Top 10 Best Male K-Pop Dancers
You've seen their slick moves on stage, their charismatic energy in music videos, and maybe even their killer freestyle battles on social media. You might have even found yourself trying (and failing) to replicate their smooth footwork or gravity-defying leaps in your own living room. There's no denying it, the world of K-pop is overflowing with incredible dancers who can make you stop scrolling and stare in awe.
But who takes the crown? Who are the guys that make fans scream the loudest, the choreography look effortless, and the music come alive?

Ten (NCT)
Ten is like no one I have seen before. He has his own unique style that makes him stand out wherever he goes. His dance is sensuous. His lines are both sharp and fluid at the same time. His expression is also no joke.
When he dances, it's as if he's in a trance. If you rewatch Ten's dancing again and again, like me, you will surely notice how ridiculously detailed his dance is. Every part of his body, from top to toe and torso to the tips of his fingers, is under his control.
As Sentimentally once said: This boy dances like a butterfly flies.
Highly recommended:
- Dream In A Dream (SM Station)
- Hit The Stage: Devil Theme (indeed, all episodes are recommended)
- Switch (Ten's focus)
- 0701 srb15 Dance Practice (He is the one wearing number 66 sweatpants)
-
Taemin (SHINee)
He has been so skilled for years, but he continues to add even more skills and dance styles. People say he has such a pretty face and is super shy and cute, which mostly aligns with how he is off stage.
Onstage, he turns into a completely different person with his dancing and concentration on the performance. What is most astonishing is that he has always been like this. Ever since he was 14 years old, his attitude changed the moment he started dancing, and that is why I never doubt that when he performs, it will always be good.
This is because he is a performer who genuinely cares and feels for what he brings to the audience.
-
J-Hope (BTS)
True to his street dance roots, J-Hope displays a lot of power and conviction in his movements. He is extremely versatile in the genres of dance he is able to execute, especially hip-hop and popping.
Though he has displayed his ability to do street jazz and waacking in a more informal setting, he carries out BTS' choreography with outstanding precision and energy, making him stand out in the group.
Based on his freestyle and dance battle videos, it's clear to see that he is rather limited by his group's choreography, though it is not easy at all. He definitely has the potential and ability to deliver more advanced dances. I hope he continues to expand and grow as a dancer instead of only focusing on group choreography.
His technique and expression really do shine through, and it's been a while since I've been so impressed by a K-pop dancer!
-
Kai (EXO)
I could watch him dance for hours and never get bored. The fire in his eyes when he dances. How he suddenly breaks out into a huge grin in the middle of the choreography. It all shows how much he loves dance. Heck, he started dancing when he was 8.
Dude, when I was 8, I was out of my mind running around in the playground. He's so talented. That confidence, that hint of arrogance when he dances, made him stand out from 11 other gorgeous boys even when he was a rookie. Kai is the most amazing dancer I've ever seen.
The best dancer I have seen so far. The passion in his eyes is so obvious. What makes him better than other dancers is his expressions.
They are perfectly timed and beautifully delivered. His body moves and shakes are so smooth, yet strong. He is by far the most sensational dancer.
And as if this were not enough, look at his face and gorgeous body. How do you ever match that?
-
Hoya (INFINITE)
Hoya is a strong, powerful, and cool guy with very strong yet swift moves. He is no doubt the dancing machine in Infinite, but I believe he is more than just that.
He can also sing and rap really well, and with his dancing skills and talent, there's more to him than meets the eye! Hoya is a really powerful and talented K-pop star who has a bright future ahead of him, and he can achieve whatever he wants to with his strong will and determination.
Hoya can dance like no other. He just makes you stop and look at him. When you watch an Infinite performance for the first time, he will get you hooked, and you will end up liking the group. He has worked really hard on his dancing, and his stage presence shows this.
My personal view is that Hoya is the best male dancer in K-pop that I have ever seen.
