Most Needlessly Sexualized Female Video Game Characters

The Top Ten
1 Lara Croft (Tomb Raider) Lara Croft is a fictional character and the protagonist of the Square Enix video game franchise Tomb Raider.

The only reason she is a sexy woman is that we don't have to stare at a man's back for a few hours.

2 Tifa Lockhart (Final Fantasy VII)
3 Morrigan Aensland (Darkstalkers) Morrigan Aensland is a video game character from the Darkstalkers series of fighting games by Capcom, introduced in Darkstalkers: The Night Warriors in 1994.

I know she's a succubus, but not all succubi make themselves that obvious.

4 Bayonetta (Bayonetta) Bayonetta, real name Cereza, is a fictional character and protagonist of the video game Bayonetta and its sequel, developed by PlatinumGames and published by Sega and Nintendo respectively.

They really over did it in the second game, it really wasn't necessary. Her being badass is enough.

5 Triss Merigold (The Witcher)

Triss is one of the rare characters where I don't think she was needlessly sexualized. It's part of her character and sex is everywhere in The Witcher series as a whole (books, games and T.V. series). At least that's the way I look at it, most people probably think the opposite.

6 Jill Valentine (Resident Evil) Jill Valentine is a fictional character from the Resident Evil series first appearing in the first Resident Evil game in 1996 as one of the two playable characters, she would also go on to star in Resident Evil 3: Nemesis.
7 Juliet Starling (Lollipop Chainsaw) Juliet Starling is the main protagonist of Lollipop Chainsaw an 18 year old high school senior who is also a zombie hunter along with the rest of her family her main weapon is her trusty chainsaw.

They definitely took advantage of her being 18...

8 Quiet (Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain Series)

That phosphorylation excuse was just perfect.

9 Kasumi (Dead or Alive) Kasumi is a player character and the primary protagonist of the Dead or Alive fighting game series by Team Ninja and Tecmo.

Like all Dead or Alive female characters

10 Miranda Lawson (Mass Effect)
The Contenders
11 Ivy (Soul Calibur) Isabella Valentine, commonly called Ivy, is a fictional character in the Soulcalibur series of video games.
12 Mai Shiranui (Fatal Fury / The King of Fighters) Mai Shiranui is a player character in the Fatal Fury and The King of Fighters series of fighting games by SNK.
13 Byleth (Fire Emblem)

This list is full of prudes… her outfit isn't even that revealing, plus even if she did wear something more modest you'd still complain just cause she's hot. Anyway, she'll always be my number one waifu!

The female has a skimpier outfit than her male counterpart. Whereas Robin, the player character in "Fire Emblem Awakening", wears the exact same outfit regardless of gender and the only real difference between male and female Corrin is the presence of breasts.

14 Widowmaker (Overwatch) Widowmaker is a fictional, playable villain hero appearing in the 2016 video game Overwatch, developed and published by Blizzard Entertainment. Introduced in November 2014 at BlizzCon, Widowmaker made her debut in Overwatch, released in May 2016.
15 Gardevoir (Pokémon) Gardevoir is a third-generation Pokémon species originally introduced as a Psychic type creature in Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire in Nintendo and Game Freak's Pokémon franchise.
16 Lopunny (Pokémon) Lopunny, known in Japan as Mimilop, is a Pokémon species in Nintendo and Game Freak's Pokémon franchise.
17 Candy (Fighting Vipers)
18 Tracer (Overwatch) Tracer is a playable character appearing in the 2016 video game Overwatch, a first-person shooter video game developed by Blizzard Entertainment.
19 Mileena (Mortal Kombat) Mileena is a character from the Mortal Kombat franchise who debuted in the sequel Mortal Kombat II as a clone of Kitana by Shang Tsung using Tarkatan DNA resulting in her mouth having razor sharp teeth that of a Tarkatan like Baraka, she hated her sister Kitana and vowed to destroy her and take over her identity.

I added this for a reason. I don't hate her, but I feel like she's very over-sexualized.

20 Felicia (Darkstalkers)
21 Wii Fit Trainer (Wii Fit)
22 Hsien-Ko (Darkstalkers)
23 Headhunter (Fortnite)
24 Min-Min (ARMS)
25 Ada Wong (Resident Evil) Ada Wong is a fictional character in the Resident Evil horror franchise by Capcom. She is a mysterious and ambiguous antihero figure, working for the series' villains but also helping the protagonist Leon S. Kennedy.
