Top 10 Funniest Characters from Pixar Movies

The Top Ten
1 Dory (Finding Nemo) Dory is a major character from the film, Finding Nemo and its sequel, Finding Dory. She is a blue tang known for her short-term memory loss and tends to forget almost everything, even the fish that she knows personally. This makes the mission to find Nemo even more difficult for Marlin.

Dory is definitely the funniest character in the movie! To be honest, I think she's the funniest Pixar character of all time. She makes the funniest jokes throughout the whole movie. The parts where she's trying to speak "whalish" are hilarious, and Marlin gets so easily triggered by her that it's really funny! While I think her character went downhill in Finding Dory, she still had some funny moments there too. The best part about her is that she isn't afraid of anything in the movie. For instance, when Bruce the shark appears on screen, Marlin is the only one of the two to actually be scared. You see, Dory is so funny that she isn't afraid of anything!

I would list all the funny lines Dory has in Finding Nemo and Finding Dory, but I really don't want to fill up the page.

2 Buzz Lightyear (Toy Story) Buzz Lightyear is a fictional character in the Toy Story franchise. He is a toy space ranger hero according to the movies and action figure in the Toy Story franchise. In 2022, Buzz served as the central character of the film Lightyear. He is voiced by Tim Allen in the Toy Story films, and is voiced by Chris Evans in Lightyear.

Yeah! Of course, I would add him to the list. He is just too funny to dislike. A fun fact is that when I was two years old, I was super scared of him because of the opening scene in Toy Story 2, weirdly. But anyway, we're talking about how funny he is. So, in the first Toy Story movie, he believes that he is an actual space ranger and acts like an idiot, talking about his "past adventures." Woody constantly tries to prove he is a toy. These scenes are just so funny because Buzz always tries to find a way to "prove he is a space ranger." He is just so hilarious! And in Toy Story 3, where he constantly speaks Spanish, it's just so hilarious!

You are a sad, strange little man. And you have my pity.

3 Anger (Inside Out)

Fun fact: Inside Out is the only Pixar movie with swearing in it, and Anger is the character that swears in the movie. Now, he does only swear one time, but he seems to always beg to swear. He's so funny! The looks he makes at times are hilarious, and the moment at the end when he is jealous of Disgust is hilarious!

"Congratulations, San Francisco. You've ruined pizza. First the Hawaiians, and now you."

4 Hector (Coco)

"You know what? I'm just going to zip right over. You won't even know I'm gone. *Makes a run for it*." That's our amigo, Hector.

Charming trickster Hector! Yeah! I loved him right out of the trailers!

5 Bruce (Finding Nemo)

I don't know how he is in the English version, but he is hilarious in the Swedish version. He talks so funny and is a giant! He invites Dory and Marlin to a party, but it ends up being a disaster when he smells blood. He also makes a The Shining reference in the movie! Overall, he is hilarious!

I only noticed a couple of years ago that the shark meeting in Finding Nemo is supposed to be like an AA meeting. Pixar, you sly dog.

6 Woody (Toy Story) Sheriff Woody Pride is a fictional character in the Toy Story franchise. He is voiced by Tom Hanks in all of the feature-length and short films and by Jim Hanks in video games and shorts. He is a stuffed cowboy character that leads the other toys in adventures in the movies. His facial features are based on Tone Thyne, an animator for Disney at the time.

"YOU, ARE, A, TOY!" One of the best Pixar quotes of all time, made by this guy! Now, Woody isn't as cool or funny as Buzz Lightyear, but he is cool and funny enough to be in the top ten. He has some of the best lines in the first movie and, sadly, went from funny to serious in the sequels. But he was still funny in the first movie!

7 Dug (Up) Dug is one of the two tritagonists of Disney/Pixar's 2009 film, Up. He also appears in Dug's Special Mission as the protagonist and in George & A.J. as a minor character.

Dug is so sadly underrated. He talks fast and brightens up the whole film. Dug puts a whole new look on the talking dog concept, and this concept would actually make sense if we were that smart. My favorite scenes with him are when he's running around like a complete nut and yelling for squirrels (get the pun?).

8 Mater (Cars) Tow Mater, or simply Mater, is a character in Cars and its sequels, Cars 2 and Cars 3 as well as Cars Toons. He is voiced by Larry the Cable Guy and inspired by a 1951 International Harvester tow truck.

Sometimes he's hilarious, but in Cars 2, I found him annoying for what seemed like 90% of the scenes he was in.

He was quite annoying in Cars 2, but I found him funny in Cars 1 and 3. He was probably the funniest in Cars 3.

He brightened up Cars and Cars 3 and made up the whole masterpiece called Cars 2!

9 Edna Mode (The Incredibles) Edna Mode is a fictional character from Pixar's Incredibles Franchise. She is a well-known suit designer for super heroes of all kind. She has a slightly spunky attitude and firmly believes that your costume should be powerful, while still looking good.
10 Francis (A Bug's Life)

Everyone in the movie mistakes him for a girl. He is just hilarious! He looks like a princess of beauty but is actually an arrogant male "ladybug." Everything he does is just hilarious!

The Contenders
11 Bailey (Finding Dory)

I love this guy! I don't know why people hate him!

12 Rex (Toy Story)

How was he not on here? He should be number 1!

I am so glad that you are not a dinosaur.

13 Russell (Up)

He's really funny and actually lightens up the whole movie like Dug. Up is such a good movie in general, to me though.

14 Chef Skinner (Ratatouille)

You gotta admit, out of all the Pixar villains, this one is the funniest. Heck, to me, I don't even think he's evil.

The most hilarious Pixar villain!

15 Syndrome (The Incredibles) Syndrome (born as Buddy Pine) is the primary antagonist in The Incredibles. He wanted to be super like the others, even though he had no powers. He was Mr. Incredible's #1 fan, and dubbed himself "Incrediboy," but he was rejected by Mr. Incredible. Angered after being refused, he developed an evil plan for revenge. Despite not having any super powers, he is extremely intelligent and creates state-of-the-art... read more
16 Forrest Woodbush (The Good Dinosaur)

I can't describe how funny and underrated this guy is. He is only on screen for like two minutes, but he was funny enough! He talks so slowly and is actually funny (unlike the sloths in Zootopia). "This, is, blablabla. He/She protects me from blablabla." I love this guy!

17 Fear (Inside Out)

He was very hilarious at parts of the movie.

18 Marlin (Finding Nemo)

Ok, yes, a very serious guy in the movie, but just like Hank the Octopus, he can be hilarious at times!

19 Roz (Monsters, Inc.)
20 Bob Parr (Incredibles 2) Robert "Bob" Parr, also known as Mr. Incredible, is the protagonist of The Incredibles and is the deuteragonist of Incredibles 2. He is voiced by Craig T. Nelson.
21 Mike Wazowski (Monster Inc.) Michael Wazowski also known as Mike, is a main character in Monsters, Inc. and the main character of its prequel Monsters University. He is a lime green spherical monster with one large green eye, two small horns on his head, and thin arms and legs attached to either side of his torso. He is voiced by Billy Crystal.
22 Sid Phillips (Toy Story) Sid Phillips is a fictional character in the Toy Story franchise. He serves as the primary antagonist of the original Toy Story film.
23 Chick Hicks (Cars)
24 Hank the Octopus (Finding Dory)

Ok, Hank is a very serious guy in the movie, but sometimes he is hilarious!

25 Hamm (Toy Story) Hamm is a supporting character in the Toy Story franchise. He is a wisecracking plastic piggy bank with a cork in his belly. Hamm is voiced by John Ratzenberger.