-
Kikwang (BEAST)
Kikwang is the best dancer. I hope I can dance like him one day. I love dancing. Kikwang is like the most important member in his group because their music video would not be complete without dancing.
Right, I hope that Kikwang won't be separated from his group. At least I have listened to their new song that they sang together, and also danced together. Go, go Kikwang and Beast! Next time, I want Kikwang in first place. I admire his dancing skills very much. He is my idol.
Cute, innocent, and amazing guy. The way he moves - I just love it. He is super sexy.
-
Lay (EXO)
Zhang Yixing, better known as Lay, is a Chinese singer-songwriter, record producer, author, dancer, and actor. He is a member of the South Korean-Chinese boy group EXO and its sub-unit EXO-M. Lay has pursued a successful solo career in China and is also active in acting and television.
I know he's the most underrated idol in K-pop, but that doesn't mean we have to close our eyes to the fact that he is the best dancer in K-pop, even way better than Ten. Don't get me wrong, I'm Ten-biased. I love him the most. But the truth must be said: he's definitely second, but he can't surpass Lay.
That guy is just on a whole another level of perfection. I can't even deal with people who say Kai is better than Lay. Come on, for God's sake.
When I was watching one of his videos, I thought my phone was lagging or having some problems. But I suddenly realized that it was Lay's movement. He's the best in locking, popping, and timing. He can easily connect the song to his body movements.
Thumbs up! Such a great dancer! And he's really the little pride of Changsha.
-
Hyunseung (BEAST)
Hyunseung dances in his unique way, like no one else! To me, he's the best dancer in Beast.
He's underrated! He's a great dancer and different from the rest. Plus, he can sing!
At first, when I knew him in BigBang, he was really soulless in dance. But now he has improved a lot, and he dances great.
-
Eunhyuk (Super Junior)
Lee Hyuk-jae, better known by his stage name Eunhyuk, is a South Korean singer-songwriter, rapper, dancer, actor, and television host. He is best known as a member of the boy band Super Junior. Eunhyuk has also participated in several of the group's sub-units and appeared on various South Korean television... read more
Eunhyuk's dance moves are full of emotion. He plays a vital role in making the stage, with or without Super Junior, charismatic. No one really realizes this because he usually shows his funny side when dancing, since Super Junior is well-known for their variety skills. If you see his solos, you'll see how much talent Eunhyuk has.
Eunhyuk will always be the dance king. Furthermore, through his activity as Super Junior-D&E, you can see his charismatic dance moves and his greatly improved vocals. Love you always, Eunhyuk.
I love Eunhyuk oppa. He is the best dancer, and I never get tired of watching him dance. Keep it up, oppa! I love you, oppa!
-
Taeyang (BIGBANG)
When he is dancing on stage, it makes me proud as a new fan because I really liked the way he made that move in his music video VIBE with Jimin. Taeyang is really talented and hardworking. I just love everything about him. He is also a great entertainer to watch.
I'm new to Taeyang and BIGBANG. I'm from Auckland, New Zealand, and I'm 21 years old. I'm a big K-pop fan because I just love it. Being a K-pop fan is a big part of my life.
I am looking forward to moving to South Korea to attend school there in 2026. I might even try to get a job as a trainee at SM Entertainment or YG Entertainment once I'm there. I don't know if I'll get in, but maybe someday I will.
By the way, my name is Erica Aii.

Kim Hyun-joong (SS501)
Kim Hyun-Joong (Korean: 김현중, Hanja: 金賢重, born June 6, 1986) is a South Korean entertainer, actor, singer, songwriter, and dancer. He is the leader and main rapper of the boy band SS501.

His dance moves and beautiful aesthetics require a lot of work. Every movement of his body cuts through the air, leaving a glowing trail. Incredibly powerful energy emanates from this man with extraordinary talent.
Great dancer and singer. Such energy comes from this talented guy!

