besides their bravery, determination, kindness, and brains, is that they are always there for each other. They'll sacrifice anything and everything they have for one another. That is what defines the Elric brothers.

Sasuke and Itachi Uchiha (Narutopedia)

They have the most emotionally involved bond that I've seen so far. Everything Itachi did, and how Sasuke feels about his actions, ends up in a very mixed-feeling type of conclusion.

Itachi loved Sasuke too much.
Itachi sacrificed too much.
Itachi even died at the hands of his own brother, willingly.
Itachi and Sasuke's love was deep.

Not just them, but their entire clan too. Posts everywhere saying no clan values or treasures love and family more than the Uchiha tell the truth.

Gohan & Goten (Dragon Ball Z)

This duo consists of the strongest unfused Z fighter, the fighter with unlimited potential, and the youngest Super Saiyan ever. They're really powerful, and they share a strong bond too!

Two very strong warriors and sons of Goku.

Ayeka & Sasami Jurai (Tenchi Muyo)

The Princesses of Jurai have polar opposite personalities. Ayeka is aggressive and outspoken, while Sasami is gentle and compassionate - she even does all the cooking. Despite Ayeka's aggressiveness, she still loves her sister.

Joey & Serenity Wheeler (Yu-Gi-Oh!)

I love these two. Not only is Joey my favorite character of all time, but he has to be one of the best big brothers ever. The things he does to get money for his sister, and when she rescued him from drowning - those moments are unforgettable.

Yu-Gi-Oh! was my childhood, and these two will always hold a special place in my heart.

Joey enters the Duelist Kingdom to earn the money to pay for Serenity's operation. Even after losing in the finals, with help from Yugi, he makes good on his promise.

I just love brother-sister relationships, especially when it's the older brother and the younger sister!

Matoi Ryuko & Kiryuin Satsuki (Kill La Kill)
Lelouch & Nunnally Vi Britannia (Code Geass) Lelouch Lamperouge, whose real name is Lelouch vi Britannia, is the title character and protagonist of the Sunrise anime series Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion.

I really, and I mean really, get the feels whenever Lelouch and Nunnally are together. He just does the whole Zero thing to make the world a better place for Nunnally. Wow, I don't know what else to say about them except their relationship is so cute.

Lelouch even "died" to make the world a better place for his little sister.

Android #17 & Android #18 (Dragon Ball Z)
Sora and Shiro (No Game No Life)

Whenever you can play games all day with your sibling and then spend the rest of your time having such incredible and sweet bonding moments, you know it's a good relationship.

Do I really have to say anything? They are cute and loving and the best siblings ever. You can tell how strong their relationship is, as together, they are "Blank."

They have complete and utter trust and faith in each other. This bond is so pure and powerful.

Akane, Nibiki, & Kasumi Tendo (Ranma 1/2)

The three Tendo sisters: tomboy Akane, the trickster Nibiki, and the beautiful and kind Kasumi.

The Newcomers

? Tanjiro & Nezuko Kamado (Kimetsu no Yaiba)

Best siblings ever! They are too cute!

? Sanji & Reiju (Vinsmoke)

They are both awesome characters and the only decent (alive) members of a very messed-up family.

The Contenders
Alex & Olivier Armstrong (Full Meal Alchemist Brotherhood)
Mizuho & Maho Kazami (Please Teacher)

At first, Maho strongly opposes Mizuho and Kei's marriage. She tries everything to get rid of him, but after sending him into a standstill and seeing how much Mizuho loves him, she eventually accepts him.

Yō & Minatsuki Takami (Deadman Wonderland)

Yō intentionally gets himself locked up to free his sister Minatsuki, who turns out to be a total psycho. Despite her craziness, she eventually looks out for him when he's injured.

Killua & Alluka Zoldyck (Hunter x Hunter)

They have such a cute relationship, especially considering their family. Killua cares about her so much, and he's also the only family member who recognizes her as a girl. Alluka/Nanika even has special rules regarding Killua for her power.

I just feel like they have such a close bond, and they're really cute together.

Hikaru and Kaoru Hitachiin - Ouran HighSchool Host Club

They remind us a lot of Fred and George Weasley from Harry Potter, don't they?

Monkey D. Luffy & Portgas D. Ace (One Piece)

I've always loved sibling relationships, and this is by far one of my favorites. The way Luffy was willing to put himself through hell just to save Ace, and how Ace didn't hesitate to sacrifice his life for his little brother, is both beautiful and heartbreaking.

(SPOILERS!) I swear I hate how Ace died! Oh Akainu, if I ever meet you, I hope you perish in the deepest parts of hell.

Mirajane, Elfman, and Lisanna (Fairy Tail)

The trust and friendliness in this sibling trio are amazing. They all care about each other and try to protect each other.

Naru & Mei Narusegawa (Love Hina)

Mei misses Naru so much that she does everything she can to get her to return home, even trying to hook Keitaro up with Mutsumi.

Ryoko & Ryo-Ohki (Tenchi Muyo)

Both were creations by Washu, so that technically makes them sisters.

Maiku & Karen (Please Twins!)
Natsu and Zeref Dragneel (Fairy Tail)
Kohaku & Sango (InuYasha)

Their story touches me the most.

Marik, Ishizu & Odion Ishtar (Yu Gi Oh)
Sakura & Touya (Cardcaptor Sakura)

The love-hate relationship between Sakura and her brother is so hilarious to watch, especially when Touya always calls her "kaiju (monster)."

Even though Touya always teases her and is mean to her, deep down he actually loves her very much as a big brother. Sakura also loves her brother very much, no matter how much he likes to tease her on a daily basis.

Touya might be mean to his little sister, but deep down they both love each other.

Inuyasha & Sesshomaru (Inuyasha)
