Top 10 Disney Villains We Liked Better than the Hero
Hades is by far the funniest Disney villain of all time. Even though he's miserable about his life, he has a sense of humor. Even when he's terrorizing people, he never fails to make us laugh.
Hades is a comical hothead from Hercules, with a wonderful sense of humor, that really makes me laugh! Hades is so hilarious in Hercules.
Hades is the best. My brother dressed up as him last year on Halloween. "I haven't been this choked up since I got a hunk of Misaka caught in my throat! Ha?!"
I don't even see how he's a bad guy. Sure, he looks scary (aren't movies supposed to show how the way you look doesn't matter?), but literally all he does is play with ghosts.
The 2014 movie really puts things in perspective. Spydyr, it is never actually proven that she was evil and placed curses before the movie or that she killed people. It could have been a case of discrimination for all you know! Shame on you.
If you weren't invited to a party, you would feel bitter too. Like Scar, Maleficent carries out a successful scheme and even almost wins. Her 2014 live-action movie adds a backstory that adds great qualities to her character.
Of course, it's hard not to like Maleficent better than Aurora.
Did y'all know that Peter Pan was originally supposed to be the villain? Also, in the movie, he acts like a cocky ass, and in the book, he acts the same way but worse, steals other people's ideas, and it's even implied that he kills the children when they grow up.
You would be mad too if someone cut off your hand, fed it to the crocodile, and tormented you every chance he gets. Peter Pan is a brat and kind of a jerk, even to the people he likes.
I actually feel bad for him and felt he should've been the hero.
Yes, I hate Disney villains, but sometimes their songs get to me, and I can't stop singing along. I love how Scar has so much feeling when he sings "Be Prepared." Whenever this song comes on Disney's radio, I sing like there's no tomorrow! Scar was also very successful ruling the Pride Lands for many years.
Scar's evil transformation (watch the first episode of The Lion Guard, Season 3 to see how) happened when he was the leader of the Lion Guard. There was a lion in the Outlands. At first, Scar trusted him, but then a snake came out of nowhere and scarred his face. He killed the lion, and when he came back and showed he killed the lion, Mufasa just laughed and nicknamed him Scar. That's how he wanted his revenge on Mufasa and killed him, along with the fact he wanted to be king.
Scar is my all-time favorite villain, and he shouldn't have been killed by fire or hyenas. He should have gotten a really bad punishment instead of being killed. RIP Scar.
He worked hard to get to where he is, but the local thief tears it all away. There is a rumor that Jafar is actually the good guy. Also, Aladdin lied his way to Jasmine's heart, so...
He's like Scar. After him, he had a flawless plan that worked perfectly well. He just made one slight error, and a street rat capitalized on it.
I've never actually seen The Emperor's New Groove, but I hear she delivers some of the funniest lines and also has a funny sidekick, so I had to put her on here.
Honestly, probably one of my favorite Disney villains.
At the start of the movie, Kuzco wasn't a nice person by any means.
He is the smartest Disney villain and came closest to winning.
I don't know why, maybe it's because of his amazing performance and confrontation with Santa, but Oogie Boogie has to arguably be the best Nightmare Before Christmas character out there. His character's death was very well made for stop-motion animation. Go Oogie!
Ursula literally warns Ariel of the consequences of becoming a human, not that Ariel seemed to care. Ursula never lied to Ariel once. She's also one of the sassiest Disney villains in Disney history.
Ursula is so amazing and so wonderful in The Little Mermaid. Ursula's theme song, Poor Unfortunate Souls, happens to be my favorite song. Ursula warned Ariel about becoming a human, telling her she had three days to tell Prince Eric she loves him before sunset! I really like Pat Carroll as Ursula very much. I think Ursula is the coolest with a great sense of humor.
If there ever was a cool villain type for me, it would be the subtle snake of a villain like Edgar here. No one believed Edgar would try to hurt those kittens. It took a bunch of alley cats to show it.
I feel bad. He had to do so much work for years, and then some crazy lady decided that the money he earned should go to her cats instead.
I would try to get rid of those cats too. He worked his butt off for years and got nothing in return.
He might be egotistical and narcissistic, but he knows how to rally the village behind him. Belle, the girl he wants, has been kidnapped by the Beast, so he fights for what he loves, which is a great quality. That, of course, didn't go very well.
An epic villain. He tried so much to get the girl he wanted, and she kept turning him down. So, in an ultimate act of hubris, he messed up and went after Beast, only to plummet to his doom.
Think about it. All he wanted as a kid was for Mr. Incredible, who was his idol, to notice him, but Mr. Incredible set him aside. He shows us that even the smallest person can rescue themselves.
Love the story here. Rejected by his hero, so he became the enemy.
If Syndrome got away with Jack-Jack:
S: Alright, bust down Mr. Incredible!
JJ: *uses all of his powers and spits at Syndrome*
S: Alright, I'm taking you back.
She's much better than Snow White.
She looks prettier than Snow. My sisters think I look like Snow White (I am so embarrassed).
Dr. Facilier wasn't evil. Prince Naveen was a spoiled little brat, and he decided to teach him a lesson. They should be grateful. It was Naveen, not Facilier, who convinced Tiana to kiss Naveen so he could turn into a human again. (Spoiler: It doesn't work, thank God.) His methods may have been questionable, but he had a good mind in the grand scheme of things.
If I got adopted by Dr. Facilier, I would be extremely happy. Plus, he did not really lie.
This dude is insane. I mean, his friends are cursed spirits!
He was mad at Sully because Sully made him lose his chance of being respected. He was never really evil. Instead of listening to his side of the story or trying to change his mind, everyone just saw him as a bad guy. He was really just trying to protect everyone from humans! Like all monsters there, Randall thought humans were bad. (Mike and Sully thought humans were bad too.)
After meeting Boo, Mike and Sully realized that humans weren't as bad as they thought. They tried to prove to everyone that humans weren't bad except Randall. We could have avoided the whole thing if Mike and Sully had just listened to what Randall had to say.
If Gothel was actually Rapunzel's mom:
Flynn: Nice to meet you...
Gothel: You better not hurt her!
Rapunzel: Mom, no killing.
Gothel: Alright, flower.
I believe they're removing Mushu from the live-action! This is disappointing.
Prince John is actually one of my favorite villains, but he's not in the Top 5 because I like the other Robin Hood characters just the same. His immaturity and cowardly personality are what make him one of the funniest villains in Disney, in what is, in my opinion, the most underrated Disney film. Just look at that image, and it should be obvious that he's easily defeated.
Such a hilarious villain. You just say "Prince John," and I start cracking up and singing "The Phony King of England."
Prince John the Lion has a great sense of humor that makes me laugh when I watch the cartoon Robin Hood. One minute he is mean, and the next minute he is hilarious. He is the comical villain.
Don't forget he stole his best friend's art, murdered said best friend in cold blood, and almost threw a child to his death.
Good looking, smart, famous. Why is he the bad guy?
Me: Can I punch you?
Evelyn: No.
Me: Fine, then I will go get Elastigirl to save me from you.
Evelyn: How hard did you want to punch me?