Jimin (BTS)
Park Ji-min, known mononymously as Jimin, is a South Korean singer, dancer, and songwriter. He is a member of the globally successful boy band BTS, which debuted in 2013 under Big Hit Entertainment. Jimin is recognized for his vocal ability, dance performances, and contributions to the group's music.... read more
All K-pop idols are trained in dance before being launched, but very few are naturally born dancers. For me, every movement a natural makes is a dance. The way they walk, sit, or pose looks like they are dancing. They are in dance mode 24/7. They are also masters of their bodies.
For any movement, every single part of their bodies is at the best angle and makes beautiful lines. This is what I observe with Jimin and SHINee's Taemin. They both move gracefully, their steps are never heavy, and when they dance, it's dancing from head to toe.
The way they execute dance steps can't be learned because I think they were born with those skills.
Jimin is one of the most talented dancers I've seen in K-pop. Sure, he may not be the lead dancer in BTS, but he can really dance. His dancing is something different, and I like different.
He studied modern dance for only two years yet was admitted to a university as a top student for it. After seeing his dancing in his song "Lie," I can say that while many people value controlled movements, he radiates as a natural dancer. His dancing is not just hip-hop or just modern dance, but rather something that expresses who he is. His execution of steps is natural, and it's a mix of steps and styles, not just one.
And his stage presence when he dances is incredible. I see Jungkook's name much higher on the list, but in my opinion, there is no way he can beat Jimin in terms of dancing. Jimin is a dancer who would catch your eye while performing, and for an artist, that also matters a lot. No matter what sort of dance, his charisma adds to how amazing it is.
-
Wooyoung (2PM)
Easily one of the best in the industry, not just in K-pop. Being a dancer myself, I can tell.
He came first in his audition for JYP! What does that say about his dancing? Not to mention his singing?
-
Jay Park (2PM)
Jay Park is an all-rounded dancer with great flow and precise movements. Although his specialty is b-boying, he can move along with the beat and continue to deliver an amazing performance.
I can't believe he is ranked so low. He could beat all of these main dancers in a one-on-one battle. Seriously?
Love the way he dances! He definitely needs to be up there, maybe in 2nd place!
-
Rain (SSAK3)
Definitely the sexiest dancer. He also includes many Latin dance moves, which I do not see in other dancers. He never stops moving, compared to other dancers who look like they are doing a string of choreographed poses.
Bi is very manly, slick, and professional. Sexy voice and body as well. He makes the top two dancers on this list look like little boys.
THE KING OF K-POP. For me, he should be right at the top. The man has got crazy dancing skills. All these young guys have grown up watching him dance. He is incredible.
He is the man in the sea of boys - nobody can own the stage like Rain. He has got amazing stage presence. Love you, Rain.
-
U-Know Yunho (TVXQ)
WHAT!?!?! How is Yunho not in the TOP 5? He's acknowledged in the TOP 3 K-Pop dancers in the industry by everyone in Korea, and he's the only Asian dancer or performer who got invited to Michael Jackson's tribute concert in 2010. He's even been named the "K-pop's dancing king" by critics! That's a fact!
How the heck is he ranked this low?!?!? He got into the industry by dancing in a competition! This is a "little" upsetting, considering he's better than the newbies listed above him...
I am so surprised that he's not number one! Where are all the Cassies? We all know that he's the best, especially when dancing with his SM juniors who are at the top of the list, he stands out. No hate, Wow!
Kai is so good, and so is Taemin (his popping: astonished) and of course, my Eunhyukkie oppa. All the oppas are good, but U-Know oppa!
-
Jongup (B.A.P)
Jongup should definitely be at the top of the list. His dancing skills are just plain amazing, and he just stands out during the dances. It is a shame that he gets basically zero attention. It hurts to see my bias not getting the attention he deserves.
This guy is seriously good. Too bad that he gets almost zero attention, especially from TS.
He's as good, if not better, than the top five on this list. Shout out to Zelo too. I don't think he's better than Jongup, but he certainly should be higher than number 14.
-
Jungkook (BTS)
Jeon Jungkook was born on September 1, 1997, in Busan, South Korea. He is a singer, songwriter, dancer, composer, and producer, and is best known as the youngest member of BTS, a global K-pop sensation.
