    She got trapped in the Underworld after being kidnapped and eating some fruit from the Underworld, namely a pomegranate. She was said to roam the earth during the spring and summer, when her mother, Demeter, would be glad to see her and bring harvests. However, during the fall and winter, Demeter was always sorrowful and sad about her daughter being gone.
