Top 10 Disney Sequels You Probably Didn't Know Existed

These are sequels that were actually made, but you’ve probably never heard of them. And for good reason.
The Top Ten
1 The Little Mermaid: Ariel's Beginning

This is technically a prequel, but I barely hear anyone ever talking about it. I’ve watched this a couple of times and I honestly don’t think it’s that bad. You wanna know why? Because they actually made Ariel a likeable character in this! It’s literally the only Little Mermaid related thing where Ariel isn’t terrible! Can you really say that she’s not likeable in this? Sure she’s acting rebellious towards her father by trying to bring music back to the kingdom, but she’s doing it for the good of the underwater citizens. Not for her own selfish reasons. I also like that Ariel’s much hotter sisters are included more. I honestly wish the first movie had just been about one of them. This prequel had no reason to exist, however. Also, the villain was very weak. I still thought this was an okay prequel. I actually like Ariel in this.

2 Pocahontas II: Journey to a New World

Not everyone knows that Pocahontas got a sequel and not a lot of people care to know since Pocahontas is a pretty hated movie. The sad thing is this sequel is actually better than the first movie. But that doesn’t mean it’s good. I thought John Rolfe was a much more interesting character than John Smith. Pocahontas and Rolfe being in a relationship is more historically accurate. There are also a lot more interesting things happening. My problem with the first one was that there wasn’t a lot that kept me invested. Seeing Pocahontas explore England is fascinating to watch. The sequel would’ve been much better if John Smith wasn’t in it. I absolutely hate him. I still think this is better than the original.

Well I kinda hate this sequel because it makes pocahontas like a cheater! disney how dare you! not trying to mean though but I hate the way that this princess has two love interests why?...belle is not a cheater, cinderella isn't too! but why disney? why?

3 Tarzan & Jane
4 Cinderella II - Dreams Come True

So bad! This and the third are so bad, the directors were so lazy when makingthe Cinderella movies, the third is the first all over agian and this doesn't even have a plot! It's just mices writing a book, that all it is! It also has a horrible message! Do not let your children watch this atrocity they call a "movie"!

Don't watch this. Watch Cinderella III instead. Or better yet, just the original.

5 Return to Never Land
6 Mulan II

Everyone who has seen this movie hates it and everyone who doesn’t say they hate it probably hasn’t seen it! This sequel was so bad I wanted to die! It has a 0% on Rotten Tomatoes which is way too nice! I was a huge fan of the first Mulan film! This was a complete insult! It’s almost as if the writers didn’t even watch the first movie! It completely misunderstands everything that made the original film so great! There is nothing good about this sequel! When it looked like Shang died, I didn’t even care! They try to make it look as emotional as possible, but this sequel made these characters so unlikeable that we don’t even care what happens to them! This is one of the worst animated films of all time! It’s also one of the worst sequels of all time! If you haven’t seen it, don’t! It’s atrocious!

7 Lilo & Stitch 2: Stitch Has a Glitch

People always talk about how great of a movie Lilo and Stitch is. What barely anyone talks about is Stitch Has a Glitch. First things first, I’m aware that this is directed by the same guy who directed the Emoji Movie. But despite that, I actually kind of enjoy this movie. Weird, right? I enjoyed a movie that was directed by the guy who would later direct the worst animated movie ever. It still manages to capture the charm that the original had. Lilo still really cares about Stitch. The ending was legitimately sad. They did an excellent job with that. I also like the humor. It’s just as good as the humor in the original. There are flaws, though. Why doesn’t Jumba want to tell anyone that Stitch is glitching? The only reason I can think of for that is just so it would cause an argument between Lilo and Stitch. They could’ve at least tried to explain. Not too many people know of the existence of this sequel, but I didn’t think it’s worth a watch.

Stitch Has a Glitch?

8 The Lion King II: Simba's Pride

This was really good in my opinion, way better than most direct-to-dvd movies.

9 The Fox and the Hound 2

A forgettable sequel to a forgettable movie! Actually, this is a midquel. It takes place in between the events of the first movie. Everything about it is stupid. As I was watching this. I kind of got reminded of Home on the Range. And since that’s my least favorite Disney movie, that’s a very bad thing! It’s an absolute insult to the intelligence of children! What does any of this have to do with the first movie? They go to a cheap looking circus and meet some other animals and they do a bunch of dumb things! This does not feel like a sequel to the Fox and the Hound! The animation is better than the first movie, but that’s about it. It is so awful! Fox and the Hound isn’t a great movie, but it deserves better than this!

10 Hercules: Zero to Hero
The Contenders
11 Bambi II

Bambi 2 seems to be the most eyebrow raise inducing sequel that I bring up. people always seem to go "there...there was a bambi 2? "

Never seen it, never heard of it

12 Leroy & Stitch

Stitch is cool!

13 The Return of Jafar
14 101 Dalmatians 2: Patch's London Adventure

I've seen this so many times, as it was good. It's not great, but it's good.