Jungkook's favorite number is 1, and his favorite colors include red, black, and white. He... read more
Jungkook is the best dancer I have seen in a long time. He puts hours into practicing to make sure everything is just right. His precise skills and dedication shine when he's performing.
I also love how talented he is at switching from a fast and upbeat song to something calmer, perfecting both. For example, Dionysus is a super fast and upbeat song that has tons of difficult moves within it. He can switch from that to his solo Save Me intro, which is a slower song compared to Dionysus. However, he puts all of his beautiful skills into it and makes it so angelic.
His skills really are breathtaking!
Jungkook dances differently from the rest of the K-pop artists, with his strong, sharp, and sexy moves. No one can compare when it comes to having the alpha male vibes, not even his BTS teammates!
-
Zelo (B.A.P)
Choi Jun-hong, better known by his stage name Zelo, is a South Korean rapper and dancer. He gained fame as a member of the boy group B.A.P, which debuted in 2012. Zelo was known for his fast rapping style and charismatic stage performances.
Zelo can do the hardest dance moves. Wow, he is really talented!
His moment in the 'One Shot' MV. Enough said.
-
Sehun (EXO)
Oh Se-hun, better known mononymously as Sehun, is a South Korean dancer, rapper, singer, model, and actor. He is a member of the South Korean-Chinese boy group Exo and its sub-group Exo-K. Sehun has also appeared in television dramas and films, expanding his career into acting.
Honestly, Sehun's dancing skill has improved a lot compared to before. Some K-pop fans have even named him "The 2nd son of Michael Jackson." He has also given many powerful dance breaks during award shows. So, in my opinion, he is the best.
I like watching him better than Kai. He's more technically sound. He's smooth, intense, and interesting to watch. I wish he were in the middle more.
He is the best. Sometimes their best dancer, Kai, is overreacting. Why is it that most of the time, the youngest members from boy groups are the best ones? So, Sehun is the best.
-
Minwoo (Boyfriend)
He's very cute and, at the same time, super cool at dancing! Big applause for you, Minwoo!
Minwoo has the cutest voice, and the way he dances inspired me to dance again.
-
Yugyeom (GOT7)
He won Hit the Stage! He is such a skilled dancer and should be ranked higher on that list. He should at least be 5th. He showcased three different dancing styles on Hit the Stage and choreographed some of GOT7's title tracks all by himself.
You can see his emotions and charisma when he dances, both through his moves and expressions. His body is completely in sync with the rest of the dancers and members, as well as the music. People are too biased when it comes to groups and talent. Your favorite artist might be good at dancing, but being naturally gifted is different. Yugyeom's dancing is flawless, natural, and really mesmerizing.
-
Changjo (Teen Top)
Despite debuting at a young age, he is so talented, especially his dancing skills. They're so awesome, so perfect. Changjo oppa, keep up the good work. Keep fighting!
I love Teen Top because they seem underrated in K-pop. Changjo is an amazing dancer, and his skills have only improved over the years. Teen Top, keep fighting!
-
Hoshi (SEVENTEEN)
His choreographies are beautiful and powerful. They suit and highlight the strengths of the other dancers as well as himself. He makes sure that everyone shines. Also, he is very expressive and creative. You can see that with his No. F.U.N dance and utilizing the umbrella, and you can see emotion in his MAMA performance when his expression changes quickly and his sharp dance moves.
He is full of energy, and his talent should be recognized more!
Honestly, Hoshi is why I got into Seventeen. He's such an amazing dancer and even choreographs all of Seventeen's title songs, as well as taking part in the creation of all their dances. What a king!
-
Xiumin (EXO)
Xiumin is completely underrated, but if you take a look at him, his dancing is amazing, the best in EXO-M, in my opinion. His angles are perfect, and his moves are smooth. Sadly, he is unable to be the lead dancer because of his build, which he can't change. So please vote for Xiumin!
