Top 10 Fictional Heroes Who Would Be Nothing Without Their Villains

Heroes in fiction are great in all but in actuality a hero is nothing without their villains heck without their villains they wouldn't even be heroes in the first place and without a great antagonist great rivalries don't exists so for this list we will be looking at the greatest fictional heroes who for the most part would not be heroes at all if they didn't have their villains.
The Top Ten
1 Mario - Super Mario Bros Mario, originally named Jumpman, is the main character of the Super Mario Bros. franchise, created by the creative director and video game designer at Nintendo of Japan, Shigeru Miyamoto. Mario has appeared in almost every Mario game, including games in spin-off series as a playable character, with few exceptions including New Super Luigi U, Luigi's Mansion games, Yoshi's Island games, and similar counterparts. He is the most iconic character in video game history and is Nintendo's unofficial mascot. His franchise has grown to be the most successful video game franchise of all time.

If Mario didn't have Bowser to kidnap Princess Peach all the time he would probably still be stuck in his day job as a plumber instead of the hero he is today.

2 Link - Legend of Zelda Link refers to several different incarnations of the same protagonist of Nintendo's The Legend of Zelda series.

Link would just be another kid in green tights if he didn't the likes of Ganon to cause trouble in Hyrule.

3 Batman - Batman Batman aka Bruce Wayne is a fictional superhero appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics. The character was created by artist Bob Kane and writer Bill Finger, and first appeared in Detective Comics #27. In film, he has been portrayed by Lewis Wilson, Robert Lowery, Adam West, Michael Keaton, Val Kilmer, George Clooney, Christian Bale and Ben Affleck. He has been voiced by a variety of voice actors, including Olan Soule, Kevin Conroy, Rino Romano, Diedrich Bader, and Jason O'Mara.

Lets be honest would Batman even be the hero he is today if he didn't have Mr. Freeze, The Penguin, Killer Croc, Two Face, and the most important one of all The Joker.

I dunno, I really like his character, but his rogues gallery is one that no superhero can come close to. Even Spider-Man.

4 Sonic The Hedgehog - Sonic The Hedgehog Sonic the Hedgehog, trademarked Sonic The Hedgehog, is the title character and protagonist of the Sonic the Hedgehog series released by SEGA, as well as numerous spin-off comics, five animated shows, and an animated OVA.

He can still run fast, but he would basically just be a one trick pony without Robotnik.

5 Goku - Dragon Ball Z Son Goku (Kakarrot) is the main protagonist in Dragon Ball franchise created by Akira Toriyama in 1984. He has many abilities like, super strength, utilization of ki, flight, teleportation, super speed, enhanced reflexes, and Super Saiyan transformation that increase strength, speed, and durability. His real name was suppose to be Kakarrot because that's his Saiyan name, and he is the son of Badrock, and Gina. His brother was Raditz. When they sent Goku (Kakarrot) to Earth his grandfather Gohan took care of him. Later on Goku didn't realize it when he was a kid, but he killed his grandfather Gohan because it was a full moon, and Goku looked at it, so he turned into a giant ape.

Goku would not be the strong fighter he is if it wasn't for his battles with the likes of Vegeta, Frieza, Cell and many others.

6 Samurai Jack - Samurai Jack "Jack" (also known as Samurai Jack or simply The Samurai) is the alias taken by a Japanese warrior (with an unknown birth name) who acts as the titular protagonist of the cartoon Samurai Jack. Throughout the series, he is voiced by Phil LaMarr.
7 Lui Kang - Mortal Kombat

He may be earthrealms champion but he would have been if he had not defeated the likes of Shang Tsung, Goro, Motaro and Shao Khan.

8 Blossom - Powerpuff Girls Blossom is the leader of The Powerpuff Girls and one of the three main protaganists of the show. She was created in 1992 by Craig McCracken. She has long, red hair up in a ponytail with a giant red bow, pink eyes, pink dress with black belt, and white socks with Mary Jane shoes. She is intelligent, girly, and strong. She is known as the "commander and leader" as well as the "smart" one. She mostly does things right, but she does make mistakes. She may be bossy or full of herself, but she is overall the leader with all the good plans and the brains for the group.

Not just Blossom but all of the girls wouldn't be heroes if it weren't for the likes of Mojo Jojo, Him. The Gang Green Gang, Fuzzy Lumpkins etc.

9 Nanoha Takamachi - Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha
10 Wolverine - X-Men Wolverine is a fictional character appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics, commonly associated with the X-Men. His powers and abilities include a healing factor and his signature adamantium claws and adamantium skeleton.
