His best year as a Net was the 1971-72 season, that season he led the ABA in scoring (31.5 points per game) and once again led the ABA in free throw percentage and the Nets we're back in the playoffs. This time the Nets surprise the basketball world by beating the Kentucky Colonels in 6 games, another great Nets moment.
