Amazing Athlete
The Trail Blazers we're still a team with an identity. IN 1974, they fought they found one in a star named Bill Walton, and though he plays well the Trail Blazers we're watching the playoffs at home and Walton suffered through many injuries. Then before the 1976-77 season Jack Ramsey came as head coach and finally the Trail Blazers and at last a healthy Walton was ready. The playoffs we're at last a reality for this team and in the NBA Finals they met Julius Erving and the Philadelphia Sixers. After 6 games Portland we're finally world champions.

An amazingly good player, on the same level with Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, so sad that he was trapped in the USSR during his prime years. Even the old and crippled Sabonis that we saw on the Blazers was good.
If Walton excels on offense, Maurice Lucas excels on defense. He was an All-Star 4 times and an NBA Champion in 1977.

The history of the Trail Blazers began here with this guy. Geoff Petrie arrived at the same time the Trail Blazers began play in the NBA. As a rookie he did all right as he made the City of Portland with his brilliant play as he was the NBA All-rookie Team, play in the NBA All-Star Game and was named the NBA rookie of the Year. Twice he scored 51 points in a single game. Led the team with a 24.9 points per game in the 1972-73 season. But his playing career ended too soon but he'll be a great executive for the Trail Blazers.
