Top Ten Things that Will Be Dead or Irrelevant by 2030
Things change. In 10 years, many things of today will die or become irrelevant to the point where nobody uses it. Some of these things are already near-dead, others are still popular today, but not for long.Facebook itself has kinda been on a decline since maybe 2013? Kids today prefer Instagram (which is owned by Facebook).
I usually used MySpace more.
Not the actual MySpace, but a MySpace clone that is also called "MySpace".
Facebook is kinda going downhill, even Instagram cannibalizing it.
In Sweden, Cash is already dead. Thousands of people have already gotten microchip implants in their right hand or forehead, to replace paper money. Most people will probably just take the microchip, but Christians will have to be dragged kicking and screaming since they fear that these chips are a precursor to the "mark of the beast" or "666".
Not everyone who has money has a credit card, some teens earn money but can't get a credit card until 18.
Credit cards killed cash
People will get even more lazy than they already are and buy their groceries online. AI robots will produce the goods and deliver them so humans don't have to work anymore. This will destroy Capitalism, which is a good thing since Capitalism has already killed off many things (video games, health, etc.) but if Capitalism goes down, it shouldn't try to take us with it.
The year 2030 is only 10 years away. Supermarkets will be prominent for many years after that. The current increase in online grocery shopping is personally no where near significant for this to happen so soon.
As much as I hate to admit it, youtube will be killed in a decade from now, mostly thanks to the site itself. Censorship has started to become rampant and probably only will in the future thanks to their new update which is supposed to come in 2020 which would remove videos that aren't "commercially viable" and it's such a broad term, it might as well remove 90% of videos that ever existed in Youtube. So in other words, rest in peace Youtube.
2005 - 2020
Edit: This comment is an overreaction now
Maybe not. I don't think YouTube will be gone in 2030. Sure, it went downhill. At least there is some good content. Just skip the bad ones that include SJW identity politics, bad music, sex, porn, misinformation, and reckless behavior. Well, all I can say is things are not the same like they used to be. The rules have changed.
It is getting more and more controlling with the content they will allow on their site their monetization system has already screwed over many of the channels that mde youtube a cool site in the first place now it is turning into more of an online T.V. catering to Popular shows more than the independent producers
He'll definitely retire in the next couple years
I could also see it ending too. Mainly because of Netflix and other streaming services as well as on the air TV as well. Considering the fact that with streaming and having an antenna for on air is not just cheaper, but more convenient as well. I would rather pay 30 dollars for an antenna and 10 dollars monthly for streaming then paying 100+ for cable that I'll only watch only 7 Channels.
Who the hell uses satellite TV? If it's raining or snowing, you can't watch TV because it interferes with the signal. Unless it's your only option (like if you live in a rural area), just switch to cable.
On A Side Note, Having an Antenna, Netflix, Hulu, and Disney+ is like Giving Cable the Middle Finger.
Let go of the whole satellite TV thing anyway
I wouldn't be too surprised if the site got shut down at some point tbh. It seems very dead, and inactive atm. So that genuinely wouldn't shock me in the slightest.
I'll be suspended if I make at comment as to why this may/may not be true
I could see that happening, wouldn't be shocked by it.
Don't know about anyone else, but I'm going to keep watching DVDs on my DVD player until the day I die. Call me a caveman all you want, but at least with physical media, companies can't suddenly remove certain episodes that were airing on TV for years. Remember what happened to the episode "Mid-Life Crustacean" earlier this year? Physical media will always be superior to streaming.
They will just stop making CDs, Blu-rays, and DVDs since everyone uses Netflix and Spotify nowadays.
I still hold on to them due to the rise in censorship
Sadly DVDs and Blu Rays will be died by 2030
This app has the same date as Musically. I don't hate it but it might get deleted due to lawsuits, inappropriate content, or getting banned.
I will be celebrating the day Tik Tok dies because of how lame it is compared to other websites such as YouTube, PicMix, and MySpace.
