Top 10 Disney Villains We Liked Better than the Hero

The Top Ten

1 Hades

Hades is by far the funniest Disney villain of all time. Even though he's miserable about his life, he has a sense of humor. Even when he's terrorizing people, he never fails to make us laugh.

I steal souls. Were you expecting flowers? More witty what Hercules says.

Hades is a comical hothead from Hercules , with a wonderful sense of humor , that really makes me laugh ! Hades is so hilarious in Hercules .

Don't ask why I don't know why but I like Hades better then Hercules whether it's Greek Mythology or a movie and I'm not saying Hercules is bad or anything he's not he's one of my favorite gods but I just prefer Hades over Hercules (and no that doesn't mean that Hades is my favorite cause that title belongs to the one and only Poseidon lol)

I love Hades we just got done watching hercules in English class and Hades was my favorite character in the whole movie he's evil and funny the best

2 Maleficent

If you weren't invited to a party you would feel bitter too. Like Scar, Maleficent carries out a successful scheme and even almost wins. Her 2014 live action movie adds a backstory that adds great qualities to her character.

They did not invite her because she places curses and is evil. Would you invite a serial killer to your baby's dedication? I don't think so.

I think she is way better than philip.

so much better then... I can't even think of her name so the princess in this movie.

Big Black Dragon

3 Captain Hook Captain James Hook is a fictional character, the antagonist of J. M. Barrie's play Peter Pan; or, the Boy Who Wouldn't Grow Up and its various adaptations, in which he is Peter Pan's archenemy.

You would be mad too if someone cut off your hand, fed it to the crocodile, and torments you every chance he gets. Peter Pan is a brat and kind of a jerk, even to the people he likes.

Cocky and cantankerous, this guy was fueled by Revenge and that always ends hillariously and VERY badly

4 Ursula Ursula is a fictional character who appears in Walt Disney Pictures' 28th animated feature film The Little Mermaid.

Ursula literally warns Ariel of the consequences of becoming a human, not that Ariel seemed to care. Ursula never lied to Ariel once. She's also of the sassiest Disney villains in Disney history.

Ursula is so amazing , so wonderful in the Little Mermaid , Ursula has theme song poor unfortunate souls [ which happens to be my favorite song] Ursula had warned Ariel about being a human , that she three days to tell prince Eric she loves him before sunset ! I really like Pat Carrol as Ursula very much , I think Ursula is the coolest with a great sense of humor

poor unfortunate soulssssss

she give me nightmares for years, true story.

5 Professor Ratigan
6 Dr. Facilier

I liked dr. facilier, he had some good songs to.

7 Yzma Yzma is the royal adviser of Emperor Kuzco in 'The Emperor's New Groove'. She is also a mad potions master and after being fired by Kuzco, she tries to use her potions to get rid of him and instate herself as empress.

I've never actually seem The Emperor's New Groove, but I hear she delivers some of the funniest lines and also has a funny sidekick so I had to put her on here.

Honestly probably one of my favorite Disney villains.

I thought her and Kronk were hilarious. Kuzco is kind of an egotistical douche.

She's a pscyho hot old woman

8 Scar Scar is the main antagonist of Disney's 1994 animated feature film, The Lion King. He was the second son of Ahadi and Uru — who were, at one time, King and Queen of the Pride Lands — the younger brother of Mufasa, and the uncle of Simba.

Scar is one of a few villains who plans and carries out a successful scheme. While he did kill Mufasa, his sarcasm and ability to deliver sinister lines in a hypnotic tone make him one of the best villains in Disney history. And he has arguably the catchiest villain song in Disney history.

Best villain ever. He set into motion a perfect, flawless and airtight plan. Not to mention he got the whole pride to follow him at least for awhile.

My favorite ever he's cool looking, evil, and smart

9 Jafar

He like scar after him had a perfect flawless plan that worked perfectly well. he just made ONE slight error and a Street rat capitolized on it

He worked hard to get to where he is, but the local thief tears it all away. There is a rumor that Jafar is actually the good guy. Also, Aladdin lied his way to Jasmine's heart soooo.

