Best Cities for a New Disney Park

If you worked for Disney, where would you suggest the next theme park location to be?

The Top Ten

1 Sydney

They should make a Flight of Passage-type attraction based on Rescuers Down Under if they ever build this! In addition to a clone of the Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage.

This should easily be at the top of the list! London is WAY too close to Paris.

Oh Hell Yeah! I live in Sydney so I'll be their everyday! - KingFab

This would be lit!

2 London London is the capital and most populous city of England and the United Kingdom. Standing on the River Thames in the south eastern part of the island of Great Britain, London has been a major settlement for two millennia.
3 Dubai

Who else wants to bet that their castle will be the palace from Aladdin?

They should build a clone of Sindbad's Storybook Voyage (from Tokyo DisneySea) here.

We need a Disneyland in the Middle East. Dubai is the safest place to build it.

4 Seoul Seoul – officially the Seoul Special City – is the capital and largest metropolis of the Republic of Korea, forming the heart of the Seoul Capital Area, which includes the surrounding Incheon metropolis and Gyeonggi province, the world's 14th largest city and second largest metropolitan area.
5 Copenhagen Copenhagen is the capital of the Kingdom of Denmark. At a population of 591,481 inhabitants as of January 2016, it is also the largest city in the country. It is located in the Hovedstaden region of Denmark and is home to the world famous Tivoli Gardens, one of the oldest operating amusement parks in more.
6 New York

They would tear down Central Park like they tore down an orange grove to make way for Disneyland.

They would take over Times Square and buy all the theaters in Broadway...

7 Singapore
8 Bangkok Bangkok is the capital and most populous city of Thailand. It is known in Thai as Krung Thep Maha Nakhon or simply Krung Thep.
9 Amsterdam
10 Berlin

The Contenders

11 São Paulo
12 Moscow
13 Rome
14 Chicago Chicago, officially the City of Chicago, is the third-most populous city in the United States. With over 2.7 million residents, it is also the most populous city in both the state of Illinois and the Midwestern United States. Chicago is considered one of the most important business centers in the world. more.
15 Oslo
16 Pyongyang Pyongyang or P'yŏngyang (평양시) is the capital and largest city of North Korea, or the Democratic People’s Republic Of Korea.

Their version of Mission: SPACE would be a convoluted nuking mission against the United States.

Hopefully Kim Jong-un doesn't nuke us all for suggesting this.

If Disneyland opened in North Korea, their rides would mostly be about their patriotism, including a simulation ride where you kill the “Yankee imperialists.” - JoeBoi

17 Long Beach

Disneyland is like 1/2 hr away

Uh, there’s already Disneyland around there. - JoeBoi

18 Tokyo Tokyo, officially Tokyo Metropolis, one of the 47 prefectures of Japan, has served as the Japanese capital since 1869. As of 2018, the Greater Tokyo Area ranked as the most populous metropolitan area in the world.

Tokyo has 2 Disney Parks, seriously I mean, one of them one prizes for being best theme park in the world - campbelln20

Tokyo already have a Disney park...

Already has a Disneyland, so take this off the list. - JoeBoi

19 Bergen
20 Las Vegas Las Vegas, officially the City of Las Vegas and often known simply as Vegas, is the 28th-most populated city in the United States, the most populated city in the state of Nevada, and the county seat of Clark County.

No. That would be stupid. A city notorious for it's casinos and strip clubs having a Disney Park? Besides, Disneyland is already a short drive away from there. - JoeBoi

-Disneyland is already a 4 hour drive from Vegas.
-The Disney characters that are at the strip get drunk. Little kids would be think the beer that they drink is the exact same potions that were in the Disney movies.
-I don’t think it’s a good idea for kids to see princesses pole dancing.
-Disney constantly buys everything. If they buy the LVCVA (Las Vegas Conventions and Visitors), Caesars Entertainment, and MGM Resorts), they may need to make room for not only the theme parks, but also the resort hotels. That’ll be a lot of casino implosions.

21 Paris Paris is the capital and most populous city of France, with an area of 105 square kilometres and an official estimated population of 2,140,526 residents as of 1 January 2019. Since the 17th century, Paris has been one of Europe's major centres of finance, diplomacy, commerce, fashion, science, and the more.

In all seriousness, though, Paris could really use a third gate that could potentially make up for all the embarrassing failures of Walt Disney Studios Paris.

Also already has a Disneyland. - JoeBoi

22 Detroit

Their Test Track would be pretty awesome and authentic if you think about it.

And just imagine what their Jungle Cruise would be like...

Maybe this could help their struggling economy.