As kids get older and learn better video editing techniques and pass them down, I wouldn't be surprised.
on YouTube there are YouTubers who've discovered American Football isn't as honest as it appears to be, they've dissected the equipment/gear & found magnets in specific areas of the equipment, NFL conspiracy theorists no longer watch Football because they've examined/analyzed every season & focused on specific athletes on what they do, they even examined footage off field. NFL conspiracy theorists have more than enough evidence to prove American Football never been honest, Sports Conspiracy Theorists are more correct than the casual fanatic, the NFL has been milking off of its own fanbases by utilizing deception, the NFL utilizes negative affectivity. the NFL has been utilizing negative affectivity since the 1940s, the NFL has been liberating critical thinking by utilizing deception to gain their billions by manipulating & deceiving its own fanbases. the NFL is playing by the Divide and Rule Bread and Circuses playbook, the NFL has ties with Washington DC, they know how to deceive people by making their superstars & athletes false idols, the NFL athletes never ever worshiped God but worshiped pedophiles to gain their multimillions.
By 2030, we will have flying cars and firstly, more self-driving cars.
I could see the cloud going to die because of one thing: Hackers. With the cloud, your data is more prone to them, which probably explains why SD Cards are replacing USBs and the cloud.
With video games, it's worse because once they're gone, that's it, they're gone for good. Which probably explains why no one likes Stadia. To add insult to injury, more and more hackers are breaking in to the cloud, stealing precious data, but even then, if hackers don't kill your files, then the server will. The cloud is just too unsafe for files, which explains why I would rather use SD Cards than the cloud. Because at least with them, they're less prone to hackers.
Sobbing about the digital stuff and the internet
No, it's a good site for art. Just because it has infamous arts, that doesn't mean it's bad.
It doesn't need to die out.
Eclipse however, that's a different story.
Yup. The internet as we know it was good & then it went downhill with all these fights, mean comments & inappropriate images, videos & games. Some people bully one another even for no reason. The internet used to be a safer place as well. Now we also deal with things like spyware, malware, & even virus-including websites. Plus while there's still fun going on for now, it's not what it used to be & will never be that good again. Plus sites like Google are known for tracking data & YouTube used to be a good site for entertainment but then went downhill & focuses more on advertisements, shock value & money. Yet MySpace was great & the classic of social media until marketing & other issues brought it downhill. Facebook was supposed to be about connecting with friends even in the past & while it is, it's more focused on marketing business & (you guessed it) money. Yet Twitter is stricter than before & not adding an edit feature & Snapchat was good but went way downhill in 2018 with the new ...more
Or at least the Internet as we know it. The clearnet will be doomed and our only hope of survival is the deep web. Censorship and mass surveillance will only get worse.
I don't see how the internet would be dead in the upcoming decades, so long as advanced technology exists.
No more internet for you! The Internet was a pure evil thing to the eco consicous people by 2030 and beyond after the pre WW3 2029 wrapped
This will probably not going to happen, it has been on the rise lately due to it's newest update.
No words to describe Fortnite and all the other terrible Battle Royale games
It needs to. It's a Satanic game.
What the hell is this thing you call 'music' that is just a robot-sounding voice over an annoying beat? This isn't music.
We might still exist in the future.
This is the only thing on this list that I want to go away. I still use cash, Facebook, grocery stores, satellite TV, the internet, and YouTube.
At least this long running virus from hell is dead. I feel like a spiral of those lockdowns and masking restrictions stolen from the SARS virus's influence as nobody really cares about many multiple variations of Coronavirus came to swarm.
This is the only thing that's sensible voting for. I hope this pandemic completely disappears. Everything else here is a scrambled mess.
Political correctness will continue and eventually the first amendment will be gone. Censorship will thrive. I heard New York is now charging people $250,000 just for saying the words "Illegal alien".
Nah, it has survived for centuries now, many 3rd world countries didn't even try it.
One of the main reasons America was founded.
It will be. Free speech goes irrelevant
I hope it stays but the CEO needs to go. Jack is turning Twitter into a leftist propaganda site that sensors or otherwise bans anyone who dares say anything bad about the left.
It hopefully will lose its current leadership and staff real soon. The site won't go away but I hope Jack Dorsey does.
And Twitter site as well as Skype