He's a lot more likeable than Aladdin

a little bit of a butt, but still good.

10 Syndrome Syndrome (born as Buddy Pine) is the primary antagonist in The Incredibles. He wanted to be super like the others, even though he had no powers. He was Mr. Incredible's #1 fan, and dubbed himself "Incrediboy," but he was rejected by Mr. Incredible. Angered after being refused, he developed an evil plan more.

Think about it. All he wanted as a kid was for Mr. Incredible, who was his idol, to notice him, but Mr. Incredible set him aside. He show us that even the smallest person can rescue themselves.

Love the story here , rejected by his hero so he became the enemy.

all he wanted to be was a hero, and mr. incredible would not let him be one, so now he is a villain, a funny one.

The Contenders

11 Horned King

Alright - this guy was awesome, just awesome.
Everything a villain should be.

12 Claude Frollo

Ask anyone who's watched the movie if they liked Frollo better than Quasimodo... Every sane person would say they definitely liked Quasimodo over Frollo. LIKE WHY WOULD YOU LIKE THIS DUDE... unless your an insane religious person with a twisted sense of morality you wouldn't like him. Although I do have to say he is a great villain, one of the best in movie history

Well, you can prefer Frollo over Quasimodo for a narrative purpose.

13 Gaston Gaston is a fictional character who appears in Walt Disney Pictures' 30th animated feature film Beauty and the Beast.

He might be egotistical and narcissistic, but he knows how to rally the village behind him. Belle, the girl he wants, has been kidnapped by the Beast, so he fights for what he loves which is a great quality. That of course didn't go very well.

An epic villain. he tried so much to get the girl he wanted and she kept turning him down, so in an ultimate act of Huberus he messed up and went after Beast only to plummet to his doom.

14 Edgar Balthazar

If there ever was a cool Villain type for me it would be the subtle snake of a villain like Edgar here. No one believed Edgar would try to hurt those kittens. it took a bunch of alley cats to show it.

15 Mother Gothel Mother Gothel is a fictional character who appears in Walt Disney Pictures' 50th animated feature film Tangled.

mother knows best

16 Chernabog Chernabog is a Disney villain from the 1940s film Fantasia, and in his segment, "A Night on Bald Mountain".

Needs to be number 1

17 Prince John

Prince John is actually one of my favorite villains, but he's not in the Top 5 because I like the other Robin Hood characters just the same. His immaturity and cowardly personality are what make him one of the funniest villains in Disney in what is in my opinion the most underrated Disney film. Just look at that image and it should be obvious that he's easily defeated.

Prince John the Lion has great sense of humor that makes me laugh when watch the cartoon Robin Hood one minute he is mean next minute he is hilarious , and he is the comical villain

Such a hilarious villain. you just say "prince John" I start cracking up and singing "The phony king of england"

18 Evil Queen

She’s much better than Snow White.

19 Randall Boggs Randall Boggs is a Pixar villain from both Monsters Inc and its prequel, Monsters University. He is voiced by Steve Buscemi, and has a reptilian appearance, with purple and blue scales and green eyes.

waaaaaay better than Wazowski or Sullivan. please tell me I'm not the only one who thinks that Randall is Monsters Inc's best character.

Opinion respected, because I think he is way cool, but actually Boo probably makes me laugh the most.

20 Hopper
21 Ernesto de la Cruz

Good looking, smart, famous. Why is he the bad guy?

22 Lady Tremaine
23 Queen of Hearts The Queen of Hearts is a character from the book Alice's Adventures in Wonderland by the writer and mathematician Lewis Carroll.
24 Prince Hans Prince Hans of the Southern Isles, also known as Hans Westergaard, is a fictional character from Walt Disney Animation Studios' 53rd animated film, Frozen.
