Top 10 Adult Swim Shows

The Top Ten
  1. Rick and Morty

Rick and Morty is an American adult animated science fiction sitcom created by Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon for Adult Swim. These jokes aren't forced like in Family Guy. Don't get me wrong, I love Family Guy, but the jokes are random, forced, and boring most of the time. Family Guy is like boobs, dicks, sex, haha vagina, and some random actor. Rick and Morty has funnier voice-over work with much more accurate references to the real audience and the real world, not celebrity life.

Rick and Morty does have randomness, but it mixes it much better with improvisation and actual clever jokes. They use clever references and comments on society. That is why this show always trumps Family Guy.

How did Family Guy get more votes? Rick and Morty is mature funny. Family Guy makes fun of people. Rick and Morty is emotional in a good way. Family Guy hurts people, abuses them, and is just terrible!

    Vote for Rick and Morty!

Funny as hell, gets me rolling every time. My only real complaint is that some characters are unlikable and most of the barf jokes suck.

This is the show that truly pioneered Adult Swim and influenced almost every show on this channel. It's the very definition of low-budget animation, as characters often show little in the way of movement and expression, but it didn't need any of that.

Space Ghost managed to be the longest-running Adult Swim show so far and is incredibly funny and smart in its writing and smaller stories. The guest appearances are also some of the most hilarious moments, especially Busta Rhymes' appearance, which is my favorite by far. It definitely deserves to be in the top 5.

I LOVED this show as a kid. The juxtaposition of the live-action celebrities and the animated characters and the way they interact with each other is just hilarious.

Notable for being one of Adult Swim's original shows, The Venture Bros. came closest to making actual sense. This show takes the well-worn tropes of Johnny Quest and its ilk and adapts them for the snarkier audiences of today. It never goes in a predictable direction, making countless nostalgic and pop-cultural references while dealing with the hilarious theme of failure.
